Sorry to be a wet blanket but.."Weres the Hi-Fiz an that" talking about health an safety..Aaaah fuck it...Up tha Irish..We built that fucking pox ridden city
i live in a small town in the west of ireland and a lot of retired irish have moved home now and every 1 of them tell me that the worst man u could work for was an irish subby, he treated his own like shit and a lot of subbys came from the south!! [munster]
Thank you for your reply b1gs1985, your info confirms what Ive learned recently that they were very probably from Cork, thank you for taking the time to reply to me.
Also learned they were Catholics but no big surprise there & always interested in more information, I believe the surname Foley is also in the same line
Haha, love this, as a proud Irish Londoner my self I know well I have those men to
thank for paving the way & making it a whole lot easier for "youths" like myself to emegrate here, big up Brixtan & Cead Mile Failte to any new arrivals "fresh off the boat" its a hard nut to crack, but London is worth cracking xXx
You've got to be proud of what you come from, and I'm proud to be 2nd generation Irish, Jeezs my dad worked on building sites all over London so this was fantastic to see...
Andy how the devil are ya? I'm long overdue a trip to Hayes...
As I say you can take out of Cricklewood but you'll never take Cricklewood out of the girl x
@MrCallumted go into google vidieos and type in the irishmen its a doc.. made in the 60s called an impression of exile...and this interview features in the doc
great vid, i worked and lived in camden town its changed so much nowadays, not so many irish around there anymore, how times change. im back in ireland now but got happy memories of the london/irish.
Agreed, the second and third generation Irish make up London's largest ethnic group! Many of the Irish born immigrants have moved out of Camden, Kilburn and Cricklewood or passed away but their decendents are still in London! Don't let the cockney accents deceive ya! ;)
Thanks mo chara! Yes we've played in Ireland from time to time, not as often as we'd like to though! We sometimes play in Mayo, near Westport and Mulranny!
who ever disliked this isnt irish

@lollie0608 That surname is mainly from the munster area so your family could be from cork or kerry.
