  • so with the page protectors behind each section, it it just like a pocket in a folder or is it one page per protector? oh, and if I want to put multiple classes in one binder, how should I distinguish between classes... if that makes sense.. :)

  • @tintindayzee you can fit two pages in one page protector if you do it back to back! so it's kinda like a folder! you could use pocket folders to distinguish between classes or use a sheet of a different color! i have an updated version of this video from last fall where i put 2 classes per binder if you want to check it out! thanks for watching! let me know if you have any more questions! : )

  • that paper is called fireball fusha i think my teacher loved that color

  • Does the 1" usually fill up by the end of the semester? And instead of having individual sheets of notebook paper for notes, could you use a sprial notebook?

For the most part I organize my binder like this except for the sheet protectors, I LOVE that idea though because I hate when my pages get accidentally ripped out from turning them all the time.

Oh and I'm definitely subscribing to your channel :)

  • Oh and when you go to reuse the sheet protectors and binder for a new class, what do you do with all the other pages from the old class? do you stick them in a folder or one of those accordion files or what?

  • @fayth93 if it's stuff i think would be useful for another class i might take in the future, i will usually put all the stuff in a folder! if i don't think i'll need it, i'll just toss it!

  • @fayth93 i've never had a 1'' fill up completely! there was one time where my binder did get very full, but i try to clean them out regularly throughout the semester. you could definitely use a spiral for notes! i always keep a separate spiral for notes. lately i've been typing notes out of my book for my binder and then keeping a spiral for my class notes. hope that helps! oh and thank you so much for subscribing! : )

  • Love the color coded binder idea! And the scrapbook paper with the class name is so cute. I'm going to do this for my spring semester

  • @KickLemonz thank you! glad you liked it! hope this method works out for you! : )

  • I messaged you awhile back, but I don't have the messages anymore so I wanted to ask you some questions again. What size scrap booking paper do you use? You said you got the paper from Hobby Lobby, did you get the stickers from there as well? Do you put the scrap booking paper in just the front or do you use it on the side and back too?

  • @aperry5208 hello! i use 8.5X11. which is the size of just standard copy paper as well! i got the stickers from hobby lobby too! they sale them at any craft store though! i usually just put it in the front, but i just did any update video for this about 2 months ago showing my binders for this semester and i put it on the side as well! i usually put my schedule in the back! hope this helps! let me know if you have any other questions! : )

  • This is so cute yet, conservative.... nice!!!! ;)

  • @TotallyPandaable thanks so much! : )

  • You are a genius. I start my spring semester in January and I am so doing this. Life Saver.!!!!

  • @haralsonkaylak haha yay! so glad you liked it! : )

  • I have a question! If you have a like a 10 page essay, do you stick the entire essay in one page protector? or do you put each page of the essay in its own page protector?

  • @PersianPrincess12 i usually just stick the whole thing in a page protector! that way i'm not using up too many page protectors at once! once an essay is graded, i don't tend to look back on it too often so it doesn't bother me too much to have to pull it out when i want to look at it!

  • In England, the sheet protectors are like 100 for £2! :O

  • @Beautifulbells22 hmm i've never made my own planner before, i've always just bought the ones already made! i'm not sure how to go about making your own, but i will try to come up with some ideas for you or do a video! what part of the binder organization are you having trouble with? just let me know and i can definitely help you!

  • @Beautifulbells22 hmm what exactly are you having trouble with? i can see if i can help a little bit more!

  • @Beautifulbells22 i try to look at my syllabus and see what kind of things we will be doing in the class to give myself a general idea. i would usually do something like handouts, notes, worksheets/assignments, (possibly a projects if you do a lot of science projects) and then one for tests or quizzes! hope this helps! : )

  • @Beautifulbells22 yep, definitely! (this year i have two subjects in each binder and it works just fine.) just figure out a way to divide your classes, but you can still use this method to organize each subject within! : )

  • @smileyface0400 aww yay! hope you like this method! and thank you so much for the compliment! : )

  • Hiya I love this Vid and im tryting it out this year its a really good way to organize a binder

  • @BlueRose751 yay! thanks! hope you like this method! : )

  • what brand of tabs do you use for the dividers ?:)

  • @xplicitsz i threw away the package : ( but i believe i just used the regular post it brand that you can get at walmart or any office supplies store! i will look next time i go to the store and let you know for sure!

  • I did my school supply haul two weeks ago and got a binder and dividers! I picked out specifically Avery brand for the clear sleeve and got page protectors from my dad. My question for you is if I can still use your method of page protectors as dividers even though I have one big binder. I have difficulty with organization and have a habit of being forgetful so one binder is easier for me to remember. Can you please help? Thanks!

  • @amanthainachinashop2 Hi! I think it would still be perfectly fine to use this method with one big binder and you should still be able to use page protectors as dividers. If you find it to be a little confusing, you can try separating the actually classes in the binder with pocket folders if you need to differentiate the subjects better! I have to put more than one subject per binder this year and I am still using this method! I think it will be fine! : )

  • I am still in high school but watching your college couture videos makes me wanna go to college like now haha!

