Yes, try running a non-exe program. They can't run exes. So forget any program that was not designed for mac. Also don't complain when hardware doesn't work for mac. They're fast because they don't run any services in the back round. They don't need anti viruses because not many people use mac enough that a person would actually make a virus.

well belive it or not windows 7 actually runs very well for a lot of people, most people dont need a mac, macs are good for video editing, i spent a year editing with final cut on a mac pro it was great, but for most consumers pc is the better option, majority cant afford to go out an pay 1199 for the baseline model

As for running nothing in the background, that's just plain bullshit. Try running an activity monitor or the command ps -e, there's a ton of shit being run behind your back. Beyond this, a lack of users is not the only thing contributing to the lack of viruses for Mac; the unix base also makes it hard

On the contrary, I got twice as much memory on my MAC than I would if I just walked out to a store and bought a PC off the shelves.

Also, you can install memory too, just like a PC so it's pretty customizable to how much you're willing to pay for.

Oh AND I'm using the external hard drives I had from my PC. Didn't have to format them or anything and they work fine!

The only advantage from windows is that you can run office smoothly and you get more games. OS X is starting to become compatible with a lot of programs now too, because if you know C++, then you'll easily catch on to Cocoa (Objective C). I love going my own way in computer use and in windows, why would i want to open windows photo gallery to view my photo? why not use an os built in program like preview? windows is just too much, that its annoying and disturbing.

@dave00075ie I'm running on a vista laptop, it is around 5 years old. I play WoW and it doesn't lag. I have had to get someone to fix the screen for this computer, and that's about it. My laptop hasn't come down with a virus causing my computer to crash. It runs Google Chrome fine and the UI is easy for me to use.  It doesn't meet my gaming needs but that's not what It's intended for. My gripe with this computer is the bad hardware associated with laptops, not the OS. Vista is perfectly fine.

Macs suck! They break easily and for some reason seem to slow down without any way of reversing. With Windows, you go to system defragment and disk cleanup and its back to new.

plus, most of Apple's software has a check-as-you-type error display. Safari has it, iChat has it, textedit and mail. That's just off the top of my head. Most 3rd party also integrates with this, too - Firefox, Adium, NeoOffice etc. So sorry, RaiKitsu, but Leopard does have it.
