Saw the original last night on KCal and was captured completely by the whole concert. I can't wait to receive my DVD. Andrea was his magnificent self. He does not have his sight but he is blessed with that glorious voice! Much tearing up.......

Sarah Brightman sang as Andrea Bocelli's true equal in the original version. Ana maria martinez practically was no more than a calafare in this rendition. She hardly opened her mouth.

Her role is restricted for good reason: she is nowhere near Brightman's level. It was almost painful hearing this crap after hearing the Brightman version. I actually muted this while typing this comment.

ana maria martinez is the one singing with him, she is a mezzo-soprano, see her youtube vidios, she's quite the rising star, placido doming is her mentor, she has saung all over the world.too bad she didn't sing separately.
