when my italian american 88 yr old dad (who's parents & siblings were born in italy) watched the election & inauguration, an enormous sense of pride swept over him & more than one tear fell from his eyes.

he & my mom raised us to believe, respect & honor the words of MLK. they took time to make their children understand, in their own way, we're ALL human 1st, american 2nd. no further explanation needed!

i'm thrilled he got to see the 1st black president & finally world champion red sox!

Obama is biracial, Black father and white mother. Calling him African American is not correct. Is Obama not proud of his white heritage? This is a slap in the face for the biracial and white race.
