Tried this tonight, everything prepared as shown here: the green beans w/ shallots? fantastic.

baked potatoes, {with a spray of olive oil, and seasoned salt rubbed on skins,} so good!

The seitan? not so good at all, {even used the family's fav bbq sauce,}

tasted exactly like bread soaked, in family said, bbq sauce.

Yuk!

Guess I'll go back to boca burger veggie ribs...very good, and vegan!

VL, where did I go wrong? I made a point of not over kneading the dough...

Although I'm wondering if I can make seitan ribz without using vital wheat gluten(I make my own gluten since I can't find the powdered stuff anywhere)?

ok i got confused. i couldnt remember how to make seitan and just tried to do it by memory (EPIC FAIL) was at someone's home and it turned out terribly wrong!!! I am going to follow this video step by step and try again!!!!!

Remember: use cold water with wheat gluten! Warm or hot water will prematurely activate it.
