Yea when I went to china we went to Qingdao and then I found two starfish… one of which was beached and nearly dead. And those were just small tubes. We kept the star fish for a day and at night they opened their suckers and they were like one inch long.

998 if you search "sand sifting starfish" on here and click the first result there is a great video showing how the bottom of the starfish contains hundreds of little tiny suction cups that move the star across the ground. I have a starfish in a personal aquarium of mine, and they are capable of moving much faster then one would think.
