  • @misscia22 great song Gosh I miss the 90's

  • You guy do realize that Scott has a new band.

  • @CPDheadstomp What new band?

  • @ShaunMorgan98 Scott Lucas & The Married Men. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

  • this is one of those songs that defines what alternative was in the 90's, pumpkins, pearl jam, soundgarden and nirvana. All these bands had one thing in common, they kicked f@#$kin ass. The bands mention blew everyone else out of the water, local H just happened to be the other one.

  • This video reminds me of the Columbine Shooting. I know, it's weird. Good song, though! It sucks that Local H aren't that well known.

  • The 90's need to not be such a distant memory. come backkkkkkkkk

  • @KMill3r4519

i will do my best to bring it back, you should help. You play drums?

  • @RLSH0W Doing that shit with my own band, not as a grundge or hard rock, but lyric wise look us up if you have the time, YT/thepages01

  • I always thought the name for the song was Born To Down. I have been corrected.

  • Makes me think of equality :/

Especially the part in the video with the milk bar scene XD But really

This song really speaks to me(:

  • i love this song it was made in the 90's?!?!?! hmm i learn new things every day

  • I was born to be down. So pathetic...

  • wow i cant believe no one responded to this great song

  • Okay.

  • Q101 . . . . . .

  • this is chicago music . . . . .

  • saw em at the metro, a long time ago, i wish i would have kept the flyer . . . .

  • U PEOPLE JUST DONT GET ITTTTTTT

  • Reminds me of being in this sea of idiotic American voters for the past 21 years...

  • Reminds me of idiots who care about work/money/politics more than their own family (like my dad)

  • Awesome song!!!

  • lmao right? where the hell did you get sacrificing from lol

  • i love the style of the old alternative music videos.

  • Copacetic = Ultra-Happiness xD

  • @Sevenchappels it means average, normal, okay.

  • @Bigp426 Big Cheese

  • "Copecetic"... Can Be Defined (For Example) As Sacrificing A Man's Life To A Cow... For More Milk...

  • wtf dude are u stupid, copecetic means satisfactory, fine or ok it has nothng to do with sacrificing

  • What? You Think That It's AllRight To Sacrifice A Man's Life To A Cow...For More Milk? Because THAT Is The Absurdity Of ACCEPTING The"Satisfactory" Definition That You Think "Copecetic" Means... When You Blindly Accept A False Meaning Of A Word, You Are Led By Its False Meaning To Be Slaughtered...THAT Is What The Chorus To "Bound For The Floor" Is About... "...You Keep It Copecetic, You KNOW IT's JUST PATH-THETIC..."

    ...

I'm NOT Insulting You... I'm Just Pointing Out The ANGER Of The Chorus...

  • Oh... And Here's An Interesting Fact: I Think There Was A Political-Party Of Liberals(?) In British Columbia, Canada That Was Called "COPE"..After "Copecetic".

  • Comment removed

  • @LordPrick nah its more like settling than sacrifice not good not bad jus blah jus lik people who do shit to b cool there usually just fine which is the point of this song

  • i saw a lot of dispute over the name of the song. It's "bound for the floor!" but who gives a fuck what the name is. it's a good song point blank. so quit arguing and just enjoy the music.

  • Comment removed

  • only 29 words used in this entire song in different variations. yet still amazing. thats "simply" amazing in every literal sense :D

  • This is a throw back for real. I hail from Lake County Illinois and maybe Scott Lucas has forgotten his roots, but it's all good.I learn to accept it.

  • i made the 100th comment

  • lol 979 atl?

  • No its not called so pathetic i have the album u fail lol

  • clearly its called bound for the floor?

  • I have this video in better quality on my page.

    I fixed the picture :D

  • liar

  • WTF, can anyone help me oput? i was listening to the radio- WGRD, and this osng came on and they said it was local h with "copasetic"

  • they were refering to the line

And you just dont get it

    You keep it copacetic

  • The song is called Bound For The Floor, but some people know it as Copasetic,You Don't and other variations...

