Brilliant insight! I have been making the same reasoning myself... Islam is not just a religion, but a civilization, with its set of rules, laws and customs, a political society with very secular, material goals, it has a history of conquest, oppression, intolerance and violence. Since it is mostly a political organization that only uses religion to brain-wash and manipulate people, it cannot be and should not be protected under the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
