i can see why they never recorded a live album in the sixties, they were not that impressive outside of studio. One group that was VERY impressive live was Cream, check them out on live sides of Wheels of Fire!!! Clapton doing Crossroads, Jack Bruce doing Traintime on harmonica, and Ginger playing the hell out of the drums on Toad.
The one mic helps sync - but it was very unusual for John/Paul to be on the left side with George on the right (not sure I've seen that anywhere else in fact).
John wrote lyrics that were not redundant. Unfortunately, those subtle changes often tripped him up in live performances.
I have listened to these songs perhaps 10,000 time more than John ever did - and even today, I find myself occasionally forgetting which subtle lyric comes next. We love you John.
On October 9th we will all watch "Imagine" in honor of the greatest singer ever's birthday. Let's give him the best birthday present ever: the highest viewed video on YouTube!! Let's give him what he deserves and what JB does not deserve to have!
Copy and paste to all John lennon/beatles videos and all music videos let's get this noticed quickly!
I love the look John and Paul give to each other at 1:28. Listening to the audience going bat shit crazy must have given them the adrenaline rush of all time!
Here I sit at 60 years old listening to these songs and -it feels just like yesterday.I want to Thank The Beatles for being the biggest part of my life.
good to see the 1965 sullivan show performance agian. in 65 I watched it on an old general electric tv. enclosed in black sheet metal rather then wood, that sat on black rod iron legs, that allowed the set to swivel on a lazy susan setup. I got the rabbit ears ajusted just right for best reception just as the beatles, were introduced by ed. they were great just as you see here.what memories my generation has. wonderful wonderful times I would'nt trade!
@2012Grizz Lol they screwed up alot not just the lyrics the notes also, but it was because all the fans were screaming so if they screwed up you can hardly hear it
Greatest r@R band of all time, there is no dispute--bless you George and John

@Lubbylove89 it's because it's a perfect representation of the intimacy felt between John and Paul and the great music they provided the world with

John apparently took ampthetamines before going on stage according to Larry Kane's book Ticket to Ride.Thats why John has a funny look on his face.
