  • Nope, Chuck Testa.

  • It's disgusting what you're doing to this poor creature. Look at the savage cruelty!

  • @Jelloxox WHAT savage cruelty? That fox was bred to be a pet and be treated like one--just like the wolves were thousands of years ago.

  • they move so fastly-like! D:

  • This fox is obviously being HORRIBLY mistreated...(grin)

  • Awwwwww

    lolocaust

  • it looks tamed, can fennec foxes be tamed like dogs?

  • @Xezatt They can be however they wont be as tame as the average dog is but can be kept as a pet none the less

  • @Xezatt they're semi domesticated, they are pretty good pets but they're extremely active and require a lot of attention and special care. They are also very, very, VERY noisy... -.-

  • Zen....Zen...Zen....SPAZ~~!

  • Looks like fennec fox heavenly bliss mode.

  • OMG! I give my car, my job and my soul to have one of this little folk. My life have no point until i get one. Fuck, im live in Brazil...

  • @SladeForelly

you can't have fennecs in Brazil?

  • @KnittingPasta I actually never see one selling here, i guess they are native of north america, and people dont know much about him down here...

  • @SladeForelly @KnittingPasta Fennec Foxes are native to the Sahara desert in North Africa. Here in Brazil the government has strict laws regarding the importation and maintenance of non-native animals. These laws exist to protect our native fauna since some exotic animals may carry parasites to which our wildlife is vulnerable. Some animals may even escape and cause an inbalance in the ecosystem. That's why it is very hard to have access to new exotic pets.

  • @Nanjenchan True! Thats makes sense! I saw something about this before in tv, something about parasites slugs coming into the ships to our sea and the problem about this... I dont know about the law but i understang, its sad but its the right thing...

  • 0:04

    looks dead

  • IT looks like the squirrel from ice age

    xDD

  • whoa i thought it was stuffed in the beginning O.O

  • Remember that trippy hyper-space scene in 2001: Space Odyssey?

I bet that's what he sees when you caress his ear like that.

  • the description was a little incoherent lol but its all good he looks pretty chill!

  • My little beagle is the same way. If I just rub that one spot in his ears he goes all lip with this "Oh yeah..." type of act. Apparently it's a calming thing for little furry critters.

Wow - so they really stiffen? Is this just with you fennex, or do they all do that?

  • You should put your mouth on his tummy and blow some hot air into it to see what happens.

  • lol hes playin dead

  • Most dogs do find an ear massage comforting. So I suppose it's much the same with your fox.

  • lmaoooo

  • Where in Europe can you buy a Fennec fox? Please anyone replay I'm very interessted in these little guys

  • to cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • LMAO ear fetish.

  • DEAR GOD i am dead from the cute.

Is it hard caring for fennec foxes? Because I'd be willing to spend the time and money to get a licensce and care for one :3

  • Hardest part is where to keep it. best way is if you have an extra room in your house...make it into a sand/play room for them and have two so they dont get lonely. But its not a requirement. unless you have a yard with very tall walls that cant be climbed or dug under the yard is out. keeping them in the house is okay...but they will tear up carpet and sometimes furniture if you get one thats a real digger... and if they get out on accident its bad news. So yeah..its hard, but possible.

  • Some people also use large animal cages... But I dont think thats a preferable option for your fox.

  • A cage for when you cannot be with your fox is VARY preferable. They are small so a large cage, like a four story Ferret Cage, offers a great place to run around and sleep. Its a horrible idea to let them off around your home without supervision because not only will they find a way out, but they can get into things and get hurt.

  • If you havn't already, join groups on Yahoo, there are a bunch. Or talk to a breeder. Anyone telling you to let them run free all the time doesn't know what they are talking about so beware. I've talked to alot of people, and am researching them because i hope to buy one when i have the funds, and you need to give them a cage if you arn't with them.

