  • how did the CVs handle the welded diff? ive been told not to weld IRS diffs

  • can i ask u a question ? how did it feel when u drove the car like that ? like wut noise did it do ??

  • @gianvidal It would make those popping noises in corners - but I had a welded diff so the rear was under a lot more stress than normal.

  • Are you sure the nut is tightened all the way in? It should not move at all since the bottom collar should be holding the subframe up with the nut tightened. Only thing I can think of is either the nut is loose or the bottom collar broke.

  • So what caused this? Defective parts? Wrong setup? Just running it hard as shit? Please explain for the morons like me :)

  • @dtmbcorp The subframe bushings wear out through a normal life on 240's, obviously it happens quicker when running coilovers/bigger wheels/etc.

  • @blackmkiv Cool, thanks. So these were the original factory bushings?

  • @dtmbcorp Yeah, with the usual subframe collars installed. People think that the collars stop all movement... well, that's not true, if the whole stock bushing goes then the collars do nothing. Solid bushing is the only option.

  • is that a m5 in the background

  • Yes

  • i have the same problem like yours. Just bought bushing kit and collars for that sucker...

  • ouch that sucks, those are always a pain to fix, well the S14 240SX looks nice tho..

  • that must have sounded nice on bumps

  • quite the contrary, im sure.
