Tira is very difficult to play with at tournament level and is generally considered to be mid-tier at best. Last time I checked, people were still trying to figure out how to defeat broken-ass Hilde.

@H3c70rit0 : She changes from gloomy to jolly or jolly to gloomy when she is hit by the opponent, taunts, or hits herself with her hoop on purpose (I.E. 1:21). And as for the tip, learn how to perform "just" frames and guard impacts.
as far as i can see tira is a great op character, but relies too much in the dark stance, and it changes to light stance randomly (?), is there a particular reason why she changes stances randomly? is there a way to change stances on purpose, because i cant see it? and can i have a little tip to play this game? (because i suck hard) no need for XXL tips, but the "you must learn how to parry or deflect" sort of things

man I love to master characters but everyone puts directional imputs in universal notation,so it takes me hours to decipher them and then half the time the combos don't work
you need to do just frames, usually on gloomy side it only happens. to do that you need the press the direction of move 5 times to do so:
ex.
22222/ddddd B does 5 hits in just frame but normally itll do it 3 hits.
the rest of the moves that can be dine that way is 66/ff K, 22/dd B, 44/bb B, 66/ff A, 44/bb K. i may have missed some but just try to look around for the other ones.

I dunno the name in english... like, if the enemy is trying to attack you... and you stop him with an attack... in italian it is called "contromossa"] anyway... or just pushing two times the right arrow and then B [again, it must be a "contromossa" ;D]

I've been working with Tira for a little while now. This is just what I need to practice some awesome stuff using her gloomy side (which I don't that much sadly) But this sure gives me more reason to though. XD A couple of the combos I stumbled upon, like I just figured out how to use the gloomy side's uh... shiny attacks (o.O) not to long ago.
Tira's my favorite character. She's one those fighters where you have to master her other wise she's seriously handicapped. It helped me to think of jolly and gloomy as separate fighters, sorta like a tag team match. I never change jolly / gloomy manually. I just let her do it when she feels like it.
how do you do that attack where she knocks the enemy to the ground, jumps on him, starts spinning her blade around, and digs it into the enemy? i did it once my accident, but i cant figure out how to do it again
@XXkageromeruXX its called grim reaper in gloomy side hold bk and if your lucky the enemy will hit you just right then she will parry and do the grapple. its risky though because you have to leave your self open to attack and sometimes when she goes to grab the enemy she might not be close enough and the attack will fail. hope that helps ^.^
@professerAtu yes. she was hard to use in 3 (but easier than in 4) but once you new how to use her she was a killing machine. None of my friends could beat me when i used her nut now she's even harder to control and once i got all of her moves down i realized that she completely sucks now. but i do like the move where she stands ontop of you and cuts your throat i have to admit thats awesome.
i absolutley hate everything they did with her in 4. in 3 she was my favourite she had cool moves and costumes but now her hair looks like she hasnt bathed in years, her voice actor sucks, shes schizo, she either sucks or hurts herself, and i always get killed trying to change her fucking "personalities" >:(

The combo at 0:40 - 0:45 can end in a hammer strike, but I can't get her to do the lift in this game -much harder than SC3... it's not in the moves list either. How do you get the lift and the hammer strike?
As far as Tira's combos go these are really good. I mean she only has so many moves that can link together but a really great video.. Tira rocks!!! :D
I did it on rock, with tira on the cage level, the angle of where you are with the wall behind rock is important, I remember hitting it a bunch of times, but when i went back i couldn't get the 2A+B to connect, he falls too quick after the second wall hit...

My favorite character <3 along with Xianguah. Tira is so sweet, mad, funny, crazy, freaked out. It remembers me of the joker, or Quin (joker's companion)

Because these are simple 2 hit combos that everyone can do. I just don't see the point in uploading this video on Youtube. I don't want to be rude, but I have seen many combo videos of various SC IV characters that are really amazing and I see them do combos that over 50 % of SC IV players can't do.
It's to show what is guaranteed. The combos that do over 50% damage are shakable stun combos. I don't make combo videos for those types of combos because these videos are geared toward tournament players so that they know what is guaranteed damage since people who play in tournaments will most likely shake out of every stun.
The main objective of a combo video is to help other players. I´m not a Tira player, but i think that most of the combos (especially with just frames) are pretty difficult to perform. And this video can help many Tira players. As he said, you really miss the point man.

if you played the game you would know there isn't much more than this as far as guaranteed combos. Of course, unless you are looking for combos that can be shaken out of, and there's already plenty of vids like that on youtube. They might look impressive but if they don't work when you are playing the game with people who have an sense. Also, maybe you could post some links to tournament results where you have won or placed in the top 3? Then you will at least have credibility.

