i think all the monks should have guessed since cahse only went after certain shen gong wu or only after a certain period that he had some sort of plan in mind..

omi should have guessed since he was singled out that the plan may or may not have involved him...

and because they know that he used to be on the xiaolin side and switched, and that he has lived for 1500 years without enacting an evil plan, that he was waiting to onvert one of the chosen ones, i.e, omi

The monks probably just take it as a cosmic break, that they don't have to fight the super-powerful guy every time they try to get Wu.
