I bought Telegram Sam when it was first released - I was already a massive T.Rex fan - today I believe that Telegram Sam was the best value single ever released - on the A side you had Telegram Sam but on the B Side you had Cadilac and Baby Strange and they too could have been A Sides - totally Brilliant T.REX101

I don't remember 45s, I buy them and still play them. Support your local record stores and not necessarily the chains. Fix or update your music systems and turntables! I have all T. Rex singles and LPs - shame Marc Bolan didn't get props stateside except for Bang a Gong - great timeless music. T. Rex never made it big in America. Nothing like bowie in terms of record sales. Most of the people who were massive Rex fans were little girls running the strip circa 72 in their hot pants and five inch platforms. T.Rex was the greatest of the early glam bands. Slade sucked beyond words. Just terrible. Can't believe people put them into the same sentence. Nolan was out of this dimension!

Rex - Telegram Sam, The Osmond Brother - Goin' Home (believe it or not, a really great song check it out), Alice Cooper - School's Out, and Slade - Look Wot You Dun. Still have them all.
