my father also loved this song very much and he listened to it in his last days without fear of death and complete objectivity, often humming along. Though i like the lyrics & the song rendition, it carries added significance due to my father's belief in it.
A combination of excellent lyrics, composition & singer the truth of life I have been listening to this qawwali from my childhood coz my father used to like it alot and it is my most liked qawwali........ THANK YOU AZIZ NAZAN....... GOD BLESS YOU WHERE EVER YOU ARE.......
Some of the brilliant music / songs that have shaped our society. People don't even realise. We need to popularise them once again. Thank you for posting it.
never heard such a meaningful qawwali as yet...the lyricist actually defines you, what life actually is...he has describe it the whole essence in this 10 mins qawwali. very few of us know abt this reality. thanks for this nice upload.
This is the true part of life & nothing is like gegative energy. Think about the people around you & about their past & present. This song is an example of real life.
It's amusing how the same man also sang Jhoom Barabar Jhoom sharabi promoting alcoholism and defying all social norms of good conduct. I hope this one came after it 'cos it's beautiful and would be good to know this song is a lesson he himself learnt.
@whotube88 Many times references to alcohol in Sufi music means attaining spiritual knowledge. Sufi poetry is very subtle, and even scholars translate Sufi poetry incorrectly.
You don't seem to be in the know. In Islamic parlance, reference to anything, or any connotation to alcohol is prohibited, unless the implication is outwardly negative. There isn't much scholars have to interpret in it, it's very obvious and explicit wherever it is mentioned in the scriptures. Sufism of this sort is deviance. True sufism doesn't involve music, drugs and dance. This is like Eastern Rock n Rolla.
@whotube88 by your definition no one is a sufi. Sufi is someone who sings for himself... your thoughts are not going to disturb his connection with god toh agar tumhe koi cheez pasand nahi aa rahi hai toh zabardasti usse sunke apne aapko disturb mat karo... eastern rock and rolla connects me to god, can you stop being a dick about it
Oh the irony, you're pathetic. Sufism are one of the few peaceful groups in Islam, they use music and dance for worship; quit denying it. Just because you're a dumbass doesn't mean we are too you stupid Wahabi.

We had few decent ghazal singers in our locality in hyderabad. During ganesh festive season that used to last 11 days we used to have this bhajan nights, this song used to be the toast of all the audience. Gosh love those days.
Awesome , nothing less , whether the singer is Pakistani or Indian , he simply understand the eternal truth , the more you listen this , the more you get attracted , I am short of words to equate this song.
the song is hypocritical, its like a singer jus trying 2 depress the listner. if he belivies in khuda he has to believe in heaven n hell ,.. then its not all meaningless.
most people who understand things about the universe love the feeling its amazing nothing 2 cry about in that,..
“Chadta sooraj dheere dheere” sung by “Aziz Nazan” is so close to the realities of life which we all so unknowingly ignore. We value the materials which dont really matter and sway away from the eternal truth that no one has ever come alive out of this life.
I wish every body specially persons with body consciousness do listen and understand this qawwali and do prepare for the final destination.and remember HIM and not get carried away with the false luster of this mortal world.
If I am not mistaken, Aziz Nazan sang this in early 80s, I have that album on tape, but this does not match with a lot of instrumentals from original. Who created these differences between men and men... we should kill them all ..not kill ourselves ...WE must live enjoy and be happy !!
