That is a real Linux android OS on the phone, But remenber since linux is a open source they can modified anything! also the phone doesent have a android market app because legal purpose rights. You guys more then anithing the here In the USA everithing is regulary by goverment !

However i must admit that this model (name is "DSTL1", SciPhone just resells tham like RoverPC and some other brands) is quite interesting. Even it's design, while quite exotic, is no more clone of Apple/Nokia/RIM smartphones! Great!

Well, n19 is a copy of the BlackBerry Storm.

N19 Android operating system is not totally fake, I have read that it can install some of the Android softwares.

If you want to buy one of these phones, buy the N21, N12, or Dream G2.

N19 is more of a typical Chinese fake phone

N21 is not "looking like" Yuhua X2, it *IS* X2. And i wonder what N19 was in its birth, which ODM, which model, etc.

N12 is too pricey. N21 is draining batteries and i dislike its design. G2 is not Android, G2 is fake like those China-iPhones.

N19 is real Android 1.5 but no info how to upgrade/reflash it popped up yet.

i canot buy it in local stores in Russia.

so i would have to buy it from sciphone themselves, hoping that postofiice would not break it during shipping and would not loose it and customs would overlook it. Then it is price of SciPhone plus their price for Tracked Air Mail.

PS: i can buy it on e-bay clones, but it would be from those, who purchased it just like i described above, not official import channels.

The N21 actually has real android and is an excellant phone, 100% if I still needed dual sim I would ditch my iphone and get one. Yes I do sell them and yes they are real android unlike the shoddy G2's. Also Android is a free code, Google released most of the Android code under the Apache License, a free software and open source license. So all you sceptics buy one or STFU.

are you sure about that ? check forums, there isa lot of people updating the os to the 2.0 version without problems, this phone is the same as the general mobile dstl1, check good at least before talk, n21 has real android 1.5 .

but don't buy the N19 if you're in the North America, because you won't be able to make calls. it supports ONLY GSM 900/1800 MHz bands, at least the ones you can buy right now.

This is not real Android OS, its a simulated Android looking OS.

It just has the look basically. The touch screen is not that great, but it works for what its meant to be used for.

Its actually very expensive for what it is, I suggest investing more in a real Android phone.

China does not have access to the code for Android. So they just simulated it. It's not actually Android OS.

I have an HTC G1 - I can tell it's the real deal. Especially if you look at Sciphone's earlier "Dream G2" which faked Android (it sucked)
