He isn't beating a calculator, he's beating the person typing. He needs to be shown a card with the problem on it at the same time the person on the calculator is hitting the equal sign. That would tell if he's beating the calculator, which I guarantee you, he's not.

the test they are doing isn't really accurate since they start typing the numbers in while the problem is being said, rather than having it typed in then pressing = after the problem is said. so they're really just testing the speed at which the kids can ender data on a calculator against Scott's brain. am I wrong on that? @bigweirdwigbeard actually he is, a calculator takes about a nano second to process the problem depending on the size of the calculation. Scott is processing at or faster than that, it just seems slow cause he has to vocalize his answer. for him to answer right after the problem is presented he would have to be calculating at about if not faster than a calculators processing speed adding in a nano second for the response to be sent from the brain to his vocal cords to answer.
