  • Mako shark! :D

  • Smokedshark and French fries cll it a meal...

  • its a mako shark not a great white shark

  • WTF? Help it.

  • It's a salmon shark. The beaching thing is actually fairly common for them.

  • Its most likely a Salmon Shark. A newborn Great White would be bigger. Makos, great whites and salmon sharks are all in the same family and look similar

  • It will most likely be eaten by a bigger shark because of it's wound.

  • you should bring it home care for it and name him larry

  • Huh... I kinda wanna know how the thing tasted.

  • i dont think thats a great white...looks more like a mako or blue

  • awww poor thing

  • That wound is from a fishnet

  • Put a banage on it it has a boobooo =D

  • isn't that a massive gash in its side?

  • I hope you guys all know a shark has to be moving foward to breath , but it's good that it was put back in the water :)

  • Mako yes

  • yea ot looks alot like a mako

  • yeah its a seaman shark witha a vagina on its side

  • screw you guys, I swim in there!

  • I've been to morro bay

  • not a Great White, nor a Mako, it's actually a Salmon Shark

  • thass not a great whitee lmao

  • baby jaws

  • well done josh, it feels good to save a life doesnt it.

  • well done josh! that great white must be really happy now that you have saved him!

  • @GamingScumNz its not a mako

  • I like that he saved it. It doesnt matter if its not a Great White. Its still kinda cute ^^

But yeah. He is a good person to save that Shark.

  • Would have made tasty barbeque...oh well!

  • no offense but that kinda looks like a mako

  • hate to say this but chances are with it bleeding like that, another shark or predator probably ate it. But still better to give it a fighting chance than to let it die on the beach like that.

  • not a great white but a mako one

  • It's called a Porbeagle shark. You can tell by the white spot on the back of it's dorsal fin. They are related to Great whites and makos.

Good job on putting it back.

  • I hope he was ok after he was put in the water. But I bet that lil' shark will remember Josh for the rest of it's life

  • poor baby! hope it survived!

  • its got a nasty cut...... i dunno if its gonna live in the wild.... but god bless anyway.

  • Hello Josh,

What do you think about how big that shark is now because of you? You are a hero in your own right, and his right to live has been re-gifted thanks to you.

  • god bless you for saving the shark

  • are you only 8 years old? you were very brave...

  • why would u people be mean to an 8 year old...

  • suck my dick

  • awww so good of you to save it

  • T-Those eyes... Adorable!!! I've been watching baby shark vids all day and now i can't stop, too cute

  • As the Uploader Said, They Saved it, and it Swam away. If a Child with no experience with handling such animals made the effort. Then Thumbs up to him, He should be quite proud of himself. The animal was also injured prior to them saving it. so the effort was well worth it. Good Job Little man!

  • cool shark wonder how it got wounded

  • wow a ass its not a baby great white

  • @MrRuthlessharry *Kid who saved a shark. Now pray do tell what you did today?

  • Are you sure that isn't a salmon shark? they look very similar when they are just a few weeks old.

  • wow cool experience....good for you for making the effort to save her life...looked like a deep laceration on her but I am betting that healed juts fine.....what ever caused it probably forced her close to shore....every shark counts :)

  • JOSH YOU DID A VERY GOOD THING AND I APPLAUD YOU!!! KEEP LOVING NATURE AND IT WILL LOVE YOU BACK! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!THANK YOU FOR SHARING

  • @sealessnlv Nature does not love you back .

  • This salmon shark, how big do they get?

  • saving the wildlife you sould get a small medal

  • Ohhh that shark is soooo freaking cute! Did you see its baby eyes? Awwww poor thing got all cut up! ;D

  • its from the same family of shark, but that's a salmon shark folks......

  • @fulcrumlow

thank you, i was tired of being the expert.

  • Good for you,Josh, for saving the little shark's life without getting hurt yourself. We are all in a time when we need our sharks more than ever. The yearly global slaughter of sharks diminishes our shark populations- numbering in the millions. This is truly shameful since the ecological good health of many oceanic species depends on the proper balance of shark populations...

