  • omg this is awesome you are so beautiful and your hair is just motivation for me and others on youtube great job kimmy :D

  • Kimmay, you smile with your eyes (Tara Banks term)...Hair is so beautiful! Thanks.

  • Wow it turned out with a very nice, natural fall. What's with all the thumbs down? Very pretty.

  • You whats so funny last year you said you wanted to be waist lentgh by sept. What happened? Why isnt it longer. Longhairdontcare has the best styles and hair length.

  • @lisaskiel If you followed her on twitter u would see that she is waist length now

  • VERY pretty.

  • youre truly an inspiration stay positive

  • I KEEP some satin pillow rollers. It's difficult 2find the bronzebrown ones & I've only known one other place 2find them (Goody quality AND in brown/black). Good2know that u now sell them.

  • You make me seriously want to go back to natural. I was natural for years but no hair dresser wanted to touch my hair because they'd complain it was too hard to work with. Eventually I got a perm after a few more years.

  • giiirrrrllll...u better work!!

  • after all you've taught me, i'm ready to go natural...AGAIN! lol. Too bad it took for me to get impatient, relax my hair, chop it off and bleach it (yeah, i completely went overboard) to see the right way to care for it

  • hi my name is angellina i just started and you have halped me go throw with it i love everything. i cant wait to see how my hair looks :}

  • Thats the beauty of natural hair, we can wear our hair in so many different styles, the possiblities are endless. It's like they think since you're natural, you have to only wear your hair in its kinky/curly state. What if we wore the same clothes and accesories without changing. Hair is just another accesory (an accessory that needs alot of TLC of course, think a family heirloom lol) I love your advice and your hair, Ms. Kim. Keep it coming.

  • That's my type of hair style :D

  • I meant Kim Coles* Dangit the auto correct!!!!! Lol!

  • Did you know Kim Comes from Living Single is endorsing (so to speak) or using your conditioner? Famous people is usin' to stuff! Do it girl!!!!! Because Lord knows I love love love it too!!!! Keep up the good work!

  • absolutely marvelous! Dorothy Dandridge would be proud!

  • WOW......waaay back in the day, I used to roll my hair just like this with pieces of brown paper bag (my grandma showed me that trick) :-)

  • So cute when you missed a roller. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes nearly walks out of the house looking like a bit of a loon from behind ;-) The finished style looks fantastic. Love the retro vibe.

  • love the music!

  • love the intro song!! :)

  • honestly i believe people around you tell you you are beautiful inside and out, well they are right. You do such an amazing job, and thank you once again for helping us newly naturals with your array of information :)

  • try curlformers kim

  • 1:37 most doll'd up makeup ive ever seen

  • ur eyes r so cute!! i luv them and im proud of u for really keepin the same pace of hair growth. u are very exemplar kimmay. ur hair is really shiny! :D i guess what im tryin to say is: I WANNA MEET U IN PERSON I LUV U N UR VIDEOS!! <3

  • I love that Carmen Jones look. Cuteness Kimmay!

  • Will you share your hair care regimen...if you have can you point me in that direction??

  • i love this video. i need to stop chopping my hair back to shoulder length. lol. my hair is extra thick and washing it was a nightmare before i found your video and saw how you do it. i still don't like doing it, but at least it is not nearly as time consuming and it actually gets CLEAN!!!

  • Sooooooooo glad I found this!!! I'm looking for a style for my brother's wedding.

  • I love these rollers when I wear my hair flat ironed. I use my Maxiglide and CHI to shraighten my hair.

  • Why when your hair grow longer and healthier....does styling gets harder? I have been doing twist than twist outs and that last for 2 to 3 weeks. I do not like to flat iron when it's hot out. I flat iron only for lenght/trim checks every 3 to 4 months. So I do coils or wash and go's. My hair loves water & oils. I only use natural products and my hair is 3C/passed BSL almost waistline. I like my hair free and hate ponytails or up do's. Any suggestions?

