  • I mean if u can't pull up by just using your power band u need to invest in a new bike haha

  • I don't pop my clutch at all untill I get into like 5th gear when I'm trying to pull up on the kx 125 or the cr 80

  • It's all good until you fuck around and powerband drops you on your buttcheeks.

  • i wish someone made some throw back graphics for these new bikes. i would rock some neon pink, green and blue oem graphics

  • im unsure how to use the clutch on a wheelie i got a Suzuki 450 rm-z. i do wheelies without the clutch. so much easier, just give it gas and go=D

  • @SuperDreamyy pull the clutch in with one finger, rev the engine, release the clutch. Simple as that. Do everything with some feeling

  • ive got a 2006 yz 125 and im not very good at wheelieing, granite im 5'7 and weigh 250 lbs lol. the only way im good at wheelieing is like 5th gear full throttle. but my bike has a bunch of shit done to it, hot rods piston, hot rods crank, vforce3 reed valves, bigger jets, 12 tooth sprocket in the front, 48 in the back, renthal hanlde bars, and a mukeni carborator. i got my bike dynoed and its pushin a whopping 42 and a half horsepower lol. its nothin special, but it rips.

  • This is a very nice video, explains it very well, I'm currently having problems wheelieng my bike, can lift it a little bit but then it drops, this might just help me to do it better, i will defnitely add this video to my favourites and go back to it then to see what I'm doing right or what am i doing wrong. Thank you very much for the upload.

  • @QuintinBiker consistency is key... do not use the clutch, just asking for problems. when the bike starts to come up keep the throttle at the same place briefly, then back it down just a bit whilst leaning forward... you'll get it.

  • I could do this yeah, on a kids bike from the age of 2 with no engine on it!

  • Hey could someone help me i just got my bike and i have all the gears down and the cllutch but for the wheelie i am confuzed on how to start it? Like how do you get your bike to pop up?

    -Thanks

  • @SpeedyFox101 well i have a shit 150 four stroke honda and i just dump the clutch in first gear at a dead stop. what size bike do u have and is it a four or two stroke?

  • applying the rear brake also slightly compresses the rear suspension. As the rear suspension reboungs, it helps to lift the front wheel.

  • wow this is probably the best instructional ive ever seen. This guy knows exactly what he is talking about and explaining it very well. Rare......

  • do u let the clutch out quarter to halfway out then drop it or do u let it out at a fast speed or do you pop the clutch and how mutch gas?

  • im 5'4 im am kinda short fot a 13 yr old but my normal bike it a 110cc kawasaki and ive grown outa that so im gonna be gettin a 150cc honda racing bike or trail. probly the trail cause its not as mutch money as the reacing bike.

  • lol i dont really need this lol. i got a 500 ft weelie without touching down its pretty easy and im only 13 lol

  • @ipokeyou1 yeah I bet you did ;)

  • @MrRubixBunny really did it takes practice but it was on my friends little brothers honda 50 cc, i dint do it with my dirtbike. i recorded a 100 ft one with my phone but im not a techie so idk how to put it up on youtube through my phone.

  • @ipokeyou1 fair enough then, but you must be pretty small (even for a 13 year old) to do a 500ft wheelie on a 50cc, sounds weird to me

  • Thanks, learned something about this =)

  • Ha! At 0:58, that's my bike! :D

  • hi bro.my name holili from indonesia,i hav F1ZR for me to learned wheelie like you did..but you do is very good,.I must study hard to become just like you... sory my english is bad...thaks bro........lili jaya motor

  • @MyHolili your english was understandable, don't worry about it so much. motorcycle news does a great job explaining street bike technique and ways to practice. search "how to wheelie". 3rd video from the top. title of the video is "MCN's guide to Wheelies". look at that video, much more helpful to your situation. It's hard to slow wheelie such a big bike. ride safe and have fun!

  • dang how old is this video

  • @dbrider797 probably like 10-15yrs-ish i guess, the kawi looks like a 90's model

  • thanks

  • 24 people diden't have thier foot in the rearbrake :-P LOL

  • what gear should i use (i have a 2004 yamaha yz85)

  • @foxlyen second seems like your best option but if you are really small then first would be better

  • @PS3NitroLambo im a round 1,70m high what du you recomand?

  • @foxlyen second is the optimum gear for wheelies 90% of the time so i would try that before anything else

  • Great vid..i have a rm 85..kinda hard with a powerband. I personally think the sit down wheelie is a lot eaiser. But thats me

  • thanx for the vid. really helpful!