It's also a shame that you were exposed to some inappropriate comments which benefit nobody.

  • Great job!!! Sharks are critically endangered and saving this one (which appears to be female) is also saving another generation of sharks. Though it had a pretty deep laceration I think it survived because sharks heal from diseases and injuries very quickly. It's good to know I'm not the only one who cares about sharks. And for anyone who saw Sharkwater, Rob Stewart is awesome!!!

  • what's with all those youtuber posting nerd rage comment? what you think, we gonna listen to your craps? If i see a white shark on the beach like that im gonna kill it and cook it for dinner you nerd rage youtubers has problems with that? LOLLLLLLLLLLL. Just imagine all those rage comments people are mostly fat ugly shit face, no one give a damn AHAHAAH

  • Good job for saving precious fish!

  • Before everyone gets pissed off and leave negative comments, take the damn time to actually read.

  • Aww well let him read this comment, I wouldn't get close to a shark, he's a very very brave 8 year old :), good job Josh!

  • Yeah? Well, when you actually SEE one for yourself, (NOT on tv or in a book) perhaps then you will THINK before offering an evaluation that does nothing but highlight your ignorance. Dude.

  • Fkn help it!

  • Nice video and rescue, Josh. :]

  • poor shark was hurt. Good job with SAVING its life. tobad others cant read and give you those coments.

  • he was hit by a boat prepeller

  • yay for josh!!!

  • For all that people that say he is a bad person beacause he didn't save the shark, read the video description and say that again.

  • Good for you, Josh!! Bet it was exciting and scary at the same time :) We saw some guitarfish when we went to the beach a couple of weeks ago and I was scared of those! They were all over in the water and my boyfriend kept stepping on them by accident. Give your mom a hug for me.

  • congrats to the little boy who saved the shark. I think in the back of its brain(b/c in the front it will think about food and swimming) it will never forget the boy who saved it's life!!!!

  • i cant believe some of stupid fagest on you tube who only create account to bitch and complain on videos like this were they save the shark but also film it i just got here from another video were two dudes save a shark a guess what there were people like BudddyCpSimNASA who fucking complained on how they saved the fucking shark people like this are just whinny bitches who need to be lined up shot execution style

  • how did it get hurt?

  • @BudddyCpSimNASA

what were they gonna do give it a freaking bandaid?! Oh yeah and reply to this just so I know you've read another comment of mine. ^^ Most people would finish it off with a rock or shoot it or something or enjoy torturing it because human minds are so screwed up. Not many people help these animals because they loath their species. I for one think its awewsome that their are some people who are willing help these animals.

  • @BudddyCpSimNASA Read the description and you'll know that they saved the shark.

  • Good job!!! Don't listen to people on the Internet they just like to sound tuff. O.O it's eyes are so black!! Feels like it's looking into my soul haha

  • I can not believe some of you, my son had me post this video, he saved the sharks life and is very proud of himself. I used to let him view the comments but I have decided to put a stop to that since there are clearly some idiots on here that CANT READ and feel like they need to make negative remarks....I agree that it is a Salmon Shark and appreciete SOME of your input:)

  • @malnjosh Unfortunately, there will always be those who lack anything in the way of maturity or decency. It's a sad comment towards the failings of some parents who just didn't instill the values and morality that shape us to be the thinking, contributing, acceptable adults that we are supposed to be. The morons who post their regurgitated, uneducated drivel here are the same ones who grow up living on Govt. entitlement programs throughout their lives. They've no power, nor purchase.

  • @malnjosh bro its part of you tube dont let them troll u this will always happen

  • @malnjosh Don't worry about the idiots they don't worth even a second of your time!!Tell your Boy he did a Great Job saving that Shark and he should be very proud of himself!!!Some ppl shouldn't even be aloud to have a computer.Nice job with the Shrk but actually that's a Salmon Shark.Great white are bigger(when they are babies)and they have a much lighter colour on the back while the're juvenile .Thanx for the great video. And screw the haters Peace

  • @malnjosh

    Blocking comments is easier.

