I'm listening to her cd on youtube...I like her sound but the only part I like is the production. Her voice isn't very strong, her producers should have went in a different direction. It sounds like Beyonce on a weaker day. Not that Solange sounds bad it's just the ear hears a watered down Beyonce. I just think they should have done something different with the vocals on this CD. I will say thank god they didn't put her on a pop record. Kudos for that

@jeterlover03 They're sisters and even when they talk, their voices are similar. That's the problem many people have though- comparing them... If you don't think of her as Beyonce's sister, don't even relate her to Beyonce, you'll be able to appreciate her a little more. Her sound is totally different. She doesn't want to sound like Beyonce. If you read her interviews,she actually wrote a lot of her own music and helped produce. She had a lot of control. She's not pop, she's not R&B. Just Soul.

If you notice when you read my comment I said I liked the sound(of her music), but I was talking vocally about her being a "water-down" Beyonce...sorry if you don't like my opinion, but that's what she sounds like to me. Man, I've been really sleeping on Solange. I've been listening to her cd, and her other songs, and she is really dope. I much rather listen to her than Beyonce.