  • Congratulations on 60,000 Subscribers!! You are AWESOME Kimmy!!! Luv Your Channel! :) Keep up the great work!

  • the style was cute, but the strut at the end was my fav! u betta work;-p

  • I really need help! I am not sure if my frizzy hair is from split ends, or shorter strands :-( I don't want to do a big chop, I just can't. I'm already natural, it just have so much frizz,. Whats a girl to do? I've been trimming like every 3 weeks but not sure if that is the solution to my issue.

  • Hey Kimmay I just stumble upon your channel. Im so happy I found someone that knows a lot about afro texture hair. Nothing against anyone else but my hair is not thick so others regimen wasn't good for my hair because of the methods they were using. Im using your methods and my hair never look better. thank you! thank you!

  • @cuteone026

Awesom-O! Thanks for letting me know. :o)

  • you are just way too cute..and i love your hair! gorgeous!

  • hey Kimmay...im a new subscriber and i did get a chance to watch most of you vids..ive learned alot from you..just want to say thanks! i know uv been busy working on other projects, but on thing that i can agree on along with all ur other subscribers..."We Miss You" !!!! : )

  • I have a question. I cut my hair three weeks ago and find myself pretty much cowashing every other day. in your opinion do you think this will prevent my hair from growing?

  • aw it looks so good. I love it.

  • @PRETTYDIMPLES01

    Thank you, doll!

  • @sdolds1987 I know you didn't ask me but thought i can give you an answer. many natural ladies hair seems to be in layers for a while due to cutting the relaxer off whether you do the big chop or not the front will tend to look shorter when the relaxer is cut out leaving your new growth. so when you are rocking the twa as it grows out its layered in a since b/c the front no longer reached the back. so you may not have asked for a layered cut but we all end up with one. hope this helps

  • This is amazing....why was it in the rejected files? :)

  • Work it Kimmay!!!

  • its been amazing to see your hair growth!!! when i went natural i used to quote you like crazy ... i know kinda stalker-ish lol but there's a lot of taken from you and now my hair looks so good - straight, curly i love it anyhow!! its still healthy

  • girl im so proud of you... your hair looks great!

  • Do ur thang gurl!!! LOOKS AMAZING!!!

  • Congrats, lady!!!! keep up the great work!

  • This is what I love about natural hair. The styles are limitless. You can wear it straight, curly, kinky, braided, twisted, etc. Thanks for sharing this video even though you had it in your rejected file:)

  • you are too cute :)

  • @XxTruSelfxX

    Thanks! So are you. :o)

  • very nice

  • I love your hair!! althought I'm texlaxed I JUST LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS!!

  • Hi Kimmay. I'm sure you have posted this quite some time ago, so if so, could you please direct me as to which video to watch? I am trying to use the proper night time regime for my hair. I just feel like I'm doing something wrong. I'm new at this, so I understand that I am still learning what my hair likes, what works well, etc. I am still transitioning and have about 3-4 inches of relaxed hair at my ends. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Nice video keep um comin

  • We 34 year olds have to stick together!

So proud of you... My company will support your work whenever possible. We'll let you know when. Keeping being AMAZING!!!

  • Beautyful!!

  • Beautiful !!!!!

  • Your hair is gorgeous, you have done so well.

  • Ughh!! so how long exactly did it take for your hair to get this long! how many years!?!

  • super like!!!! you look super hott!!!!! gonna try this for myself

  • Aww, Kimmay...you look so youthful and pretty! My hair is growing thanks to your vids...it's not as long as yours, but hopefully one day it will be! Hopefully, I'll be as foxy and fabulous as you post 30!!! ;)

  • You look great in the outfit.

Sometimes people with medium density hair think you can't achieve certain styles. For me, my medium density hair looks like I have a lot of hair in it's natural state, but looks thinner straight. I went back and looked at almost all of our how to vids. :) It's not product info I need, but the kind of info you provide about hair care. Thx for info that I can use. It'ts been a great help in coming up with a routine for MY hair.

