problem with ebow. when i try to arpeggio with it, the vibration isn't loud enough even when the volume on the guitar is up, so mostly the sound of rubbing the bow on strings comes through
To do arpeggios well you have to really keep the EBow right over the coil of the pickup. If you move it back away from the coils, like I do to play normal melodies, you won't hear much. It has to be moved right over the coils to get arpeggios sounding loud enough.
Another trick is to use a booster pedal for arpeggio parts.
A good one is the MXR Custom Audio Electronics Boost / Overdrive
Dont use too much gain though or the sound will be crappy
Now this is really delightfully different to see an electric guitar player actually innovating! Those cello and viola sounds were super cool! I really liked the classical influence and the expert use of the Ebow, well....like a real bow...on a cello or viola! Nice work that I'm sure most listeners have no idea how to appreciate! That interlude from the Wizard of Oz was really cool.
Indeed! I know because I did (most of it). As tuning in guitar is different to cello's, the fingering for that lovely piece is rather awkward, specially for e-bow, where switching strings is tricky. But it does sound incredible through an e-bow.
No, no, no. The guitar he's playing is NOT made by Jackson. It comes from Warrior Instruments and you could own a couple or more Jacksons for what they cost. After having seen them up close and having played one, I know why. They're awesome.
i saw in a shop a Warrior guitar and it had a weird yet cool shape like a BC RICH guitar and it was black with pointy edges and had a "metal" look. Would you maybe know what guitar im talking about? if so is it a good guitar? thx
This is a custom guitar made by Warrior, the model is the Isabella Knight, about 3800.00 , this is the REAL THING, I know I just bought the exact model, and there is NOTHING OUT THERE THAT IS BETTER, IASSURE YOU! If you like PRS's, don't waste your money! The Warrior company is best known as a custom bass guitar shop, I know plenty of pro bassist's who play them, they're like a wood necked Modulus! Warrior is elite, thats all there is to it, they are creating masterpieces!
Is that a led light on your guitar?!?!?! @.@!!!!!!!
just got my ebow today lol i'm gonna master this little device >:D

@YanmingYuMusic
Yes it is a LED underneath the 12th fret sword inlay
All the Knight models had those and you can ask for it on any custom guitar
How cool is that!
It also emits an elecrto-magnetic gravity field that helps you play near the speed of light...
just kiddin o course ;-)
Just for show but it does grab attention

Thanks - E-Bows are so cool. The Warrior is delightful to play - it practically plays itself.

@gmabilli Cathedral - Van Halen. No ebow required. :D Still cool, I agree.

This is awesome!! I bet if you could play this deep in the Pacific ocean you'd make some good friends with whales.

Looks like a First Act to me.

By the way, nice demo, lordsong7!

Jackson warrior model - it's decent low end guitar but I think Jackson makes a higher quality model as well.

Is it a warlock? I would not recommend one. The only BC Rich i would play is the Assassin.
xHighPotencyx 3 years ago
ok so i asked if it was a original Warrior (after learning how expensive they are) and the guy at the pawn shop said it wasnt. There: it was a copy
