So a pitbull breaks through his restraint and randomly attacks innocent people and its alright but my GSD tears a support beam off my house to chase after someone trying to get into my house and I'm at fault? WTF?

Couldn't prove reckless action? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Anyone who owns these dogs is well aware of how strong they are. If you're going to chain them up (which I personally deem unacceptable) then for crying out loud use a proper restraint! This is indeed a case of negligence. That set up was less than adequate. Yet again I blame the owner. If they're too stupid to understand the breed they own and care for it properly, they shouldn't have it.
@spiritofwicca You're right, in the US pitbulls have more rights than Blacks, Moslems, Gays, Hispanics, and other minorities. If one illegal alien were to murder somebody, people talk about deporting ALL Hispanics from the us, but if pitbulls kill dozens of babies then it's no big deal.
@Sal30 Unfortunately, it certainly seems as if that is the case. I love dogs and have had them all of my life but, when a dog kills, I strongly believe that the animal should be euthanized. The owner should face serious charges.

She owned a pitbull (while at the same time being afraid of the breed), notice how she said "as soon as it got aggressive, I had to put him down". If you are that afraid and judgemental of the breed, why would you even own a pitbull in the first place. If you are going to own a pit, you have to treat it like any other dog. It's like adopting a child, if you're gonna adopt, you better treat it like if it were your own.

When she raises one and it becomes aggressive it is in their nature, if somebody else raises them it is how you raise them. That's what she means.
