What did you use for the nucleus?

@123Skeletonkey used captain crunch... but really you could use any cereal and make it like a jumbo rice crispy treat when the marshmallows and cereal are still warm you just mold it into a round sphere like shape... then when it cools off you cut a wedge out of it to make it look like pac-man and i used laffy taffy for the atom inside... I also frosted the nucleus so it made it all colorful/artistic - I'm in college now and this project still gets hits at the beginning of the school yr :D

go for it!!! just basic cake mixes - a white icing (mom made mine) and then got creative with all the toppings - laffy taffy for the atom cause it balled up easy, then we did a captain crunch rice crispy like treat again we rolled it up to be the nucleuos then cut a piece out to look like pac man and iced it purple, then we used tons of candy - variations of sour punch things, twizzlers mike n ikes - nerds could have been good for the rhizomes... just go crazy!!!