  • I'm in the "I can't see myself wearing my hair straight again"--in fact I have locs. However, I can't see myself getting mad at you for what you do with yours. When a person is satisfied with themselves they don't have time to worry about what someone else is doing.

  • @CherishMyDaughter

    I couldn't agree with you more. :o)

  • @CherishMyDaughter I don't understand why one would have to bring up people being mad at all. I don't even see it as a "haters are insecure" issue. I simply do not see any reason to be upset whatsoever about this. Its like someone being mad that I wear yellow shoes instead of blue shoes. I cannot comprehend.

  • @quitejaded That's exactly what i was thinking, like why would that even be an issue??

  • this is a great vid lol, i like the way you sashay at the end of the video! that was too cute.

  • Work it gurl!

  • Absolutely stunning!

  • Kimmay, can you create a video explaining what conditioners are for? From your PH balance video series, I understand that we need to 1. wash the hair (open the cuticle) and then 2. close the cuticle with a 4.5 PH leave-in conditioner, but what exactly are deep conditioners good for? What are we deep conditioning exactly? Should we use deep conditioners while the cuticle is closed? And do we really need to deep condition after every wash?

  • You go KIM!! You are most fabulous! I love to watch you enjoying your hair!

  • i'm confused did you flat iron again or is this an old vid

  • dang that is alot of hair!!!!!, almost looks like a weave! but us subbies know its not! incredible!

  • Aww :) Beautiful <3

  • HEY KIM! JUST LOVE YOUOUOU!!

HAVE A QUESTION- DO YOU THINK PRENATAL VITAMINS AND BIOTIN AIDS IN HAIR GROWTH?

  • loving it. and that red made that black pop...go girl

  • amazing

  • Wow your hair is growing

  • kim i love u, u r so COOOL BEANS AND RICE lol your my motivation to be eager to learn more about my hair and others textures like my hair. I hope to meet you one day.

  • I'm glad you chose to post this vd, your hair came out lovely.

  • Did you just "hair flip" me? Just kidding. Though I'm locked I love to see beautiful Black women with long, all-natural hair in all its forms. If you want to flat iron, go ahead, it's just fine because it's still ALL your hair and it is so pretty. I'm a silent subscriber and direct my loose natural friends to you for tips. I love your channel!

  • mmmmmmmmmmm sexy mama, nice catwalk .

  • Love it!!!!

  • I enjoyed this video and I thought your hair turned out pretty great!

  • love it!

  • Gorg! Thanks

  • Hi Kimmay! I'm glad you decided to take this out of the reject pile. Gorgeous hairstyle! Thanks for sharing!

  • I am glad to see that you made the recipe available on your home page. I cannot wait for your product line to come out.

  • I love ur channel, u are such a beautiful person!! What city do u live in if u don't mind me asking?

  • Kim this is a great video... I am not sure of the projects you are working on. But I with your style and creativity I would totally love to see you come out with a short how to style guide for different hair lengths. I find so many of the styles you where very cute however I probably have six more months to a year to achieve some of them.

  • not sure how I feel about the satin rollers, but I may give it a try on flat ironed hair..hard for me to stay away from water, being that I sweat from zumba class 3 times a week..

  • I reallly enjoy your videos!!! I'm a lifelong natural (I'm 36) and currently I have 16 year old locs. I love seeing sooooo many of us, Black women, learning to care and LOVE our natural hair! Keep up the good work! I know that I have a resource to use in the event I decide to cut my locs and become a loose-haired natural again! THANKS!

  • Quality over quantity. I would rather watch one quality video over 10 poor ones any day! I don't have time to watch a million vids everyday, so it's nice to be able to watch a few good quality videos when I have the time. Rock on chica!

  • You look absolutely DARLING in that top

  • I pray you'll be coming out with a product line that includes a shampoo, conditioner and maybe even some type of natural coloring. We need products we can really trust.

  • Kimmay, you are such a beautiful lady!

