Taylor Momsen aside, her music is actually pretty good. The writing can be iffy, but she has good range and great drawl, and not to mention that her stuff is actually quite lyrical--not to mention that she can sing live, unlike Miss Cyrus.

Had she auditioned for the roll of Cherie Currie in "The Runaways," I think it would've completely blown me away as well.

Just hope that for her she does it for the music and doesn't allow herself to get swindled by fame as well. This music is great, I love Taylor momsen already for the way she portrays Jenny in GG. However, a band has to start somewhere, I think this has it's own individual style to which there are hints of other bands, but each band has inspirations from other artists. The difference is that Taylor has always been dressing like this for while. Taylor is a model. Taylor has less girls under the age of 12 following her around unlike miley who is a role model to a lot of younger girls. So I don't think I'm being hyprcritical when I saw what I'm saying. The last I heard, Perez took a veiling photo of miley like last week....Taylor on the other hand isn't getting caught in awkward positions.

No one asked Taylor to be a role model. Miley already set up her image of being a role model once she got involved with disney. Plus Miley is musically more popular there than The Pretty Reckless at this point. Now as for what will happen later if uncertain. But, I feel like children couldn't relate to Taylor like they could Miley because like you said, Taylor refuses to be a role model.

This music is great, I love Taylor momsen already for the way she portrays Jenny in GG. However, a band has to start somewhere, I think this has it's own individual style to which there are hints of other bands, but each band has inspirations from other artists. Good Luck to her, I say; she's only my age and has already done so much yet remains down to earth.
BTW, I'm addicted to this song <3
