I think the only 5 scifi books I have ever read were:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Starship Troopers (i agree...so much better than the movie!)

I am legend

and

I, Robot

Those are all great books:) I have the graphic novel version of I am legend its different from the movie but most books are i guess especially now a days.

I quietly suggest you rename this video Scifi book collection. I almost thought you were into drugstore romance novels..... I think alot of people dig science fiction.

i got a recent book called neuromancer and its kick ass. i am currently playing ffviii and there is a bar you go in where a tvscreen in the upper right of the bar show a person turning into a tiger, i believe that is a refrence to the the book. also shadow run for the snes and i think genesis was pretty much the book in video game form, down the main character being called Armitage

Ya Shadowrun was my favorite game back then and don't forget that Anime called Armitage.