And from what i've read/learned, they arn't that hard to take care of. Harder then a dog or cat but not anything horrible

  • *pass out* -.-

  • thats how my dog sleeps :)))

  • I am a Doctror, he is dead :-D lol.

  • haha so cute! 'oh yes ear rubs .. must not move a single microscopic muscle :D

  • so yeah, I kinda looked at medusa and, umm, could ya help me out here?!

    lol

  • HAHA took me a while to get it.

  • ...i thought he was dead ...XD

    but he is cuteeeeeee^^

  • is he dead? LOL cutest thing ever!

  • lol, the animal is enjoying, but i think that f foxes never actually feel 100percent safe.... did u see the very end of the vid?

  • They tend to be skittish, but can become very relaxed around humans they know. Around strangers they tend to become worried and tense but can warm up to them.

  • i want one!! :3

  • im sure this fox just had a nice bellyrub and is now enjoying an earmassage. im aslo certain that this animal feels perfectly safe.

  • so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • cute

  • Who taught him how to play dead like that? XD

  • SOOOOOO adorable can't wait to own one!

  • Would you rather they be left in the wild where they're constantly hunted and preyed on? I guarantee this fox will live longer than ones out in the wild do. So from this moment forward, I'll be considering all such posts to be spam.

  • Not to mention you need a permit to have exotic animals, and Fennecs are just that - exotic animals. So evidently, these people know a thing or two about them, since you can't get a permit without knowledge about them.

  • An "unhappy" pet would NOT sleep with it's belly exposed...much less sleep at all. Before you spread your PETA junk, get an education.

  • A double degree does not guarantee that someone is educated (Especially if it's in a ludicrous field such as cosmetology). Neither does age. I'm not saying I'm wise, but I'm not drawing ridiculous conclusions. I'm making an observation. No matter what sophisticated animal on the planet you refer to, it will not sleep with it's stomach exposed if it is afraid or unhappy. Now, if you have a degree in Zoology or Animal/Wildlife Behavior, then maybe I will reconsider my opinions.

  • as with the other replies. if this animal wasn't happy or afraid of its owner it wouldn't let the human get any where near it let alone touch it and sure as hell not let the human touch it while its sleeping. yes their wild animals but so were most domesticated animal at one point. all dogs were wild once. so by your rules all domesticated doges aren't happy and should be set free, i think not. while fennec domestication is in its infancy they do make fairly good house pets thus, domestication.

  • Oh my gos... before I saw the end I definatly thought it was dead.... It wasn't moving at all, I really could have sworn it was dead. hahah.

  • omg adorable

  • Teto looks calm and peaceful but I thot fennec foxes were suposed to be more hyper then heck

  • I'd have to concur. So many of these Youtube videos seem to portray fennecs as being utterly hyper in a home environment.

But then, they're still animals, and all animals (humans included) need their downtime.

  • it looks like a puppy (:

    cutee XD

  • smak!

  • lol it's a fennec possum :OOO XD that's funny im getting a fennec soon :D

  • nice, I was wondering when it would get up...

  • it looks dead XD

  • LOL Does it think it's a possum or something? Silly thing...

  • How adorable! What made it jump up? It looked so contented with the ear rub.

  • it looks like sumthing from the gremlins lol

  • Jesus I thought it was dead until it jumped up! Thank god it's ok!

  • That is so cute ^^ the fennec is me of course :3

  • That is one comfy looking fox

  • i love that fox its so cute

  • HAHA omg i laughed at first, then was like "oh.. wait, omg, is it dead? how sad!" then when it jumped up, i laughed again.. great vid!

  • ha ye me too

  • I thought it was dead too D: you can barely see it breathing. he's so cute though ^.^

  • finally, it moved!

  • lol suspended animation

  • That's one of the interesting things about fennecs. They're one of the few canines (if not the only ones) to actually have fur over the pads of their hands/feet (Sahara sand is freakin' hot! OW!)

  • Wowie the little guy was really in to the petting huh? tottal zoned out! my cat does that soem times
