2 - Fedors scared of Overeem. His management mentioned steroids as his reason for turning down the fight. But A) the fight would have been in America, where there is drug testing. B) Fedors management immedietly challenged Josh Barnett, the only fighter ever to be caught doing steroids, 3 TIMES! C)Look at what Overeem did to Fujita, Thompson, and Rogers. Fujita and Rogers were the only 2 fighters to stun Fedor, and together they landed less than 5 punches. Combine the 3, less then 10 on Reem!

1 - Fedor IS scared to fight Lesnar. Which he should be. Lesnar is the size of a bear. Fedor maybe the "most skilled" heavyweight, but skill doesnt translate to fighting a top level athelete like Lesnar. I never said anything about the UFC legends...I simply said that all the so called "champions" you mentioned, where in fact X champs. Fedor is the toughest fighter out there. But I have to say that Nogueira is the 2nd toughest. He would have won the fight against Frank Mir if the guy hadn't torn his knee and fought after having a staph infection.

Just because someone is pushing the pace of a fight, doesn't necessarily mean they are winning the fight.
When you review the video footage of that fight, you will take notice that Fedor had blocked most of those shots.
Fedor has proven over and over that his accuracy and timing is bar none. His fights don't always look pretty, but he always manages to pull off the win.
You need to review that fight, arlovski was winning about 13 clean punches to fedors 4, but fedor did win. And fedro starts throowing the overhand right before arlovski even leaps forward...it was random luck

Fedor fights for strikeforce, which with all do respect is a second rate fight league. kinda like the NFL and then college ball or a semi pro league. The Ufc has more top 10 fighters than any other organization, so they are the best. Although strikeforce has a few top contenders none of them are in Fedors wieght class. I think its important to remeber that all of them were x champs and already released from the ufc for the most part. And you make a good point that Fedor has proven himself more than Brock, but thats not where im going. I completely agree. I don't get why the general consensus (even among professional fighters) is that Fedor has to come to the UFC and prove himself against Brock. It's completely ass-backwards. Fedor has beaten many legends, many times. Brock only beat one legend, and that man was in his late 40s. Is Brock one of the top heavyweights? Yes, I definitely think so. He's proven himself to be a force, but not like Fedor has. Brock has to prove himself by fighting Fedor, plain and simple.

Im not gonna get into a disrespectful bout with you, but I had my first amature fight when i was 16 thru derby city mma. I have been a martial artist since i was in grade school. i wrestled all thru middle and high school, so i know the mma game very well. I am just a realist, when someone has that large of a strength advantage and that sort of wrestling ability, its a hard task to overcome. They are just opinions, no need to insult anyone.
i think it was smart of fedor to go to strikeforce, cuz he can make MORE money from cbs, showtime, and strikeforce itself plus copromotion to get his m1 global thing going...ufc would be under a single contract payment...

Hey Rick. I do to! Fedor vs Brock is a dream fight, so is Fedor vs Randy Couture. Hopefully one day the UFC and Fedors people can come to terms. It seems like M-1 Global and Vadim Finklestien are holding him back. Dana White offered Fedor the most lucrative fight contract in the history of the sport, and he turned it down to go to Strikeforce.

M-1 Global wont allow Fedor to fight in the UFC unless Dana agrees to co promote the event. Theres no way in hell UFC will ever copromote an event with anyone. Especially M1.
Fedor would definitely dominate the UFCs HW division as it sits, but the competition is stiff in the UFC and fighters are constantly improving. If Fedor keeps fighting lesser competition, and Brock keeps fighting the best of the best (3 times a year) who knows

2 - Fedors scared of Overeem. His management mentioned steroids as his reason for turning down the fight. But A) the fight would have been in America, where there is drug testing. B) Fedors management immedietly challenged Josh Barnett, the only fighter ever to be caught doing steroids, 3 TIMES! C)Look at what Overeem did to Fujita, Thompson, and Rogers. Fujita and Rogers were the only 2 fighters to stun Fedor, and together they landed less than 5 punches. Combine the 3, less then 10 on Reem!

1 - Fedor IS scared to fight Lesnar. Which he should be. Lesnar is the size of a bear. Fedor maybe the "most skilled" heavyweight, but skill doesnt translate to fighting a top level athelete like Lesnar. Im not a "fan" of any 1 fighter I respect them all, but look at Lesnars NFL combine stats. Add expierience to that and thats one scary man.

The "No Look Punch" that you speak of is a little
overused when talking about this fight. He knew that Arlovski's knee was coming up fast and so he aimed, fired, looked down, and with just enough time manages to block the flying knee just in case. Watch it in slow motion and you will see what I'm talking about.