  • @malnjosh Your son has compassion and you should be very proud of him.

  • douches they did save the god damn shark so leave the kid alone

  • Shark : when I grow up I will eat you

  • This is a Salmon Shark......

  • READ THE DESCRIPTION PEOPLE.

  • Wild animals can survive terrible traumas. That cut is not an issue with a shark of that size. I am willing to bet he was just in shock from the accident and became confused. If it would have washed up on a deserted beach it would have died. If you ever want the fish out of water experience just have someone hold you down with a plastic bag over your head. It's all fun and games until you realize the bag isn't coming off

  • I would kill for an opportunity like that. It's a very beautiful animal

  • and in ten to seventeen years he/she will come back and thank you

  • @SuperOwnage14 my name is Josh, I am 8 years old and I saved that shark. I dont think you are very nice.

  • @malnjosh 8 year's old? Say's 34 on your profile lol

  • @malnjosh hey dont feel bad this guy giving u a hard time hes pretty stupid

  • hey dude dont feel bad the guy giving u a hard time is an idiot anyway

  • @malnjosh Pay no attention to him Josh, he's just a tough talking internet warrior. You did a great thing in saving that shark, good little man!!

  • @malnjosh You did a fine job, you cant exactly throw them back in anyway you need to help it start breathing again in shallow water and then slowly guide it off the shore.

  • @malnjosh nice one josh! you done a nice thing here

  • @SuperOwnage14 hey leave the kid alone

  • @SuperOwnage14

And let it grow up and eat you

  • @SuperOwnage14 fuck you!

  • @SuperOwnage14 You're a true douchebag you know that? It's people like you that ruin the repuation of humanity.

  • @SuperOwnage14 you are an idiot....

  • @SuperOwnage14 You're the fucking asshole. I hope you rot in hell.

  • @SuperOwnage14 Does your username relate to all the superowning that happens to you?

  • 1) salmon shark 2) it washed up on shore because it's dying. it happens.

  • that's a salmon shark

  • @casonpunk96 , THEY DID SAVE IT BY PUTTING IT BACK INTO THE WATER

  • @malnjosh Oh ok ;)

  • @casonpunk96 i dont think it whould have survived it probably got hit ny a boat and thats why there is a huge gash on its side.

  • @casonpunk96 fucker!

  • @hunterguy908 u mad bro? whats the matter wit u?

  • @casonpunk96 bitch

  • @casonpunk96 your a apsolute idiot did or did the little boy save the shark yes and he isa hero for that they filmed it for 40 secons sharks can e out of water without dying for 1 hour + so 40 secondsisnt muchcompored to the extra 40 years little josh gave the shark to live!!!

  • Yes this is a Salmon Shark, Porbeagles are not found off the California coastline

  • cute xD

  • Looks like a porbeagle... Look at how large the eye is.

  • not a great white its a porbeagle

  • @motocrossmark400 There are no porbeagles in the (north) Pacific. Most likely a Salmon shark. Of course, they look very much like porbeagles.

  • I'd say it's a Salmon Shark. They are pretty common.

  • It's Hurt

  • beautiful animal. i hope it lived.

  • He has a boo-boo.

  • Roll it in cornmeal & fry it up right!

  • how do you know that's not a great white?

  • That's a Salmon shark. Not a White.

  • @BradJC70

But you could understand how easy it is to mistake it for a white. Mind you the biggest give away is the rounded dorsal fin which is quite distinct.

  • @BradJC70 actually i think its a porbeagle because ofr tht white part at the back of the dorsaal..... i think porbeagles swim near cali dont they

  • @BradJC70 no chance. white pointer all the way dude.

  • Instead of filming, would it have made sense to bring the shark back to the water?

  • They did
