the commodores were the best band ever! were lucky to have them music these days are all bout' money cars and girls, songs back then have meaning, im only 13 and i realize that!
i love this video. it is absolutely hilarious.this performance to me,portray's the great sense of humor of the commodores and how down to earth they are. very well done!!!luv to william, clyde and jd(a.k.a.,little rascal).peace!!!!!
But, in my opinion, that made music far better as it enhanced the sound and added another dimension to music and R&B as a whole. I personally prefer the Synth-80s sound over other decades.
I´m so happy to see all these good comments on you tube for this super-hot mega-track by the Como´s.Young or old out there have to understand that this was actually one of the "hot-shit"tracks of that time and it got oh so overlooked while it really was some hot pocket not only for the mighty Como´s as a legendary 70´s soul-funk-band,but also for a very challenging future to come for a new generation of black music whatsoever.Janet was peeping just around the corner,Knowathm´sayen¨?
wowt.....his is a throwback for REAL. My dad is a Commodores fan and he used to play this cassette all the time. I used to like the "rap" at the end....when I was 6 :)
Its about time that this video saw the light and day of youtube! I got this video taped from NY Hot Tracks, but the program failed to play the whole video!
funny, because i don't have the whole video either. I wish someone would post their video for the song "Solitaire" I have it but haven't transferred the video tape to dvd.
If you taped the videos from VH1 Classics, posting them up is a "youtube no no", unless they are the versions with the small logos on the corner right (see my Rose Royce videos). Youtube and Viacom pick that up quick and don't hesitate to yank it off the site.
Very swinging song. People loved it, then. Look also on my growing ´80´s music channel!!!!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I hate to say this, but 80´s absolutely destroyed music art...all those new synthesizers were everywhere!

Hot Tracks cut the video right after the JD Nicolas' rap.

I caught it after his rap on VH1 classics and after hearing it I am glad. His accent combined with rap is utterly gross.