Just because someone is pushing the pace of a fight, doesn't necessarily mean they are winning the fight.
When you review the video footage of that fight, you will take notice that Fedor had blocked most of those shots.
Fedor has proven over and over that his accuracy and timing is bar none. His fights don't always look pretty, but he always manages to pull off the win.

yeah, and thats the problem with the UFC. a fighter loses one or two fights and they cut him, thats ignorant, most fighters end with a 27-4 record, etc. no one except fedor is undefeated and has more than 10-15 fights against top talent. pride didnt cut ppl, thats why it was better, the fighters had fun, put on shows, and fought great matches bcause they werent scared of losing and getting dropped. look at coleman, hes headlining a ufc and hes lost to fedor, getting dropped by ufc means nothing

The Ufc has more top 10 fighters than any other organization, so they are the best. Although strikeforce has a few top contenders none of them are in Fedors wieght class. But I will agree that the heavywieght division does need some more guys. But you cant deny guys like Mir, gonzaga, dos santos, valasquez, kongo, Carwin all big names. Were did you see Brett nearly finishing Fedor? And Lesnar doesn't need to prove anything to you? He beat grandpa Couture (great athlete, by the way but in his 40s), and Mir only in his second attempt.Please, I respect you and all but if there is someone that has to prove something is Lesnar with his few fights in that circus called UFC, not Fedor with an incredible record over Coleman,Herring, Sylvia, Randleman,Cro Cop (in his prime) and of course Nog.All those (except Cro Cop) were UFC CHAMPS

I think its important to remeber that all of them were x champs and already released from the ufc for the most part. And you make a good point that Fedor has proven himself more than Brock, but thats not where im going. What i am trying to say is everyone just labels Fedor the best, but nowadays all he is fighting are so called safe fights ( if you can call any fight safe). At 135 of the first round, the ref even said he was close to stoping it and fedor sufferd a broken nose.

I completely agree. I don't get why the general consensus (even among professional fighters) is that Fedor has to come to the UFC and prove himself against Brock. It's completely ass-backwards. Fedor has beaten many legends, many times. Brock only beat one legend, and that man was in his late 40s. Is Brock one of the top heavyweights? Yes, I definitely think so. He's proven himself to be a force, but not like Fedor has. Brock has to prove himself by fighting Fedor, plain and simple.

They are actually talking Dan Henderson versus Fedor for strikeforce, that would be pretty cool. But in my opinion, you cant be called the best till you hold the belt in the best fight league and Brock is a strong man.....just my opinions

You dont think so? I am not a huge brock fan, but the guy is pure power, probabaly the strongest guy to ever fight in the ufc. I like to think of him as a boss character on a video game ya know? You cant deny what he did to Frank was deadly. But if not brock, who do you thinks got the best chance?

Im not gonna get into a disrespectful bout with you, but I had my first amature fight when i was 16 thru derby city mma. I have been a martial artist since i was in grade school. i wrestled all thru middle and high school, so i know the mma game very well. I am just a realist, when someone has that large of a strength advantage and that sort of wrestling ability, its a hard task to overcome. They are just opinions, no need to insult anyone.

i think it was smart of fedor to go to strikeforce, cuz he can make MORE money from cbs, showtime, and strikeforce itself plus copromotion to get his m1 global thing going...ufc would be under a single contract payment...

Have you ever seen him fight? He specializes in Russian Sambo. Definitely my favorite fighter. Right up there with Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell.
He embodies the martial arts spirit.

I hear it. He really does need to sign with the UFC. Strikeforce is great, but the real competition is in the UFC. I have no doubt that he would own the HW division, but M1 wont relent.
Dana offered him the biggest contract in MMA history and he turned it down, because the UFC wont co promote events with M1.
His legend is already cemented, but these days the big fights are in the UFC.

Hey Rick. I do to! Fedor vs Brock is a dream fight, so is Fedor vs Randy Couture. Hopefully one day the UFC and Fedors people can come to terms. It seems like M-1 Global and Vadim Finklestien are holding him back. Dana White offered Fedor the most lucrative fight contract in the history of the sport, and he turned it down to go to Strikeforce.
Ill be seeing Fedor spar next Friday in Kansas City, Hes doing an exhibition match at M-1 Breakthrough.
I hear MMA is huge in Canada.

Hey i know this is late, but do you know how much Dana White offered Fedor or like a close estimate? it would be awesome to see Lesner vs. Emelianenko! It would also be badd ass to see Anderson Silva beef up to heavies to challenge one of the two fighters (even though i think Fedor would take it!) or see Fedor bump down to light heavies if that would be possible. I dunno just my thoughts. 1ne luv.

M-1 Global wont allow Fedor to fight in the UFC unless Dana agrees to co promote the event. Theres no way in hell UFC will ever copromote an event with anyone. Especially M1.
Fedor would definitely dominate the UFCs HW division as it sits, but the competition is stiff in the UFC and fighters are constantly improving. If Fedor keeps fighting lesser competition, and Brock keeps fighting the best of the best (3 times a year) who knows
