Just saw a 20/20 show on celebrities before they were famous and at about 1:48 you can see a very young (in fact 17 years old) George Clooney carrying a barrel behind Clint, Robert and Richard. This was George Clooney's first roll for which he got $25 a day as an extra. I never knew it was him 'til now.
Thanks for reminding me that Clint Walker was in this not-so-mini-series: can't remember how many nights it ran. Got to admit he out-classes Conrad and Chamberlain in this scene. Conrad's accent is mediocre at best and Poor Richard looks like a little Dutch boy, in spite of his tomahawk scar. All in all, Clint comes off best: relaxed, quiet and dignified, with a twinkle in his eye. Holds his own in the fight, of course. My hat's off to "Cheyenne"!
Clint walker and Robert conrad, the two most handsome humans beings in earth!!...oh my....i just wonder how they looks today!!..no doubt..still handsomeª...Ann
Robert Conrad got a lot of film work in his day -- quantity is NOT quality! and yes his accent IS terrible in this film....slim Richard Chamberlain doesn't look the tough guy at all in this rustic adventure and I agree Clint Walker should have been featured more than he wasl
Clint is the only one who looks authentic here, and ACTS authentic. I generally like both Conrad and Chamberlain, but their costumes and accents are pretty lame (that wig on Richard! that beard on Bob!). I agree, it is too bad Clint wasn't in this more...would have raised the production value maybe?
How handsome is he?? You gotta love this man. I agree Deb...he should have been one of the main characters. I enjoyed watching this back in the day BUT I would have enjoyed it SO much more had Clint been in it more! You cannot have too much of a good thing, huh??
This was a mini-series. I tried to watch it when it first aired back in the day because of the cast but Robert Conrad's accent was so bad I found it too distracting to watch. Too bad Clint wasn't in more scenes. He'd made anything bearable!

If you have something about him, I am very happy.

Centennial was about my favorite book of all
time ('course I love James Michener); I remem-
ber dragging it out as long as I could reading it
'cause I didn't want the story to end. I loved the
mini-series but Conrad didn't fit my idea of the
Frenchman. I enjoyed Clint's scenes, tho; he
really did seem so real. He did look like a
mountain of a man!
