Is Sega Master same as Game Gear?

@TwilightFire Sort of. Master system was the console released in 1987 or around there before Genesis.

Gamegear was the handheld with about the same hardware as the Master system. It was 8 bit as well and could run master system games. It had some original games for it and some master system games were re-released for it with enlarged graphics for viewing on a portable screen.

LOL! I just bought this game on ebay (won the auction yesterday) and I wanted to check out some game play footage... It's the same as Alien 3 on the GameGear!

Seriously, Pixel for Pixel, the same game... At least on the Master System I'll get to play this game on my TV instead of that dodgy handheld.

I always felt this one was rather under-rated. Granted that it is a major graphical step-down from the 16-bit versions (what did the reviewers expect?) but those are still pretty damn good for 8-bit graphics - especially the omnidirectional parallax scrolling and the way that your field of vision is limited in the tunnels (a very atmospheric effect, and conspicuously not in the Genesis version, thus showing creativity as well as necessary compromise).

O ultimo chefe, voçê tem que atirar nele somente a hora que ele cai, ele fica o tempo todo pulando, quando ele cair vc atira.O antepenúltimo chefe, vc somente pode atirar com a metralhadora, as outras armas não funcionam.

I think the Mega Drive version is the best. Master System is passable while the NES is an abomination. The NES has bad graphics, suicidal music and depressing death scenes. But good play.

The problem is the Guardians, you can waste all your ammo in one and die, and come back to the level without any ammo so you're dead at that point.

And they seem to take a huge amount of damage, and in the Game Gear version I would come back and hit them somehow and kill them rapidly.

Cheap programming in my opinion. They should have had the MS's limitations in mind.

graphically, this game owned, gameplay was DEFINITELY there for a master system game. interestingly, the music was designed by Matt Furniss, who did music for so many games, including ones for the Acorn Archimedes, like Mad professor mariati

Cool :) Played (and still got) the MegaDrive version but never until now seen the Master System version and i,m impressed! also liked the SNES version so if you get the chance to try it out paul give it a go!
