Applaus?
Was für `ne Message sollte denn jetzt eigentlich `rüberkommen?
Is there anybody who can show the complete final szene? The reaction of the public is impressing. Jenny bows for the old lady although she refused this before.

This is for ckrugberg - The topic of the movie is not about the war. The topic is ones inability to like oneself due to things done to them or as a result of their own choices. It is appropriate for the age of the piano teacher that she regrets a war experience and that it affects her all her life. So, in the real sense of the movie, there is no reason for your mature remark of "get over it".

This clip needs another 30 seconds to hear the standing ovation the audience gives her. PS: don't you love the light hearted topics the Germans choose for their movies - The War - get over it ! Otherwise, a great movie.
It's convincing but I doubt it, I watched it last night and when she plays her "Negro Song" it doesn't look like she can actually play it at all; then again can't know for sure - She puts alot of emotion into it though :D
@FabeleuxAmelie I played this scene over immediately, it was that powerful. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this film. I'm sending this clip to all my friends.

This was pretty much the ending of the movie when chick just went with passion and rage rather than what she was supposed to play. Veir Minuten = Four Minutes. All german with english subtitles. Definately worth the watch.
it's called Black Music n_n ....you must see "vier Minuten" (Four Minutes) It's a german film about an extaordinary and talented (but also a killer) woman... sorry for my horrible English ._.
Punk Rock Piano...In the 1800's there was a Harpsichordist who made a mistake during his performance. He demolished it before the audience. His patron urged him to do it again, because the audience was quite entertained. Nothing new under the sun, The Who weren't the first. Now she is the solo Das Wer!
I do not remember. It was some time ago when I heard it on the radio. The announcer was discussing passion among composers in the classical era. The harpsichordist made a mistake during his performance and went postal and destroyed the instrument. His patron encouraged it, as the people were entertained by it. So, The Who did nothing new. Another story was a soprano was making a composer's aria sound bad during a practice session and the composer almost strangled her to death.

It is actually impossible to play it like she does in the movie as you can hear that she keeps playing a two hand rythmh with one hand, the other reaching the strings
But still, great demonstration of piano technique and beautiful masterpiece, congratz to people who can play this, i'm going back to study the music sheet ^^

Hahaha. I said "sort of a percussion instrument" to avoid people like you, no offense. There is a lot of discussion (controversy is the wrong word here) over how the piano is both a string and percussion instrument. So i didn't want to take one side and people go "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH" on me.
It's a percussion instrument because it strikes the strings, but at the same time, it's a string instrument because of the strings inside the piano. Funky, eh?

It's the last scene from "Vier Minuten" (Four Minutes). Her name is Hannah Herzsprung, and she's an actress. The movie is OK, and the music is great.

I used to proudly improvise in the piano like this but when I saw the movie I felt like I had done nothing! haha
if I find a girl that can play like that, with such a strenght and innovation, I swear I marry her!

I think this is called string piano playing, because she was fooling around with the strings. It's BEAUTIFUL.

The piano IS sort of a percussion instrument...

Piano is not SORT of percussion instruments... IT IS a percussion instrument
DaremoS 2 years ago
Funky, eh?
No hard feelings. <3

I answer that... indeed is a string/percussion instrument... to make react people like you.
;) ;) ;)
and it works... no hard feelings either <3
.
BTW... I am absolutely entranced by the playing of this theme really played by Kae Shirati. entitled Jennys Abschlusskonzert