  • the narrator sounds like the guy from Will it Blend?

  • i need help...i have a 2004 yamaha yz 125,i am not tall enough (i am 15) to reach the ground and i don't feel very comfortable in pulling it up since i don't have full control and i also feel that it can't wheelie without going fast because it is always spining till the 3rd gear.any anwsers in my problems are acceptable...thank you.

  • @fx125mariosyz125 Grow a pair! Haha, kidding. If you race, don't worry about it, just go ahead and let it do its thing. Wheelies happen all the time in motocross races and you don't even notice them about 80% of the time, if you stay confident and looking ahead you'll be fine. Another trick is if you feel the front start to lighten up, move your weight foreward a little.

  • @fx125mariosyz125

Heres the best and worst part of riding. You cant really have anyone teach you, you gotta figure it out. Just remember not to push yourself too far, its very dangerous and you are too young to be paralyzed..

HERES MY ONLY TIP! SIT ON THE SEAT, ONCE YOUR READY, GET YOUR BODY IN A STANDING POSITION AND PULL ON THE HANDLE BARS WHILE GASSING IT! THIS WILL GIVE YOU A FEEL OF HOW TO CONTROL YOUR HANDLEBARS, ITS VERY IMPORTANT. POP IT UP, LET IT DOWN, THEN YOULL START TO GET IT :)

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Makes total sence to me..Physics are in order..good place to start. ';-)

  • 23 people just cant wheelie try a stoppie or a nose wheelie perhaps then...lolol

  • @kxmade not funny at all.

  • @kxmade honestly that joke just bores me ..... not funny

  • Great video and to all the people who dislike it dont watch it

he shows everything u need to know about doing a wheelie

  • lol hahahaha i broke my arm and saw this vid and well i got it

  • This guy makes it look simple

  • i got a honda crf 150f and its hard to get the front end up but when i get it up it is easy to ride i love to RIDE

  • thk

  • 22 that disliked this video are injured right now lol

  • @nickt916 lmaoooo

  • @nickt916 haha

  • @nickt916 yeah, including you.

  • these dickeds who dislike, wtf do u watch this video for? This video tells you all the things you need to know

  • 22 people didn't have their foot on the rear brake :D

  • @150rboy not on a kdx

  • 1:58 THATS WHAT SHE SAID...

  • i now how to life the bike of the ground i got a ktm 65 i`m 10 when i lift it but after that it comes straight down how do you hold is while the front ends up?

  • 22 people saw this AFTER they broke their arm trying to do a wheelie :P

  • @berett315 Including me ouch!

  • @berett315 just got the cast off my leg from doing this

  • @berett315 I broke my collar bone.. close enough right (:

  • thank you... (: now i know how to do wheelies.. w/o this vid i couldn't have mastered it (:

  • fuck it pin it!!!!

  • this shyt is hard

  • i can't keep the front wheel down on my 250 lol

  • While popping the clutch Put Pressure on The Rear Brake !

While the bike is going up apply a little more Pressure!

If it comes up TOO high appy MORE Brake Pressure!

Coast the bike dont accelate when you pop it up and take your time but dont be a Pu#@y with it !!!!! You will be Ripping that plate of the back in no time!!!!

  • I have a ttr-125L and it does wheelies easy in 1st and 2nd.

  • Do u think I could wheelie my kxl 110 and it has a cluch and it is a twenty ten

  • @rcjunky53654 ya you can def get that up on one wheel

  • man you dnt need the CLUTCH for a wheelie i alwayz just give it gas and it pops right up lol,. trying to make it harder than it seems lol

  • Very good video, Thanks!

  • well im buying a kx 125 wuld it be easier to do on a bigger bike?

  • @wowguy217 125's are not to good to do wheelies on because they dont have much torke. 250 is way better for wheelies,

  • try to bring it up in 2nd it lowers the power

  • i try doing this on my 2 stroke 85 and it revs too high in first and just wants to launch me on my ass.. wtf do i do to keep it up?

  • LOL take ur time and go get it!

  • i just got my 2stroke rm125 and i cant get the front up no matter how hard i try any tips and is it harder or eisyer or harder on concrete and tar than it is in a feild?

  • @MichaelsRM125

Sit far back , pop the clutch let her roll...

