Hello Michael, I saw a link to your site off of a brochure of Robert Robinsons, Certified Advance Rolfing Practitioner here in Sacramento. i have taken workshops from him and i find this type of work to be one of the best. I didnt realize approx 10 sessions were recommended. I was wondering if spot treatments would do any good and would work as well. Wonderful videos you offer.
Rolfing was designed by Dr. Rolf to be a 10 session process. The series of sessions done in a specific way is what facilitates the Structural Integration process and makes it "Rolfing".. Spot work by a Rolfer can be helpful but it is not really the Rolfing process. Rolfing Structural Integration has such a great record for making LASTING changes in the body because it is holistic. The whole body approach is fundamental.
My experience is that if the disc issues are compressional, that the Rplf Method of Structural Integration is quite effective as it works to balance and normalize the fascia tissue which supports the vertebrae and discs.
Straightening of the lumbar lordosis, L 4 L5 shows shallow disc bulging , Loss of water content of L 5 S 1 disc , which also shows a shallow broad based protrusion in contact with the dural sac and slight encroachment of the Neural foramina bilateral
Straightening of the lumbar Lordosis, L4 L5 shows shallow disc bulging, L5 S1 shows a loss of water content and a shallow broad based Bilateral Protrusion in contact with the dural sac with a slight encroachment into the Nueral foramina
It looks good. I should check out if there is a facility here in Los Angeles. My problem is tightness in the cervical area and pain in the lumbar region.

My Lumbar MRI says =
Straightening of the lumbar lordosis, L 4 L5 shows shallow disc bulging , Loss of water content of L 5 S 1 disc , which also shows a shallow broad based protrusion in contact with the dural sac and slight encroachment of the Neural foramina bilateral
this has caused pain in my legs for 12 years
