  • @Jo3yization It's not. You could injure your back if you swing like that. Plus it doesn't work your biceps nearly as well. I honestly don't know why the best bodybuilder's swing like that. Does anyone know why? It's like everything I've ever read about proper form gets thrown out of the window when professional bodybuilders are lifting weights.

    because perfect form actually limits the amount of weight/stress of your muscles can move during a set, they are using momentum but it's directed on that muscle, if that makes any sense.

    i think to keep the tension on the muscle their working, the weight is transfered to your arms when you fully extend

  • @Ajbadboy252 its shoulder, not chest and ive heard many people, depending on their goals say that there is too much stress on the elbows or in this case the shoulders, i know when i do a shoulder press, if i fully extend my arms my left shoulder feels hyper flexed.

  • they are going for the contraction ever so slightly notice how when they do shoulders from chin to almost above forhead its that section which really isolates the front delts. This is why they dont need to go competely down and it really does give you a good burn... 1 min 30 in hes doing curls notice the slightest pause at the top thats for the peak im guessing but its still good form Same for raises on the shoulders they pause at the top...

    They wont strain either they are there for money lol

  • @MrChecco0 if you knew anything about bodybuilding, you would know that you want some synergy with your muscles on mid-range movements. In other words, it's good to cheat on certain exercises in certain positions of flexion.

  • @MrNickOnUTube when you go that heavy you cant have perfect form, they do the workout perfectly tho, you see keeping perfect form would put too much strain on the torso. when trainers say perfect form is crucial thats just because beginners use such light weight, once you go heavy, you have to move a little. but not as much as branch warren does lol :)

  • @DjBryanStirling When you lift heavy weights, you can swing a bit. For beginners its better to have a perfect form, but I've been weight training for 6 years and I always "swing" a bit as long as I FEEL my muscles working.

    So I swing when I do dumbbell curls, I don't care what the noobs think about me because my bicep is on fire after that.

    And don't trust fitness trainers, well not all of them. I knew some trainers who were horribly bad

  • @BigSamFoSho Can i ask you how long it takes to pack on muscle or notice a change etc. Ive watched alot of videos and they say you wont notice a diff till like a year later, but ive just started like 4 month ago n i can notice a big diff, Nothing major but getting there... Gradually lol.

  • @DjBryanStirling If you start with next to nothing you will notice a change pretty fast, once you are a fair size is when it gets harder for you to actually gain the muscle mass you keep aiming for. That is only if you do keep raising the bar for your goal.

  • Wonder why they use such a short range of motion? most trainers stress full range of motion in bb, but these guys, the best of all time use such short range...

  • @TonyMon16 short range of motion increases the intensity if you do it correctly(dont relax on the stating position of each rep but keep tention in the muscle) and it can also prevent injury(less stress on the joints;; the amount of reps these guys do can really hurt the joints).

  • @TonyMon16 yes, i asked Jay if i should do half reps, and then he just said "it depends on your genetics" so we have to try different things and see what works for us.

    I think the do fast reps/half reps just to keep the muscle because you have to train very intense to grow muscle. I use HIT, it is the best! slow on the negative and low heavy sets
