Yeah, why not... I buy that in my own house and has to pay for it? No, but I find that a great thing to buy, if I live in Japan's apartment building. I would place that next to the door, which leads out of the building, and every people who live in that building, can buy a cup of nuudles on their way somewhere. I collect the money in the end of the day, and refill the machine.

The reason it "looks" better is because the people behind this video know how to shoot a commercial (i.e. How to light a scene perfectly, use fake models of food, edit in effects...basically enhance the truth. Did you know that for those "butter on corn" commercials, the corn cob they show is fake, and is set up like a slow drip irrigation system?)

I must disagree. Having been born in Japan, I have eaten many Cup Noodles and the overall taste and look of the Japanese version is slightly different. The serving size is the same, but the size of the innards seem slightly bigger.

I disagree! have you ever bought one of theses Cup-noodle from Japan or a Japanese grocery store? It may have the same name & packaging but the quality is much different. In Japan these things are about $2(assuming $1=Y90). In the US you can get one for $0.70 or so..

In terms of what is different.. they got dehydrated egg in there.. you get about 2x 3x more veg. stuff in there.. The meat actually looks like meat instead of 4 mm cubes.

It's a bad design, because:

* the system is too small to hold a decent amount or variety of cup noodle

*The system is so small that someone could easily unplug and steal it.

*It requires someone to do more than one step to do what other vending machines can do (Other machines can cook your food for you)

*The water that is heated up and used to "prepare" the noodles comes from a reservoir that has to be refilled constantly. It should allow for a user to connect the device to the building's water supply (like coffee machines, which have been around FOR DECADES).