  • i am good at sit down wheelies but struggle to hold it up on stand up wheelies any tips on stand up wheelies and going slower on the sit down as i find my self flat out in the air to quick on my rmz and the same on my old ktm 525 sx see my videos on my u tube page

  • any tips for a front heavy bike (ttr125?)

  • @XxmonstahobgobxX place your weight further back on the seat maybe?

  • @mckyvr Im almost sitting on the fender

  • @mckyvr i mean i can get a wheelie i just cant maintain it

  • @XxmonstahobgobxX

    yeah get a different bike .. a 2 stroke

  • i can only wheelie fast on my rm125. For me to do standing wheelies and hold them i need to start in atleast 3rd gear, i start in 2nd or 1st gear on sitdown wheelies and always fimnd myself in 3rd or 4th gear when i put it down

  • @littlman284 whats happening i know whats the problem i had the same problem your just not reaching your balence point so whats happening is your going faster to kepp the front end up try going a little father back and youll be able to do it no problem ;)

  • definately one of the best wheelie videos out there. anyone know the song? thanks for the tip to let out some tire pressure by the way! works like a charm. my advice is try wheelies going up a hill. its much easier for me anyway. let me know if it helps.

  • @theHansinator the song i think is from Robert Miles

  • @edyeti Robert miles children best trance song there is!

  • thanks

  • his tire is low on air

  • Comment removed

  • @motoxrider115 the tire pressure is low on purpose, its a lot easier to balance

  • nice KDX

  • excellent vid. thank you

  • i dont get the idea of using the clutch in the wheelie? besides getting it up. and is this video showing him popping the clutch?

  • You don't find how to videos of this quality often (anymore?)

  • this helped me so much in the whoops

  • I missed my back break doin about 60kph haha gravel for 50 metres not exactly fun.!

  • i love when i dont tap the back break , i slide on gravel for 20 metres

  • @jooy20 haha did that last week

  • Is it very difficult to do a wheelie on a scooter? Is it harder if the scooter is heavy?

  • Thanks

  • what is he saying at 2:42 to tint .. ?? dint understand the meaning of the word someone can help? pls its becaus u to ????

  • @asildhgioshdgioashdi tense... the word is tense, means your body is clenching its muscles or flexing your muscles. You need to relax.

  • @jakeshist oh okay thank u ;-))))

  • hey whats the song name at the beginning of the vid??

  • This is the best explanational video on youtube at the moment i think, its great, im still practising i can only get it up for short bursts i find i go to far back or not enough, its finding the fine line i think, Thanks for this video, what is the song please? Joe.

  • Is that a KX125 hes riding? if so thats what i have!:)

  • @blinkacoustic no it's KX 250 and thats what i have! :)

  • I cant even pop it up its a 200cc ktm! ive tried different clutch techniques and and pulled up on the handlebars as hard as i can! could it be that my rear shock is to soft? its adjusted to the softest it can get right now!

  • 2 stroke are best for it cos of the lightest and the powerband

  • thanks!!

  • it has ABSOLUTLY nothing to do with 2 -4 strokes ,it has to do with practice and the rear brake

  • I kno bout 2 to techniques on wheelies

    1. Grab in the clutch, pull back on the throttle bout 60% and let the clutch go.,

    2. While ur givin on the gas u slip the clutch

Which is the better way?? (i have a rm 85)

  • @nysk8r247 neither, juat lean back and let the power band take you

  • Hey thanks man good video, I've just started practicing slow wheelies and I think your spot on....I'll try this technique,,,thanks again.

  • what does loft mean

  • dude this guy is such a poser this is a video by gary bailey its just a mmovie . wow what a dick

  • Basically grow some balls. But it definitely pays off to learn!

  • You'r right jdscvjdvshjdjlh, Two strokes are much easier to do a wheelie cos they have the quicker power delivery than four strokes!! Basics...

  • thank you

  • cool thanks

  • nice video ..

  • Great video!! all i need now is a rear brake ;)

  • mmm my friend is telling me the wrong things so ill try this

  • i think 2 strokes r easeir to ride a wheelie on cuz all u got to do is hit the gas pull up and lean back and use throttle control and brake control

  • This is a good video. My advice would be to take off the rear fender before you start trying wheelies.

  • i cant tell u that this is the best "how to" wheelie video on the whole youtube.... Expertvillage....:EAT SHIT!

  • what is this video from?

  • doesnt using the clutch though hurt ur engine?