  • hahaahaha, faiil

  • haha...i was listening to the SAME station...same thing....97.9?

  • haha yep 97 9 grd

  • its "bound for the floor"

  • i for one think its bad ass he set up his guitar like that fuckin right. Born to be down.

  • Local H Fuck Yeah

  • this is when all the good music came out :P

  • miss 90s

  • And you just don't get it!

  • This song always comes to mind when I run into people who suck! LOL!

  • @metalcoffin Let the bodies hit the floor!

  • i flee like offing myself

  • me too

  • sometimes its a sad existence

  • You know what trips me out? They claim to be a bass-less band...

but you can clearly hear the bass in this song.

I like it, though... but it's not bass-less.

  • yeah the dude tapes a bass pickup to his guitar. so hes playing both

  • Comment removed

  • the lead singer's guitar has 3 bass strings and 3 guitar strings, it has a bass pickup and a guitar pickup, and he has 2 outputs. one goes to a guitar amp and one goes to a bass amp. that's how there's bass. john entwistle for the who did the same thing, except he went to 2 bass amps with his bass.

  • wtf, why?

  • seriously that is retarded you pulled that out of your ass dude

  • sorry that just would not work. string instruments have a specific string scale length. that is why bass guitars have a longer neck then guitars. so what you are claming is complete bullshit.

  • you can cut string to make them the right length. just look it up.

  • well, too bad. i've seen them live, met scott lucas in person, and have personally asked him. (you can talk to him after just about every show at their merch table)

He has bass pickups that run through an octave pedal. With 2 output jacks on his guitar. One goes through said pedal and into a bass amp, the other through his guitar amp rig.

Now, for this recording, and all Local H recordings, he just records normal bass guitar.

  • You are absolutely right. When they opened for STP in 96-97 that's how he had his stuff rigged.

  • cool

  • i always hear this song on the radio right before i go to sleep, but of course i have to listen to the whole song before falling asleep. awesome song.

  • i looove this song, passionately.

  • whoa this song flashes back teen years in the 90s hahha

  • mmm hmm...i was thinkin the same thing.

  • For me it actually takes me back to my elementary school years. Makes me sad that the kids in that vid are about as old as I am :(

  • awesome song

  • i didnt get it,until i saw the last third of the vid

  • one of my most favorite songs ever

  • this song brings back good memories.

    big up.

  • check out tobwarln's cover of this song. its pretty good

  • no it isnt.

    lol.

  • ik lol but dont tell the other ppl in my band haha

  • addictive

  • niceeee sonnggg !(:

  • i love this song.

tho when i look at the lead singer... ehhh... scott???

it reminds me of anthony soprano then that makes me think of jared leto and that makes me think of requiem for a dream.

so to me this song is very deep xD

actually... the words kinda remind me of that movie as well.

  • He reminds me more of a mixture between jared leto and billy corgan (facially) and he has very similar vocal qualities to billy as well.

  • this song is bombdiggity. end of story. =]

  • It's up there with best alternative! 90's

  • this song is copacetic!

  • This song is awesome! Me & my band cover it! Y'all should check out my band, mspace/lightfelt

  • i luv this i heard it on kroq ^.^

  • It doesn't play enough...

  • KROQ is the SHIT! But I agree, they only play it in the morning. And maybe around 4ish.

  • yeahhh sammeee heree .

  • this one has better sound quality than all the other ones i checked. im so confused tho. ive seen the song called "copasetic" "born to be down" and "bound for the floor" I wonder what its really called? >_________O

  • It's "Bound to the Floor."

  • Its "Bound FOR the floor".

  • i have every local h album and it's "bound to the floor"

  • That's what I said! Some jackass said it's "born to be down". I guess we both corrected him!

  • The song is really called bound for the floor. Another great song off of the same album is "high fivin mother fucker" check it out! Have a good one!!!!

  • And then do yourself a favor and buy "Hamfisted", "Pack Up The Cats", "Here Comes The Zoo", "Whatever Happened To PJ Soles?", The "No Fun" EP and "12 Angry Months." You will NOT be disappointed :)
