for those of you who havent actually seen the bit of gameplay that they have released should not even speak about why or what makes him what he looks like. frankly the bit of game play i have seen KICKS ASS and is totally worth the buy when it finally comes out (which I am still waiting for!!!). i mean of course the original dante will forever be the coolest but who cares if its a great game? thats like getting upset with castlevania for using different people of the belmont clan. i dont really like the new dante because in the anime we see dante young like 6 or 7 years old and he have is white hair in a flashback why now at 16 or 17 is black maybe a curse he need to destroy or something like that i dont know but if the game not explain that DMC is DEAD

Lets think if this is truly a first chapter for the Devil May Cry Series. Then I believe Capcom should STOP! okay Dante's awakening was great. The DMC series is complete in a mess. 5-3-1-4-2. So if Capcom is saying this is the first chapter and calling it only DMC, then Complete follow it and recreate our favorite badass with better moves bigger enemies and more in depth stories... and don't give me that "We can't" Don't butcher a great character let alone his series
they should have set dmc5 between dmc4 and dmc2. I like 1:04 because it shows that there's hope for a connect which is the only reason that I'd buy it but everything else about new dante is inferior to everything about real dante.
personally, my favorite dante was from dmc4. i think that one had the most character. the dante from dmc1 barely talked and, knowing that dmc3 is before dmc1 and dmc4 is after, he's not very... i guess cohesive. dmc3 dante was way too much of a joker for my taste and, idk why, but his hair just looked weird. dmc2 dante was way too dark and mellow. i guess dmc4 dante was my favorite cause i just loved playing as him.

@playadelrey100 i recommend getting 4. for a while, you play as a different character, but he has stuff that make him similar yet very different from dante's style. i really enjoyed the story and it's nice to play a dmc game with ps3 graphics. gameplay wise, they really build off of dante's style system from dmc3 but IMO make it way better. the only downside to the game is the upgrade system. red orbs are used for items and for abilities, you get proud souls based on mission performance
@playadelrey100 I played all of them, and even had to help my sister when she couldn't play Dante in 4 to save her life. I was and still am attracted to the more quiet, serious characters. Might be hated for this, but I don't really like Dante from 3 because he shows too much skin. I like my men in gentlemens' clothing with the attitude to match.

everything i've read says that this is a dante from an alternate universe. think about it: the normal dante has white hair. what's the opposite of white? black. the normal dante is bigger and healthier. what's the opposite of that? skinny and a smoker (i know, that one's a stretch). the normal dante is a joker. opposite of that? this emo version of dante. normal dante is half demon. opposite of that? half angel. everything about this dante proves that this dante is from an alternate universe
This kinda reminds me of the weeks.leading up to re4's release. Countless people (including me at the time) refused to play it due to a drastic change to the games, going from walking corpses to intelligent enemies. SnipeZombie's right. If nothing else, rent DmC. If you hate it, at least you'll confirm your suspicions, instead of being left out of what could be a great game.

Hey everyone. I'd like to point out that the annotation in the beginning of the video contains false information. A somewhat recent-ish interview has revealed that this game happens in a different "universe" altogether. So it doesn't happen in a different time period: it's a bloody reboot.
Nothing will ever beat DMC 3 Dante. And yes, the new one looks indeed like a twillight inspired faggot. I for one wouldn't buy this new so called "Devil May Cry" game in a hundred fucking years.

i read somewhere that this game (they're calling it DmC instead of DMC5. idk why) is set in a parallel universe to the other games. This was on wikipedia though so idk how reliable it is. plus, they got rid of dante's red overcoat cause they wanted to make him look like someone you might actually see on the streets and the red overcoat would be too obvious and even a little comical
I'm just saying, I wouldn't play a game that has a crazy looking remake of an old character that still works. I'm going to maybe try it, but I'm not too thrilled about the fact that they changed a character that still works. I'm hoping that this is a younger version of the same Dante because if it's not, I just don't like this new guy, the only thing that is giving me the feeling of playing is I can't wait to see him develop from this delinquent piece of crap into the Dante I like! =D

I'd like to inform everyone that DmC has been revealed to be set in an alternate universe. This is NOT the same Dante as in the mainstream Devil May Cry games. In other words white-haired Dante is a different person from black-haired Dante.

It's true that the New Dante looks different from the old one but "You can't judge a book by it's cover". The game hasn't been released yet and from what I've seen on the trailer, the combat is still the same awesome mix of swords and guns that we have all come to know and love from the series.

personally, my favorite dante was from dmc4. i think that one had the most character. the dante from dmc1 barely talked and, knowing that dmc3 is before dmc1 and dmc4 is after, he's not very... i guess cohesive. dmc3 dante was way too much of a joker for my taste and, idk why, but his hair just looked weird. dmc2 dante was way too dark and mellow. i guess dmc4 dante was my favorite cause i just loved playing as him.

@playadelrey100 i recommend getting 4. for a while, you play as a different character, but he has stuff that make him similar yet very different from dante's style. i really enjoyed the story and it's nice to play a dmc game with ps3 graphics. gameplay wise, they really build off of dante's style system from dmc3 but IMO make it way better. the only downside to the game is the upgrade system. red orbs are used for items and for abilities, you get proud souls based on mission performance

@playadelrey100 I played all of them, and even had to help my sister when she couldn't play Dante in 4 to save her life. I was and still am attracted to the more quiet, serious characters. Might be hated for this, but I don't really like Dante from 3 because he shows too much skin. I like my men in gentlemens' clothing with the attitude to match.

and seriously guys? bitching about a character's attitude is pretty dumb. if the gameplay is fun, it really shouldn't matter. think about the first dmc game. there really wasn't much of a plot there and there weren't very many cutscenes. people loved it though because the gameplay was great. also, dante didn't seem as lighthearted in that game as he did in dmc 4 and 3. plus, dmc 2 dante seemed really dark and gloomy.

i read somewhere that this game (they're calling it DmC instead of DMC5. idk why) is set in a parallel universe to the other games. This was on wikipedia though so idk how reliable it is. plus, they got rid of dante's red overcoat cause they wanted to make him look like someone you might actually see on the streets and the red overcoat would be too obvious and even a little comical

This is some kid which Ninja Theory thought would make the game "cooler". This has NOTHING to do with dmc1/2/3/4. It's a REBOOT. However, nothing is ever certain. For all I know, I may be wrong. It's true that the New Dante looks different from the old one but "You can't judge a book by it's cover". The game hasn't been released yet and from what I've seen on the trailer, the combat is still the same awesome mix of swords and guns that we have all come to know and love from the series.
