Okay, Batman TAS is one of the most memorable and classic shows in the history of animation. But the promos were really bad... this doesn't show Mr. Freeze's personality at all.
@BattleButlerJeeves Actually, these promos were leaps and bounds beyond ads for any other "children's" programming at the time. The movie trailer style editing, the dark theme music, the high-quality voice-over was all designed to grab the attention of a mature audience. I remember them so fondly.
Probably the greatest Batman episode -- really moving and paced pretty well. All the Mr. Freeze episodes were quite good, actually, perhaps because his reasonings aren't wholly ridiculous or self-serving.
I missed the sneak peek of this show the Satuday before, and didn't catch it till later in its first week.
This was the first episode I saw. I still remember my mom coming home from work and me struggling to convey to her what I had witnessed on the screen. The intesity, the tragedy, the beautiful touches in the animation. Just bubbling over with a flurry of details that she patiently listened to and absorbed. Soon the show was her obsession too.
This is only a good example of how bad television is today. I mean, you had wonderful stories like this Batman episode, nowadays we have shitty reality shows and vampire-romance stories with bad story-telling.
Ah thank you Paul Dini for making a dismal, laughable diamond thief in a spacesuit into a tragic, complex character. You actually find yourself rooting for Freeze to accomplish his objective instead of the dark knight detective.
@Grahf just proof that this series was something that should be celebrated by all generations. This series taught many of us 80s babies some real stuff. We actually matured from watching these cartoons. One of the best animated series of all time!
This is the episode that not only won an Emmy but also brought fame to the series.

I read that before this episode came out, Mister Freeze was just another obscure bat-villain, but now he's a fave for cosplayers.

This is probably my favorite episode of the series next to the riddler episodes
