For me it goes, 10. Rango 9. We Need to Talk About Kevin 8. The Ides of March 7. Midnight in Paris 6. Moneyball 5. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo 4. The Descendants 3. Hugo 2. The Tree of Life 1. Drive But I still need to see The Artist, Shame, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
you actually have awesome opinions dude. i've never even thought to look into Attack the Block but based off the quality of your other selections i'm gonna have to look into it!
My Top 12 12. Captain America 11. Midnight in Paris 10. Super 8 9. Source Code 8. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows 7. Shame OR Warrior (pic your fav) 6. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 5. Rise of the Planet of the (Drive) Apes 4. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy 3. Hugo 2. Harry Potter 7 pt 2 1. DRIVE MUTHAFUCKA DRIVE!!!!! Those are my pics so shut the fuck up
My top ten, would've been, 1. war hors, 2. the help, 3. our idiot brother, 4. beastly, 5. rise of the planet of the apes, 6. kung fu panda 2, 7. rio, 8. paul, 9. hangover part 2, 10. we bought a zoo.
I love the list but, I haven't heard of any of them. My favorite movie this year, that won my heart, was Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Other than that, I will be watching Attack of the Block ASAP. =D Happy New Year.
Amazing list! As you went through, all of those movies were ones I've seen or really want to see. I was going to watch every movie on the list I hadn't seen UNTIL....Drive. I have never seen a try to hard hipster movie with worse dialogue and terrible character development as this one. I usually love Ryan, but this was a shit storm. I usually agree with you at least somewhat on films so I was disappointed that Drive was your best movie of 2011. :(
Hilarious and great picks man!!!! Thought the worst list was also great and this was even better. Anyway, great video and I will post my top 10 as a video response!
Others have said this, no doubt but I am actually shocked that Beginners wasn't in there. Especially since you raved about it, which I don't know why. I thought it was boring... that's not true, it was good but I watched it twice and couldn't fall in love with it. Why am I so heartless? Oh yeah, back to your video, um... Great list, good choices.
@StuffedBurritoEnt As for your #1, I like the film, I know many love it but I personally feel it's overrated. It's a good film but too stylish for it's own good. The main character was interesting at first then to me he got kind of creepy. Just awkwardly staring at his love interest all the time as if he were autistic or he eat some bad cheese, just didn't appeal to me but I did like the film. Ok, I've said too much. I'll go now.
Have you seen the original version of The girl with the Gragon Tattoo? After seeing the trailer it seems to me that they took a lot of the scenes from that movie in this one.
I Agree with all of those but I think you forgot THE movie of the year, the one that I think will change cinema history : MELANCHOLIA by lars von trier
I Agree with all of those but I think you forgot THE movie of the year, the one that I think will change cinema history : MELANCHOLIA by lars von trier
Here's my top 10 1. Drive 2. Warrior 3. 50/50 4. Source Code 5. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol 6. Moneyball 7. The Ides of March 8. Rise of the Planet of the Apes 9. X-Men: First Class 10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 I still need to see "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" though, doesn't come out until the 12th of January in Australia sadly... Great video.
I SEEN DRIVE AND i did not think it was that good it was mehh in my mind sorry dude but i really want to see 50/50 for sure .happy new year bro and ttyl
YES!!! Great list once again! Agreed with everything!!!! AWESOME!!!! And I LOVE Drive at No. 1. What ddi you think of Hobo with a Shotgun and Sherlock Holmes 2?
Drive was a little to artsy for me I still liked it and thought the acting, cinematography, and directing was good. But the amount of staring in the movie got kinda akward.
I have only seen one of the movies on this list and that is mainly because release dates in New Zealand suck. But my Personal Favorites include The Guard, The Fighter, Submarine, Harry Potter, Arrietty, True Grit and Midnight in Paris.
I would really recommend you to watch the original girl with the dragon tattoo and compare it with fincher's, up will be a bit disappointed of fincher...
I just watched "Attack the Block" and i do agree that that was one of the best movies of 2011 and one of the best alien movies i've seen in a while : )
I loved this list because I couldn't disagree with it whatsoever! Even though I haven't seen Shame yet... but when I do I'm sure I'm gonna like/love it. :D
i respect your opinion, but i dont like it,i feel you mocked michael bays work on transformers DOTM. i know i know, transformers ROTF sucked ass,but michael bay truly did make up for it in the 3rd installment.again this is an opinion as you stated and i am not here to start anything. total respect for you and i look forward to watching more videos.
Awesome list! I'm a new subscriber and I have to say, this is a very original and diverse list and you're very good at analyzing what makes these films great. I haven't seen The Skin I Live In, Warrior, Attack the Block, Shame, or Dragon Tattoo, but they're all in my watchlist. I'm particularly glad to see Drive and The Artist take the top spots like they did on my list. Kudos to you, sir! :)
@joker198511 Liking an "artsy" movie doesn't make you a pussy, you moron. If your perception on a "good" film is a "manly" film, then you're a dumb shit. Plain and simple. Kindly get out.

We match 2 for 10 (Drive and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) but I think mainly because the list is predominantly indie films rather than blockbusters and mainstream Hollywood films.
