Seven, eight, or nine abortions?? That must be a lie. No self-respecting woman who has been through even one abortion would want to go back a second time and go through that again. Abortion is a painful, traumatic procedure, and one that no woman in her right mind takes lightly.
If you seriously DO know "many women" who have had 7-9 abortions, you're hanging out with seriously insecure, unintelligent individuals who don't know enough to take care of their own bodies and self-esteem!
YES, I do know many women that have had that procedure done multiple times! As a matter of fact, The View's Sherri Shepard appeared on Entertainment Tonight saying the she had more abortions than she could have ever counted. So just because you don't know people personally that had multiple abortions doesn't mean it is not possible. There are many women that have multiple abortions and think nothing of it.
Birth control is not 100% effective. There are many children in this world that have been conceived on birth control. Furthermore, it is proven that medical forms of birth control are abortifacient. Again, the most sure fire way of not having a inconvenient pregnancy to abstain from sex.
(continued), are you really going to persecute her for making a decision that she feels in her heart is the best one? Please don't judge what is going on inside another woman's body, mind, or soul--that is for your God to decide, not you, and not the government.
Ah, the old "She's a slut and she DESERVES it!" cannard. The same argument that sexists just as yourself use to justify rape.
Do you ever stop to think that maybe people don't fit into your myopic, medieval view of them--most of the time, if at all? I don't know ANYONE who treats abortion as some sort of petty convenience. It is a serious medical procedure, and women who have one always give it serious thought. When your sister, aunt, or friend wants a baby but doesn't feel she can have one,
What "success in Iraq"? Not only are we NOT winning, in fact, we are stuck in the middle of an endless war over there, but it's costing us trillions of dollars, we've gone trillions in dollars in debt over a war for oil with no end in sight, now how is that a "success"?
You mean, more spending like BushCo. did with OUR tax dollars on a failed neocon experiment in Iraq (to the tune of 1.5 billion dollars a DAY)? And that's not a typo--that's BILLION with a "B".
Thing is, BushCo didn't raise taxes during wartime, and ask US to sacrifice like every OTHER society in HISTORY--he just pulled out his Magic Colossal Credit Card, and ran up our deficit into the TRILLIONS.
It's time we had some fiscal responsibility, and Obama IMO is the one to do it.
He supports the right of children. The right for them to live life. Some people in this country believe that children are not property that can be thrown away. They are human beings.
First of all, a fetus is not a child, secondly, a fetus does NOT have the right to use a woman's body against her will NO ONE does. Forced childbirth is every bit as much a crime as forced abortion, pro-choice endorses neither, it endorses just that, the right to CHOOSE. And I'm sorry, but adoption is NOT the answer. Just because she doesn't have to keep the child after birth doesn't change the reality of the situation: that she's in a situation that clearly opposes her health and best interest.
3Haydens--since when are we on the left screaming our military are "baby killers"? We're the ones who advocate for better health care for our service men and women and also our veterans, and want to see our military servicepeople well-taken-care of and healthy when they go off to war.
Look at Walter Reed and the miserable failure of Bush's Iraq policy--the Republicans you love haven't been doing that great a job of "supporting our troops", only offering empty lip service!
Wow. Okay. You're right. You convinced me. I'm sold. Man, I don't know how I didn't get it before. You're exactly right. Your facts are many and indisputable.
Thanks for setting me straight. I don't know what I was thinking. My views, I know, were based on deliberation and analysis of the facts, but somehow I ended up with the wrong conclusions.
Anyway, thanks for the help. I appreciate it. You're totally right. Sorry for being such a libtard.
Oh, my God. I cannot for the life of me believe the utter and sheer UGLINESS of some of the people commenting on this thread. And you guys call yourselves "pro-life"? Where is the respect for _all_ life, such as the lives of those who are already OUT of the womb? Where is the Christianity in calling someone of a different political bent than you a "retard", "a**hole", or "sh**head"? Where's the good-heartedness, kindness, and generosity toward ALL God's people, even those you don't agree with?