  • @xoxomakeupandfashion aww that's so awesome! : ) it will come before you know it so make sure and enjoy high school! sometimes i wish i could go back! haha but college is great too! : )

  • can you make a video of how to take notes ? do you use many color pen while when taking notes ? or just three color black blue andred . and the protector paper is for notes hand out only in the binder ? do you write notes on seperate notebook college rules as well ? I hope you can answer my question thank you , and you are so beautiful !

  • @RedDevilsChicha14 yep i am definitely going to be doing a video on notes once school starts back up. i don't tend to use colored pens, i prefer black pens, but i love colored highlighters! i only use page protectors in the binders! i write my notes in a regular notebook if my class does not allow me to bring my computer (i usually have at least one that doesn't) but i retype them and print them out! i hope i answered all that, but if i missed something just let me know! hope this helped! : )

  • awesome video :) thanks for sharing !

  • @michalassouline you're very welcome! glad you liked! : )

  • I love this video ;) I go back to school in sept and I only need one binder coz the school provides us with books to write in (im from the uk) and i'm gonna decorate my binder similar to this with 2011 - 2012 written on the cover :)

  • @ilovewatchingsinging aw glad to hear you like this video! i hope you this method works out well for you! if you would like you can send me a picture of it to my email or if you have a twitter you can twitpic it to me! a few people have been doing that and it is neat to see all the different ways people decorate their binders! both my email & twitter are on my channel page! : )

  • i reallly like your way of staying organized=]. now i think i bought more notebooks than binders. do you recommend notebooks?

  • @rremixx3 i think notebooks are great and i use a few myself for taking notes! they are great because everything stays together instead of just loose leaf notebook paper. the only part that they are not good for is handouts. but i think they are great and i use a combination or both notebooks and binders! : )

  • I cant "like" this video enough! These tips are going to be SO HELPFULL when I start college this fall :) Thank you so much for sharing!

  • @pathletical aww you're very welcome! i'm so glad that you like this video! best of luck starting college! i hope you have a great year! : )

  • @daceycouture I've actually already started putting them together :) They turned out really cute and they'll help me stay organized. Perfect!

  • Thanks so much for this video. It was a huge help.

  • @beyluv2 you're very welcome! i'm glad you thought so! : )

  • dacey!! hey girl!! i haven't talked to you in FOREVER!! i made my binders and i wish i could show them to you but i'm too afraid to make a youtube video haha! i didn't know you had a twitter!! i'm going to follow you!! you can follow me back if you want and then i'll twitpic you the pics of my cute binders! (@courtneydeshay) can't wait to try your binder organization method!! <3

  • @oohiitscourt aww hey! i just followed you yesterday i believe! you should definitely send me a twitpic! i would love that! : D

  • @daceycouture i will do that tomorrow!! i didn't forget i was out of town and i just got back so i'm extremely tired but i will definitely twitpic it to you tomorrow!!

  • What size scrapbook paper are you using? I love these videos. I saw on your twitter that you were making new binder fronts. If you have a new way or idea of doing it please update! I know everyone including myself would love to know. :) Also will you be doing more college videos now that school is starting back up for you?

  • @x0KELS i use 8.5 X 11 - this size fits perfectly! yes, i am definitely going to start doing more! i have done a few this summer, but have so many planned and i'm sure i will come up with more once i get back into school! i have actually been thinking of doing a quick binder update because i did find a few ways to cut down on the cost of making them (that's what you seen in my twit pic! haha) that i wanted to share, so i will probably do that soon! : )

  • Wow thanks for the tips! Do you find your binders to be heavier because of the page protectors?

  • @adacmchan very welcome! : ) nope, i've never had too much of an issue with that! they are very thin and don't add much weight at all! maybe a little toward the end of the semester when it gets really full, but i try to keep it cleaned out before that happens!

  • where do you get those tabs? ive never seen them like that where you can just stick them on ive only seen them on dividers!

  • @VintageSweetTart14 you can usually find them at walmart, target, or any office supply stores! they will be by the post it notes and sticky notes (not the actual dividers.) hope that helps! : )

  • What do you recommend doing if you take online classes? Have you taken any online classes? I want to take mainly online classes, but I'm not sure if I should or not.

  • @aperry5208 yep, i have taken one online class! to be honest i didn't even use a binder or anything for that class! i kept track of everything on my computer, but i think it depends on the class. my online class was inrto to fiction which was just reading and writing essays, so i just kept a file on my computer with all the essays, however, if it's a class that requires more work (such as math) i would probably recommend to go ahead and make a binder for the class! i actually really enjoyed

  • Respond to this video... my online class! there are many positives to online classes - you get to do your work mostly whenever you have time to do it (like a 2 am in your pajamas laying in bed. haha) the only negative is that you have to be more self sufficient and on top of things since you don't have an actual class that you meet with, but for the most part, i think online classes are a really great option!

  • how can you get th print on the paper?

  • @adamc800388 i just type it up on a word document on my computer and run in through my printer and put the paper where normal copy paper would go!