  • I saw your Tweet about your mention in the New York Times article. I had been following you on Twitter for over a year, and your Tweet was akin to seeing my first Unicorn. :P

Anyway, I the message at the end of the video, "Inspiration travels both ways, so my victories are also yours"--that touched me! I just sent you a recent message after reading the recent NYT article, mentioning AGAIN how I'm inspired by what you do. I know I'm one of your many, many fans who appreciate you, Kim.

  • I'm a new subscriber and I'm also at the beginning of my hair journey but what

I would love to know is, Do you have videos of when you had short hair? If so I think they can help me tremendously :) .

  • @kimmaytube WELL I CANT BELIEVE YOU'RE 34!!! YOU LOOK YOUNGER THAN ME & IM 25 LOL.. WHAT EVER YOU'RE DOING KEEP DOING IT BECAUSE YOU LOOK GREAT

  • reject..not even..inspirational for me to keep up with my hair...when I discovered you in 2009 I have continued to learn so much after so many failed attempts with my hair. I started focusing on length retention last September and now my hair is is collar bone length when stretched in m twists..keep up the good work.

  • you are hands down a beautiful woman, and i am proud of what you're doing. i stumbled upon your youtube Chanel today and i love your story, your hair, and just everything in general.

  • I noticed you didnt grab a wide tooth comb once the rollers came out, I'm giving the "no tool" approach a try!I haven't used a comb or brush (except for a small toothbrush) in 8 days! Thanks so much for the wonderful videos!

  • Can't wait for your products to become available...when will they?

  • love this vid! please dish on where to find those tunes. the music that you select for your high-quality videos really creates a great ambiant backdrop!

  • A BIG thank you for all that you do! I enjoy the quality of your videos and everything else!

  • LMBO @ "natural police". ^_^ They'll be alright because it's YOUR hair. Only YOU have to like it, not anyone else. People get on my dang nerves with that mess. :\

  • Just FIERCE!!!

  • luv it

  • How do u moisturize when your hair is straight? Mine always looks dry to me on the second or third day.

  • Lookin Good! I finally had a chance to watch it I was online when you uploaded it but it just would not load on my end. Anyway, your hair is the BOMB,COM Love it Great Vid! Not a REJECT?????? I tell you and I tell everyone your methods work. People ask me all the time how have I grown my hair longer than it has ever been in my life. Well, I say: Check out my girl Kimmay on "The YT". • I cant believe this video was in the rejected file. I loved it. Your work is always on point

  • in the last frames wen u strutted away u looked fierce and sexy...no homo lol

loved ur hair in this style :)

  • Congratulation Kim, I thank you when I started this journey I didn't know what I was doing. I watched so many different people on You Tube and gained lots of info. But you taught me about my hair . And that leave in of yours its like hair CRAKE my hair is unmanageable with it. Thank You

  • The video is fine, and I love the hair. Kim you and your husband are a dynamic couple. Do you guys have children? I love how you guys apparently support each other and how you are just growing. God Bless you..

  • It's funny that you wrote "natural police"! Iove your hair and vids...keep up the good work!

  • Hi Kim. Since you've started straightening your hair, do you find it easier to control it when it's in it's kinky state? Has it slightly loosened your natural curl pattern? And, have you seen any damage from the heat?

By the way, loving your working the runway walk.

  • Lookin' HOT Mamacita! I appreciate how informative and honest you are! It means so much in healthy hair growth! I'm one year natural this month and thanks to you, my hair is the healthiest it's ever been!!!

  • Thanks Kim ! I have been natural for 3 months. Everytime I watch one of your videos it reaffirms my decision to be natural. Continue to be an inspiration to all. Remember it's not what they call you, it's what you answer to.

  • KIM! I am just SOO envious and PROUD of you! I cant believe that your hair has grown 2.5 inches since February!! Keep it up. DO you go swimming? If so what do you do with your hair pre and post swimming? You are my hair role model and I hope one day I'll be blessed with hair like yours. Keep the videos coming! THANKS

  • Keep hating haters!! You look fab as usual. Some folks can't handle a woman with confidence who knows that she looks good.

