  • I think Intermediate would have been more accurate, or, Definitely not for beginners. Or even, Really F'ing hard for beginners. Is a beginner really ready to start tuning down? they're probably having enough trouble with standard tuning.

Tune in next week for the Beginner tapping lesson EVH Eruption...

  • hi stevie i am a beginner guitarist and love the sound you are getting from your guitar. can you tell me what your setup is? (amp, etc.) thanks -- craig

  • You are the most amazing guitarist ever!

  • lol, an hour to tune it flat... whatcha got a harp?

    R.I.P. SRV.

  • @muga69

He has a strat dude, that means he has a hovering bridge, which, makes it harder to tune. so yes an hour to tune that is normal.

  • Since this tutorial is for beginners, do you think we can tune our guitar just by listening to your sound ?

And even if we could manage, it will probably take an hour for me, just for this song, and then another hour to tune it back :)

    Otherwise, great video. Thank you.

  • very cool ! thanks

  • This is a great lesson. A great jumping off point.*****

  • yeah thats why he is watching a lesson on youtube.....haha whatever

  • ALso allows a jumpnig off point so that you can add your own influence into it. I appreciate these it took me out of the alternative crap I played years ago

  • this is an ok video, but personally I think the best way to learn the blues is by listening and copying. That's how ALL the greats learned. I fugured out all the positions etc on my own and I play so much better for it. But a good lesson, well put together.

  • Everyone's got a different set of time constraints to work with. I was lucky enough to have a lot of time when I was first starting to learn everything by ear. Not everyone finds themselves in this situation, and lessons like this allow them to learn something in the time they have.

  • yeah I get it I have loads of time atm!!

  • @TrisPuri

how do u figure out that stuff?

  • the bass in the backing track in the begining of the video has a GREAT tone...

  • Great lesson. Can u add friends here on YouTube? I'd like to watch and learn more in future.

  • since u reply every comment, i just dropped to say hi(HI!!!) ah, and very nice vid, helps a lot xDDD

  • You're welcome.

  • tabs by any chance?

  • I put together GuitarPro and PDF tabs that people who buy the full lesson can download over at StevieSnacks (dot) com. Only $5 so it won't break the bank :)

  • Great lesson! where did you get the music in the back ??

  • This was actually a pride and joy backing track that I found at GuitarBT (dot) com.