  • @deerhunter12345698 Nup, puts a bit of pressure on your clutch, but MC clutches, especially in trail bikes are built to take heavy abuse.

  • after a day out too many wheelies makes my chain loose, theyre fun but u need to tighten the chain often,

  • Okay so when i try to do the stand up wheelie i cant get the bike high enough but when i pull harder it feels lyk im goin to fall over. Can any1 help me?? Btw im doin it without the clutch)

  • use the clutch.

  • here is what you need to do...keep your right foot right over top of the rear break. Just give it more power and your front will come up more. You will feel when it gets into a good balance point...its pretty high up. if you think you are going to go over the back tap that rear break...it will bring you right back down. if you remember the rear break you can push it pretty hard and find that balance point. the key here is to remember the break, because it will save you

  • I can't do a stand up but I can do a sit down wheelie.

  • if i try to either stand up or sit down and lay my foot over the brake, i automaticly push down the brake, i cant just lay my foot over the brake and brake when i need to, i cant get my feet horizontal enough.

does anyone know what to do??

  • @k0ent adjust your brake pedal a little so its further down.

  • bend your knees

  • This video landed me in Jail!!!!!! Gotta luv it!!!!! Next time im going for three exit's on the Highway.......

  • @krom650 thats awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • @krom650 no way me too twice< 2 days each time on supermoto. judge crucifide me like i killed someone, but wat u mean three exits on highway?

  • @DecaPierce I use every exit i pass on the back wheel to gauge how far im going!!! I was pulled over and areested after the second exit .... My passenger had to find a way to get my bike off the highway and she cant ride

  • @krom650 haha i thought you were kidding at first! thats sick

  • thats sum awsome skwl but what if u hav a 60 3 speed manual should u still keep it in gear 1 or 2 or 3

  • Ive been trying on my RMZ 450, The bike power wheelies all day in any gear. Im no good at stand ups, but I have no tread so I only can on Cement! I clutch it up in 2nd gear, I just have a hard time finding my balance point. Any tips?

  • Try it on 3rd gear man.I think you are doing some mistakes in popping clutch

  • @perry3044 if you do it in first it will give you more time to react if you start coming down or falling back. I'm no expert though. I struggle a lot with the same thing. I guess I just need to practice a LOT!

  • Comment removed

  • @199suzukibeast of course. but if you cant answer that question yourself, you shouldnt be attempting a wheelie.

  • lmao! exactly what i was thinking

  • i have a rmz 250f and i use the clutch but i was wondering with a bike with that much power if you had to

  • very nice

  • Great explanation. Gotta love the rear brake when your doing wheelies.

  • Getting the front end up is only half the battle. Its not that hard. The hard part it keeping the front end up and having the bike not over rotate. Thats the hard part. Good instructional video. Everything discribed can an should be used in all types of riding. recreational, Mx, and Desert.

  • even though its looks & sounds preety old, prob one of the best how-to wheelie vids on youtube

  • thanks man this helped me learn to do wheelies on my cr 250.

  • I won't even try to get on the motorbike... good info.

  • chat shit !

  • sharpshot21 - seems the words "my dad works in a bike shop" and "you're probably some little kid" - dont fit ur argument - you are a kid, or else YOU not your old man would be in the bike shop!

  • I thinks its harder on a 2 stroke then a 4 stroke, i dont why.

  • because of the crazy unpredictable powerband - harder to control.

  • lol a 250 2 stroke is unpredictable??

  • like 1mm of throttle can mean the difference between shit-scary power band and lack of power. Imagine hitting power band when your not expecting it, and your on 1 wheel. Also theyr much lighter than 4 strokes, which i would assume means that ur body weight plays a larger role in balancing the thing. To be honest, i dont really know what im talking about, and if you disagree, im not gonna fight the issue to the end - just say why and teach us all something new.

  • your pretty much a dick head he says clearly he doesnt know that much about this topic sooo go shove another penis up your ass

  • You say he hasn't spent much time on bikes? You say a 450 is 6 more pounds that a 2t 250? You're an idiot, 250s are way lighter than 450s.

  • Fuck you man he said he didnt know what hes talking about and no thats not true my dad works at a motorcycle shop its a lot more then six pounds and its a lot about throttle control. youre probably some little kid trying to act like a big grown up you need to learn at least "half" before you talk about it. "DUDE"

  • Lol, because your dad works in a bik
