  • Guinneapig I think you should get the kobo it has a very nice setup and Iam getting the kobo :)

  • What should i get i like them both but cant decide pleaz tell me

  • If you have a nook app on your phone, you do have an option to delete books from your account, thus from your Nook.

  • Does Kobo Touch supports "publiser's formatting" option?

  • Thanks for the review. I bought the Kobo Touch. I had the Kobo reader and was happy with it but stepped on it lol. So thought I would upgrade. The Kobo Touch has very little room for your hands. I don't have very big hands so I was a little disappointed. I saw the Nook at Target and the sides are just a little bit bigger. It fits better in the hand. I'm taking back my Kobo Touch tomorrow and getting the Nook.

  • kobo looks nicer...but in terms of what is best for me, I think the nook is best.

  • Great review dude

  • Yup, Kobo Touch was my favorite until I read the thing about the dictionaries.

I'm German and I want to read English books but it's pretty useless without a good dictionary

I don't wanna get a Kindle and the Sony is glossy .... So I guess I have to wait for the next generation of ereaders .... damn it

  • @RedJoker get a nook

  • @99ViolaMaster

Not available in Europe ... as far as I know

  • The Kobo is really a nice reader. Unfortunately the dictionaries are useless crap and there is no way to install better ones. Compared to the high quality Collins dictionaries of the Sony PRS-T1 (which is in the same price range) the Kobo has a serious problem for users that read texts in foreign languages.

  • I want to know which one is easier to root and load roms

  • im thinking about getting nook because kobo has bad reviews right now and

------------ kindle only have kindle books, no ePub book format--------------- so far nooks the best

  • the screen dies alot

  • Well I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux is actually GNU/Linux, or as I've taken to calling it, GNU + Linux. You see, Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but is actually another free component of a fully functioning GNU system, made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

  • @NotEvenTrolling Your comment about GNU/Linux is completely and utterly pointless and pedantic, and here's why: Anybody who would even give half a crap about that distinction *already knows that*, and everybody else just doesn't give a crap (and why should they?)

  • @MrFezzik The name "Linux" doesn't respect your freedom.

  • Just a heads up for the pronunciation of "Avenir", it's french for "future". It's pronounced "A-veh-niir", like "Avenue", but like the word "near" for the ending. You would also roll the 'r' at the end.

Thanks a lot for these reviews, I'm probably gonna get the kobo after your multiple reviews on it.

  • The Kobo is also aestheticly more attractive. The Nook looks like a turtle that got run over on the freeway.

  • @RobynHode8 that's the cute part of it :)

  • @RobynHode8 lol

  • hey nice video. what do you like more, the kobo or the nook? what is the fastest? what touch one is better? thanks.

  • wooo mistborn series. :)

  • Kobo is an awesome ereader and overrated because people take brand name over qualities.

  • @crazyladydaly I heard the dictionary sucks though. For an avid reader...that's A HUGE thumbs down for me. Barnes and Noble is good at books...who cares if they are a brand name? They are popular for a reason.

  • Can you save webpages (plain HTML) or download files (like pdf or epub)in the Kobo? And in the Nook?

  • Nook Wins

  • 6:25 goolge.com :D

  • Very instructive and well madereview

  • i bought my nook touch and i pirate all my ebooks >:)

  • @SuperBlobsterMan How do you do that?

  • Thank you for putting it up ;)

  • ty... i'll buy the kobo as soon as they release it in Europe. can i already buy it fron online stores in america or canada??

  • @taxtard3 You can buy it in grand central in new york city, and newport mall in new jersey. Both places have kiosks

  • i think im getting the kobo now.... did they fix the spacing yet?

  • Does the nook internet browsing still lack?

  • thnx for the review!!

  • Sorry, I meant the Kobo Touch NOT the Nook..

  • New firmware has added a lot more formatting options to the nook, inluding extra and user-uploadable fonts. I've been using one for a month now, and I love it.

  • Good review. And thumbs up because you used The Well of Ascension as your demo book.

  • @ThePhatIndian tl;dr. If you expect anyone to read your wall of text written in caps, you must be dense. & seeing how you think by reading only the titles of newsposts that you'll get the information you want, you must be truly stupid.

  • @SuperWhosaid Either way you'll have to buy books.. Unless you pirate them online.

  • This is the one I was waiting for. :)

These are the two best on the market (unless the PRS650 drops to 150$ or so), in my opinion. I'm leaning toward the Nook though.

  • @ThePhatIndian Stay the hell away from Sony. Their ereader died one day after the warranty expired. Never again.

  • @openuniverse2003 I've had a PRS505 for 4 years now and the thing still works beautifully. It's a tank.

I only want to upgrade because of the new pearl e-ink displays. And I'd get the PRS650 in a heartbeat if it wasn't still over 200$.

  • @ThePhatIndian I'd wait until Christmas, eink is releasing a new display, or even if you just want the pearl, it'll be cheaper by then.

  • @haloman800 Can you cite a source on that? I haven't read anything about new e-ink displays and I read tech blogs every day.

  • @ThePhatIndian ww w. 0. mk/d70b (remove spaces) Here ya go !

  • @haloman800 Umm... the article is all about how there won't be a new successor to Pearl displays. Did you even read it? It's right there on the headline.

  • @ThePhatIndian Umm... Did you even read the article? Do your own research then. Guys like you make me not want to help random folks.

  • @haloman800 You don't feel like helping out random folks because they call you out for linking articles that contradict all the information you are trying to (erroneously) convey?

You read the article and get back to me. But this time, take your time and try to understand it, you moron. The article specifically states that NO NEW MONOCHROME E-INK DISPLAYS will be released in 2011 and that the only improvements in readers will come from faster processors, more memory and better software.

  • @ThePhatIndian tl;dr. If you expect anyone to read a wall of text written in caps, yet you yourself only read the titles of articles expecting to get the information you want, you're truly dense.

And you actually have the audacity to say "I read tech blogs every day" hahahahaha

  • @haloman800 I read the entire article. What I found interesting is that even the headline directly contradicts your "information".

I know this is the part where you keep digging yourself deeper in a hole trying to appear intelligent and correct (wrong on both counts) even though you accidentally linked an article that dismantled your own argument. So I'm out. Keep waiting on that new e-ink display that is coming out (at Christmas, right?).

  • @openuniverse2003 People have said the same about the Nooks and Kobo.
