Using MIDItar Hero with a Digital Audio Workstation

its not working for me... downloaded all the software, and plugged my wii set into my macbook pro, set the controller to Harmonix drum controller for Nintendo Wii, the control type to Wii RB Drums, and the output to MaxMSP Runtime 1. I clicked on drums. I opened garageband, and it said it detected 3 midi inputs. However, I don't know how to specify what midi input to use, and this setup is not sending creating any sounds on the piano. Same thing in Logic... No sounds.

How do you set up your Rockband 2 Controller hooked up with Mixcraft 5 with MIDItar Hero? I have the controller drivers for x360 and have MaX/MSP running. The guitar controllers are a Rockband 3 Mustang Pro Fender and a Rockband 2 Stratocaster Wireless? Please help I can't find any good tutorials online how to set it up. Its damn frustrating.

Not sure what you mean... can you get it working with Mixcraft at all, but only one sound? Or can you not get any sound from Mixcraft?

I take it you haven't read the documentation that you can download along with MIDItar Hero... you might want to start there.

hey. alright so i have Guitar Hero drums, with a MIDI usb cable. i plugged it in, as stated, and it didnt download any specific Xbox driver? so when i open up MIDItar hero, the controller selection is blank. I am trying to use this with Mixcraft 4, and would eventually like to sync with ezdrummer. I am confused though, and need a little help. I am using Windows XP

Not sure if I already got in touch with you on the MH site or not, but in case anyone else is wondering:

The MIDI port on the GH drums is a MIDI in, not out. To use the GH drums (or pretty much everybody Xbox 360 controller as they're now all wireless), you need the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter... it plugs in through USB and you can sync up to 4 controllers with it. It'll work with OS X or Windows.

I cant get both the drums and guitar to work, and I downloaded the PS3 controller driver. Where it says controller in MIDItarhero, it only shows 4 different Apple Internal Keyboards and one Apple IR.

Literally, you have to do the exact same thing as in this video. You don't even have to do ANYTHING in GarageBand, just make a new Software Instrument track and pick a guitar sound. GarageBand automatically accepts all MIDI input from any channel.

To get any sounds besides your computer's default synthesizer, yes. If you're running Windows and you can't get any sound from the default synthesizer ("MS Wavetable Synth" or something similar), check your Sound control panel... you probably have the SW Synth muted or turned all the way down.
