yeah a powered amp...what are the options on amps....unpowered.....self powered....no power....lol and this video only has sound on one channel.....was that the monitor channel we were listening to...and I was so looking forward to ALL the options on speakers that DJ's can use.....but only got to see one JBL active baby....on a stick....feel ripped off..
Hey girl, Don't listen to haters, they're just anonymous dumb asses who are angry @ the world. lol, I've been a professional DJ for 15 yrs. & I can give you a positive suggestion... just make sure what you label your vid matches the content. For example: If you're doing a beginner DJ tutorial, label it as such. I understand, it's really hard to articulate the DJ lingo & explain all that your hands & brain are doing & looking out for at the same time. Anyway, keep doin' what you do. :)
@BetterBboyBody She was trying her best. There is much more to it than that, probably not what you were searching for, nor I as well. However, don't bad mouth someone just because they're trying to do something positive.
APpreaciated DJ sHY..even though her vids is kinda short..but shows begginers to learn..its not like some of the others do..theyre videos are just show off..ohh watch me my videos OHH im SOo gOOD at mxing..beat this..comments of dumb ass..saying they already know..waste of time..BlaHHH..blahhh..
Well I have to give it up to Dj Shy is nice to see a female Dj for a change in the ever dominant male DJ scene. Keep practicing on the vids since there content is rated 4 out 10, make your vids more to practical and less theoretical. : )
This doesnt even cover the '' type of speakers ''. The type would be for instance Xlr Speakers , Hi-fi speakers ect .... then you would need to talk about the type of amplifiers for the type of speakers ..
Sorry but I dont even know what your doing in that video , 8 year old that knows diffrence between xlr and hi-fi could just explain better xD!
so ya what kind of speakers should i look for if im gona use like a usb dj console like the hercules rmx (only want for at home or with a small group of friends so they dont need to be night club quality just loud enought to anoy the neighbors if i use it in my garage)
@gamermanj4 You have several options for speakers if you're using the Hercules Rmx - you could get a set of powered speakers and use 1/4' TRS to XLR cables if the speakers have those inputs, if they have TRS inputs then that's even easier with just have a 1/4' speaker cord to hook them up to. Personally my setup when using USB devices is into my mixer, which goes into a series of processing equipment, crossover and two amps which go into the main speakers and subs.
anything you know of thats kinda not expensive or need so many pieces like just an all in one speaker amp thing that is kinda portable like for just being with friends and messing around
If you're just going to be with a few friends using the Hercules Rmx, this is my portable practice setup: USB speakers from Altec Lansing (got them from Wal-Mart, powers off USB port and plugs into laptop or Rmx), if you want to use the Rmx as the audio source then you'll also need an RCA cable - Ground Loop Isolator from Radio Shack works, then you'll just need a female-to-female 1/8" to connect the speakers with the Ground Loop Isolator - whole thing is less than $40.
Why are these videos on you tube?? who do they help with no technical terms or equipment and how to properly use them? and, not once does she mention the difference between passive and active speakers. expertvillage is the expert of wrong and misleading information.
Agreed, this is not put in very good techincal terms that are easy to follow. This video should be 6 times it's length to give a basic knowledge. You need to take into account what your mixer is capeable of before adding a "monito" or "boothe" cab. You need to cover passive and active and the pros and cons also.
Is this the same DJ Shy?
