Yes Gasol, Bynum, and Odom are tall... that doesn't guarantee anything. The big men on the Celtics however are tougher/stronger. Gasol is not known as being a physical force or a strong defender. Perkins, Garnett, and Davis are.

No matter the size of the lakers there are unique matchups that each team exploits and Boston does have the personal (obviously since they beat Lebron, Wade and Howard).

To be fair, he didn't actually say he shouldn't take shots, he said if he does take shots, he should tell the rest of the team what he's doing so they can work hard to get rebounds and back him up if he misses. And that's something that really doesn't need to be communicated either, as help should be 2nd nature. But he had no choice but to force bad looks, nobody else was scoring with good ones, so he did what all great leaders do and put his team on his back when they were struggling. MJ would do the same thing, yet he never got the hate Kobe gets.

And again, you can't stick with the game plan when it's not working, so he like other great players (MJ, Magic, Bird) took the rock and tried to bail out his team. And of course Phil Jackson's the "true" leader, he's the head coach (really?). Kobe's tough on his teammates because he demands excellence, as Fish does from him. Criticism does inspire you, more so than empty praise. And game-wise you cannot deny his leadership. He moves the ball well and gets plenty of assists.

I tend to like Boston anyway, but I hate the Lakers. They're the Yankees of basketball. They're the Real Madrid of basketball. They're the... I dunno, I guess American football isn't as stacked as it used to be. But that's exactly it - they grab the best players out there, and get by on glitz and glamour. I don't even care about basketball in the least, except when it's the Pistons or occasionally the Celtics, but I really hate every super-stacked team who tries to buy titles.
