Northug is the best skier in the world right now, can't argue with that. As a team, the Swedes have the edge though, as they proved in the olympics.

I am a swede and most people in sweden that have a brain and know something about xc skiing will admit that petter is the strongest skier in the world right now. I think he is great, even though i think that the races today fits him extremely well.

But the fact is:

He can win in sprint & 50K. Both styles.

Right now, sweden and norway dominates xc skiing. And since i like norway as well as sweden i think thats great!

Great athletes are great to watch. No matter where they are from.

It is no wonder that such an athlete who has won so much, and have trained hard for the Olympics are really disappointed when he did not win and when a saucy Swedish destroys his stick - it is no wonder that he doesn't want to talk to the press then. Much better that he waits until he can say the right words, in there to shout out something silly that the press will love. It is ridiculous! He is the world's best skier, but only a human being. REMEMBER IT

@TheMavenFrankeus Han är ingen diva alls. Northug är en helt annan person när han inte är i rampljuset, lugn och lite tillbakadragen. Anledningen till att han kommer med en del kaxiga uttalanden är enbart för att han vill sätta press på sig själv, så att han ska prestera bättre.