  • WORK IT!!!!!!!

  • You look fantastic!!!!!!

  • Your channel is a gold mine of vital information on natural black hair. Thanks for quality effort. Peace

  • I love that Spanish look :) xxx

  • Lovely!!!!!!! xx :)

  • The reason you are so popular on youtube is your quality. you put quality into everything. I wish you had more time to make more videos, but at the same time, there are plenty of youtubers who put out plenty of videos and half of them are not worth watching. they aren't well edited, too long, scattered, not entertaining or informative etc. NONE of your videos are like that. thanks!

  • You are such an inspiration. I read your NYT article and loved it! You are amazing. :)

  • @damaatractiva1 I agree with you 100%. I appreciate Kim for taking a great deal of her time to do research and making sure she has factual evidence to back it up, and share her knowledge with everyone. Something she does not really have to do but does it anyway. There's nothing wrong with being proud of yourself and exude it. Why is that people can't allow their minds to expand pass that? I'm sorry if I sound "snooty" lol but the level of ignorance I see is really sad, not even funny at all.

  • @damaatractiva1

It's a catch-22 situation. We go on about the importance of showing confidence and yet when people are bold enough to do so we criticise. It's like a pretty girl saying she likes her looks; suddenly she's conceited. I say good for women that clearly have confidence and talents and flaunt it with modesty like Kim does. It should be an incentive for everyone else to carry suit not a deterrent.

  • i love your videos they are informative....thanks

  • Thank you Kim, thank you for the video addition and for your thoughtful words in the end of the video. THANK YOU SINCERELY AND WHOLE HEARTILY! Your the best!

  • Love the flower in your hair! Very pretty. My hair is your length and I love the bouncy curls as well. I love natural hair, its so versatile!

  • That. Is. All.

    Great job Kim.

  • Your hair looks great! Thanks for sharing.

  • Congrats Kimmay! Thanks for inspiring me to take charge of my own hair!

  • Thanks! Loving the videos!!! Very informative!

  • I loved the flower. I guess I need to go to your channel to find some accessories. Lol

  • Words can not explain my level of pride I have for you and your accomplishments.. I know you have so much more to show and am here for the support and ride.. :D Congrats! God could not have picked a better person to show us, teach us, encourage us and inspire us. Thank you!! Thank you!!!

  • How long did you leave the rollers in?

  • Kim,

Will you be attending the Million Queens expo in Miami in Sep?!? It's going to be fun!!!

  • i put wayyy too much oil in my natural hair while straightening it, (i refuse to wash it out,)and now its tough to comb through and stringy, i notice that there are little to no videos on this, and i have no idea what to do.

  • Thanks Kimmay,

Your an inspiration to me and many more. you great work and dedication is greatly appreciated

  • Loves it! I always tell people about u hopefully they have subscribed cause I'm glad to be in the number of SUPPORTIVE FANS :)!!! Congrats on it all!!!

  • If you ever straighten it again, you should consider pin curling it. I bet it would be very pretty. I would pin curl the sections as you straighten them. The residual heat might create a better hold.

I've been recommending your channel and lot lately. I hope they've stopped by.

  • All those annotations

.... girl you don't have to explain ish. We, your subscribers appreciate everything you do. Forget the "natural hair police."

    - Appreciated!

  • I love the walk at the end, go head now:)Your whole look from head to toe is just gorgeous:)

  • Congrats!

  • CUTE!

  • Love!

  • im a loyal subscriber and my only complain is that you don't upload enough honey.

  • @mbernardbz

Sorry you feel that way. :-( Youtube is great, but it's also a distraction. There is no way to accomplish all that I've set out to do with my company and personal life if I don't have balance.

So I post videos only when I have the time. And only quality vids.

I've got so many amazing things going on that I can't disclose. By year's end, it will all make sense.

I'm not sitting around twiddling my thumbs. lol. Hard at work on many projects! :-)

  • @kimmaytube Uhmmm...'by year's end, it will all make sense'....is someone expecting?

  • Thanks for t