  • Is your scrapbook paper 12X12 size??

  • @KJ9507 it's 8.5X11!

  • Thank you so much!

  • @itsmypresentation yay! glad you thought so! : )

  • What if we get stapled papers?

  • @rbd510 yeah that is actually a very good question and can see where that could cause problems! i do either one of two things. 1.) if i doesn't need to stay stapled (meaning it's just for personal use and we don't have to turn it in) i will just unstaple it and put the pages individually in the page protectors! or 2.) i will get it stapled and put the entire thing in a page protector. this is a bit of a nuisance since you will have to remove it every time you need to look at it but it hasn't

  • @rbd510 caused too much trouble for me so far! thanks for watching and i hope that helped! : )

  • I love all your ideas; the only thing I would change is making the Binder Titles like labels--sticking the letters on a solid coloured strip so it's more legible, because the patterned paper is so busy you can't read the title very well. That's just a small detail that's not overly important though. Thanks for sharing your ideas! Gave me lots of inspiration :)

  • @OrkyBorkyGorky yeah i totally agree with you! this is the first time i used this busy of a background, so i guess it was a little bit of trial and error! haha i'm glad you like these ideas! thank you so much for watching! : )

  • wow! i watched this so many times (along with your first organization video). i am so excited to use this organization method for my sophomore year next year! i can't wait until i go school supply shopping! thank you so much!

  • @MissBriBeauty thanks so much! i am so glad you liked it! you're welcome on the video! i hope this method works for you and you have a great sophomore year! : )

  • @jade7ruby no problem girl! glad you liked the video! stay serious about school, it will get you far! i hope you have a wonderful year! : )

  • I love love love! this way of organizing and decorating binder! I always used sheet protectors they are a life saver. But, the way you decorate and color code is how I am going to organize senior year.

I really love these college videos. Please do more <3

  • @x0KELS thank you so so much! i am so glad that you enjoyed this video! i plan to do many more college videos! thank you so much for watching and commenting! : )

  • Awesome video! I LOVE your organization. Also, I can usually find page protectors at the dollar store, so that's another option too!

  • You are one smart cookie! Stay orginized...it will continue to help you in the future!

  • @jazzitupstyle well thank you very much! i'll try! : ) haha

  • I have a question tho. For my math class we take a lot of notes but do you recommend I type them at home. We also draw figures tho since it's algebra. I'm not sure you can do that on the computer. Idk what do you think? any suggestions?

  • @babyygurl41 actually i came across the same problem since i am in an algebra class this semester. i went ahead and made a binder for the class for handouts, but also got a little one subject notebook to take all the notes in. i think typing math problems would be really time consuming and like you said, you tend to have to draw figures and such! it would probably be your best bet to just write them in a notebook! : )

  • yayy!! you finally did this video. I was waiting for it for soo long. Thanks girly. This helps me sooo much..

  • @babyygurl41 you're very welcome! i am so sorry it took this long! : (

  • I absolutely looooove your CollegeCouture series. They are so helpful and make me very excited to be going to college this year. Thanks for the amazing videos and please keep them up! =)

  • @LoveCandy009 you are very welcome! i am so glad i helped you! thank you for watching and commenting! : )

  • SssssWwwwwEeeeeT gIRL =)

  • I love your video, I honestly didnt think I would gain much info on the video but you've totally inspired me to get organized! THANKS!

  • @Morganeezy you are very welcome! i am glad that i was able to help! thank you for watching!

  • @RandomBeautii thank you so so much! i hope you have a great semester! : )

  • Do you take your binder to class with you? Or do you just take a notebook to take notes with.

Also do you bring your textbooks to class with you, or just read them before the class and then leave it at home?

  • @ForeverTrueLove49 yep! i always take my binders with me! sometimes i don't need them, but if i receive a handout or something i like to go ahead and put it in the binder so i don't lose it! it also has past notes that sometimes i need to look back on in class! i also always bring my textbooks! even though it's a pain.. haha but you never know when you might receive an assignment or need to refer to something out of the book! i might do a "what's in my backpack video" soon! hope this helps! : )

  • I absolutely love the way you organize your binders. They're so organized and cute and colorful at the same time! I'm definitely going to redo my binders next time I'm home to have them set up this way :)

  • @CollegeGlamoration aww, thank you very much! this comment means so much to me! i'm so glad you liked this method! i hope it works well for you and you are having a great semester so far! : )

  • @daceycouture You're very welcome!! :) and thanks! my semester's going great so far, I hope yours is too! :)

  • omg THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH DACEY!!

  • @oohiitscourt no problem girl! i hope this video helps! : )

  • Thank you for re-doing this. I used this tip when school started on the 18th. i love this idea so much. I even noticed a week later a few classmates decided to do the same.

it's kept me so organized and so happy i don't have any loose papers. I couldn't stand those loose papers! :)

  • @jenholl1 no problem! really? that is so awesome! i am so glad you were able to use my idea and it worked for you! i hope that you have a great semester! thank you so much for watching and leaving me this lovely comment! i really appreciate it!
