I just saw a film, which i hope never to see again. I too got affraid when the motor was running, and you were to near to the prop.
Oh well everything went well. But that motor was really working hard. A bet more powerfull motor if this was mine, but then i had to get a bigger lon :-). GOOD LUCK WITH IT......... :-)
Man i hate to see you moving so quick around that prop while its running, and getting in between the prop and the wing like you did after firing it up. I would hate to see you loose a shoulder or your life from such an easy stumble. and yes i have worked around very dangerous moving parts. Take care, nice plane aswell.
Can you fly your plane at night? What about in the rain? Do you need a license? How do you get a license? How far can you fly on one tank of gas? Very cool plane.
@justinRkeaton lol, crashing a car at 40 mph or crashing a plane, i know which one I'd rather be in! (well the plane but i bet survival would be trickier, lol but what a way to go!)
Yes I do know that Aviation started in a Bike shop. I also know that The Wright brothers plane only got a few feet off the ground so that when it crashed the chance for death or serious injury was minimal. Todays homebuilts Yes are much safer but can climb/cruise at great height. So when someone you knows is killed in a crash and you know that they had a better chance with a B.R.S. system..maybe then you'll understand my point which is far from Misinformed but a personal choice and opionion.
as one that understands that anything used to enhance your safety and survivabilty is worthwhile. I compare the non-use of a B.R.S. similar to the S.C.U.B.A. that decides having a B.C. vest, or weight belt, or back-up regulator or a knife, etc etc are all avilable but not needed.
Great plane, I would like the stats however, weight, class, [sport-exper.-ultralight etc.]
and horse power.
The aspect ratio on the video out put was way off, remember people youtube cannot handle HD wide screen outputs, You have to output to 4:3 ratio or the picture id going to skinnyfi everything giveing a distorted view. This airplane is alot bigger then it looks because of this.
Scratch the "by myself" part at the end
imaudie43 8 months ago
I'm actually planning to make my own biplane myself, no plan, completely from scratch, by myself.

Some assembly required. Hope batteries are at least included.

To build a homebuilt without the incorporation of a BRS, Ballistic Recorvery System to me is suicidal and
ignorance. Only thing dumber is not having taken out a life insurance policy for your loved ones beforehand.
dodge1997 2 years ago
not if you know what your doing, its safer than driving down the road at 40 mph, in a car, so its preety safe,