Sorry, those types aren't welcome round here. Theys that got empathy and compassion fer thar fella man ain't got the right to call them selfs nuthin' but democrat party. stupid people what always want to help better they selves and all those around 'em...it's anti-american aint it??
people who require this service, are those pedophiles, coaches, teachers, etc, etc who have impregnated someone they shouldn't be having sex with in the first place. PP is supposed to report these incidents, but never has, to my knowledge. I campaigned for Sarah's Law, to prevent needless deaths of these same girls whose parents had NO clue they'd had an abortion and subsequently died of sepsis, infection or internal bleeding among other causes. DEFUND Planned Parenthood.
Help me understand something. If Christian conservatives, like yourself, are so infallible and so logical, why do they feel the need to insult those who don't agree with them?
On an unrelated note...ivy MBA? You're...saying you have an MBA from an ivy league school?
I don't know whom you are addressing in this post. But if I may take a moment to clear something up? Not all conservatives are Evangelical Christians, as the media, academia, and you seem to portray it. I'm an agnostic-- never affiliated with any religion--and I'm a proud, pro-life conservative. Unlike many liberals, I strive to be tolerant of people of all backgrounds and am proud of the work Christian conservatives have done for the life movement and for society writ large.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply. You're right; it's an unfair assumption I made. I tend to assume that a person's pro-life stance stems from religious beliefs. That's not very fair of me and I'm sorry for the implication.
That said, I was responding to MoBush and bristled a bit at the colorful but unfortunate term "libtard".
Just as it's unfair to assume somebody's pro-life stance is based on religion, it's also unfair to assume that a pro-choice stance is based on liberal ideology.
McCain never attended a racist church Obama did 4 20 yrs at Trinity United McCains pastor never spewed hate against blacks Obamas pastor spewed hate against whites McCain never studied the KKK philosophy Obama studied BLACK POWER thru Dr.J.H.Cone McCain was tortured as a P.O.W. Obama had a splinter once McCain has over 20 yrs EXP in politics Obama did 143 days of actual Congressionl work McCain has foreign affairs experience Obama went to muslim school in Indonesia Obama is a Kenyan citizen
computerpurple: that's the first thing i noticed about this vid--get the cross off her lapel! libtards aren't fooling me--let's all become passive, irresponsible citizens and let the government take care of us--who are they kidding? commies....
Hello stonescourt. Love the comment you left. So true. Goverment safety net has turned into a addiction. In fact some think it's " a right". Im all for helping the truly needed such as the crippled. I also think the private sector help organization does a better job of helping than the bureaucratic goverment.
Hunter, I am pro-life. And I don't agree with Obama on his abortion stance....BUT...
...we had a pro-life president for 8 years now. Abortion is still here. The Prez has such little power on this matter. I don't let a candidate's stance on abortion be the determining factor. Sadly, their opinion almost doesn't count.
Late term abortion was reversed because enough liberals were killed via abortion and Bush won.
A wiser congress was smart enought to realize that partial birth abortion blatently slapped the Constitution and Preamble's blessings right in the face.
Abortion will survive until two liberal justices retire (or 1 retires & the President nominates someone and dems follow Constitution and advice/consent.
And remember to thank libtards for condom plan, record STDs, & record HPV.
As a young woman Planned Parenthood helped educate me about sexual health. They have provided me with free condoms, given me a prescription to contraception, and have tested my partner and myself for STDs.
Planned Parenthood has made sure, through education and contraception, that I have never been faced with an unwanted pregnancy. And for that I am am very thankful.
Abortion is murder. Who is standing up for the rights of the unborn? Planned Parenthood is wicked, and needs to be defunded.

How about birth control? A lot of right-wingers are against that as well as abortion. First stop, Roe V. Wade; next stop, Griswold V. Connecticut!
(Don't know what that case entails, then I suggest you use Teh Google and look it up.)
