But seriously, i started watching around last year, and then stopped. Dunno why, but i did. I finished it just now, great job! you covered everything anyone really cares about, and i commend thee!
I like spending like 30,000 gold on a Super ExtremlyPowerful weapon (forge silver sword and max everything). It's fun. And I use it if I want a weapon but it's not in stock at the time.
An absolutely great LP. You did an excellent job at summarizing the chapters so the viewers did not have to read the text while following your commentary. Also great job at keeping the spoilers on the down low. You had very strategic moves in every chapter of the game and stuck to it through the end. Congratulations!
I think twas an EXCELLENT let's play of the game and it gave me the idea of once I am able to make videos to MAYBE (in caps so anyone reading this will know i might not do it) try radiant dawn let's play so the people who keep wanting you to do it will have an alternitive LP to watch it. and lastly i have to say FIANALLY I WATCHED ALL OF THESE VIDEOS!!! WOOO!!!
Great Let's Play. I can tell you put a lot of patience into this project and I really respect you as a YouTube filmmaker. I can tell that both you and the viewers took a lot of patience to make/watch these videos but they did entertain.
Yeah. Slim. You shoulda listened to my earlier comment 'bout coins 'fore you made this. >_>
RD =/= PoR.
Hm. Also, there is no need to put weight lower since weight is a useless stat in this game by midgame...since the con stat is nonexistent and Strength determines if you can hold a weapon without losin' attack speed.
in the second game i used a bronze either dagger or knife idk cant remember but i gave it to sothe and he hit 20+every time and had like5 critial attacks
...I've never tried forging a bronze weapon. That actually sounds kinda stupid, to be honest. >_> I don't even remember havin' the option to forge bronze...
I thought bronze weapons had a natural property that just doesn't let them crit and its in their dang game data. Meh.
As "thekiller678" said in RD with a coin you can add bonuses to a weapon, BUT they aren't always random only certain weapons can get some boosts, I have no idea how this works but some weapons for me always can get the godess card (like +2 attack +15 hit and crit or somethign like that) while others cannot get that card.
I know the word is "reckon" but in the lingo of the South, they say it like "reckin'" And since Nephenee is a farmer girl, I tried going for it in that light. :P
Coins have nothing to do with weapon forging in this game but in the next game (RD) they can add random bonuses to certain stats to your forged weapon. Hope that helped.
I tend to use forged weapons a lot just to make slightly modified weapons (i.e. a steel sword with 1 less weight and 1 more attack power) because it can help a certain character catch up to others in terms of levels and stats.
Regardless, good tutorial on weapon forging. You forgot to mention what coins do as far as that goes but, again, no big deal.
So you're stopping here? ...Not even making just a measly 2 more videos...?
Okay, you have to give the person who will receive the weapon the coin, then the forge curator will ask if you want to use a coin. The coin gives an added bonus to anything like hit, might, etc. free of charge. But it is random.
I guess that's the end of another one of your great LPs... While I haven't made very many comments on your videos, I still found this a very interesting playthrough, especially since I have never played a Fire Emblem game before. In fact, I might just have to pick up a copy of Radiant Dawn and play that myself...
Also, 105% chance of hitting the enemy with the SlimKirby sword?
Well, that doesn't take into consideration of an enemy's avoid and speed rating, and whether or not you have the advantage or disadvantage in the weapon triangle. Since it takes all of those stats into consideration. I don't know the exact formula though.
i usually for most of the game i forge only iron weapons, cause a fully upgraded silver sword is serious overkill if you are using the best characters, plus it costs much more and has less uses.
What do coins do ?

I believe that having a coin in a unit's inventory will attract ravens to that unit.

I'm pretty sure you spelled reckoner wrong. It has an O, not an I.

I think that's only in Radiant Dawn. I tried using coins but nothing would happen or work.
SlimKirby 2 years ago
Maybe it has to be in your inventory? I've never forged in this game... I'd like to know actualy
FlloydOwnsAll 2 years ago
Well, considering Hero Coins can't be used at the forge, SM will have a tough time forging good weapons.

Zman0424 2 years ago
nothing. Just space fillers worth only 1 gold.
SlimKirby 2 years ago
Aren't they used in forging to give the weapon a random boost? I think you'll need it to be in the inventory on the person who's forging.
IcySeaSurfer 2 years ago
Well, I am pretty sure I tried doing that but nothing worked.
Meh, oh well.