TRUE! Players can shake out of those combos, but not by the 2-3 first hits, which again equals to your combos. Your combos are only 2 hit combos. Usually people can't shake out of the second or third hit in an adcanced combo. So again my point stands tall: you will have better chances at inflicting more damage with advanced combos than with 2 hit combos.
sorry, this is not true. Your combos are going to be shaken 99% of the time. So what is the point of even trying the ones that will work 1% of the time... unless you are playing against other scrubs. These aren't "my" combos that I made up. These are the standard Tira BnB combos. If there's any that I missed, please post them up because I'm sure others here would love to continue to shoot you down your bullshit non-guaranteed combos.

Man...if you DON'T combo with Tira, you'll get your backside kicked by a good Seong Mi-Na or Mitsurugi..I guess the trick with her is to keep up the pressure and try not to allow a counterattack?
I main tira and i could say... you must keep attacking all the round with her, not allowing the opponent to even do something, she's pretty fast and has good combos, her problem is maybe... that she damages herself with the most powerful and good attacks, but this is nothing compared to what she can do in combat, plus, you must stay in a close range if you want to win. (this doesn't mean that you will lose the match, but it is a probability against long range attackers, obviously)
And i think that Tira is low tier, so is somewhat hard to win with her. Well i hope that i helped you in a way, after all i have like 30 winnings in tourneys in first place ;) i'm almost a pro at this game (the unique one that i'm really good at, SC series XD) see ya ;)

He's kidding himself if he thinks I'm just some random making bad combo vids, I was a pretty solid competitor in sc4 for a little while before I moved on to other games and the whole idea behind making these videos wasn't to try and show off but just to show what is possible in the game and as a reference for people trying to learn different characters without having to figure out everything for themselves.

In Soul Calibur 4 Tira is...nearly useless, I think.
It´s sad, in SC3 she was my main, but now in SC4, with her 2 different styles and her self-hurting attacks...it´s not my sweet Tira anymore! :-(

I actually have problems with JFs 66B, 44K and 44B (that came out randomly once, i think its only in CH)... even if i dont need 'em to kick ass someone... i want to learn how to...
Anyways... these combos are awesome! you must have very much time to play this game xD
P.D: I think tira looks better with a Gothic, Clown or Alike-a-Crow dress style.. but is just opinion...

Because these are simple 2 hit combos that everyone can do. I just don't see the point in uploading this video on Youtube. I don't want to be rude, but I have seen many combo videos of various SC IV characters that are really amazing and I see them do combos that over 50 % of SC IV players can't do.

It's to show what is guaranteed. The combos that do over 50% damage are shakable stun combos. I don't make combo videos for those types of combos because these videos are geared toward tournament players so that they know what is guaranteed damage since people who play in tournaments will most likely shake out of every stun.

The main objective of a combo video is to help other players. I´m not a Tira player, but i think that most of the combos (especially with just frames) are pretty difficult to perform. And this video can help many Tira players. As he said, you really miss the point man.

However I got disappointed, because these are primitive combos that most poeple can do. This doesn't help me at all. So no, I didn't miss the point.

if you played the game you would know there isn't much more than this as far as guaranteed combos. Of course, unless you are looking for combos that can be shaken out of, and there's already plenty of vids like that on youtube. They might look impressive but if they don't work when you are playing the game with people who have an sense. Also, maybe you could post some links to tournament results where you have won or placed in the top 3? Then you will at least have credibility.

TRUE! Players can shake out of those combos, but not by the 2-3 first hits, which again equals to your combos. Your combos are only 2 hit combos. Usually people can't shake out of the second or third hit in an adcanced combo. So again my point stands tall: you will have better chances at inflicting more damage with advanced combos than with 2 hit combos.

sorry, this is not true. Your combos are going to be shaken 99% of the time. So what is the point of even trying the ones that will work 1% of the time... unless you are playing against other scrubs. These aren't "my" combos that I made up. These are the standard Tira BnB combos. If there's any that I missed, please post them up because I'm sure others here would love to continue to shoot you down your bullshit non-guaranteed combos.

I'm not! I'm actually not a pro player. I can't do the most advanced combos either. However if I want to see a combo video on Youtube, then I want to see combos that are advanced and look great... not primitive combos that I can do easily.

Man...if you DON'T combo with Tira, you'll get your backside kicked by a good Seong Mi-Na or Mitsurugi..I guess the trick with her is to keep up the pressure and try not to allow a counterattack?

I main tira and i could say... you must keep attacking all the round with her, not allowing the opponent to even do something, she's pretty fast and has good combos, her problem is maybe... that she damages herself with the most powerful and good attacks, but this is nothing compared to what she can do in combat, plus, you must stay in a close range if you want to win. (this doesn't mean that you will lose the match, but it is a probability against long range attackers, obviously)

1:13 n 1:28 is 66666B so it will be EX or more powerful than 66B bec. the more direction u push the more powerful tira's GS exclusive moves become powerful

He's kidding himself if he thinks I'm just some random making bad combo vids, I was a pretty solid competitor in sc4 for a little while before I moved on to other games and the whole idea behind making these videos wasn't to try and show off but just to show what is possible in the game and as a reference for people trying to learn different characters without having to figure out everything for themselves.
