@1BYEBYE1 I have NO graphic card, Phenom x4 overed to 3.7, and TA890GXE NB that is also watercoled. I have 2*120mm rad that is cooled only with ONE 120mm fan. This fan runs about 800RPM. @1BYEBYE1 Surely agree that 480 is really hot chip. BUT! My CPU is overclocked. Also My pump is not highflow. It make sense. If it's still doesn't make for you, USE MATH! The one thing i dont like about cyberpower and ibuypower from what i seen is they put there logo on the case WTF! dude come on that ruins a good case.
wait a min where can u pit your sound blaster card on that motherboard? i wanned this motherboard looks awsome but there isent a sound card slot on the thing so....
@6psycho9 no, I didn't have to. haha I added a second 200mm fan and have the 360mm rad under it, with 3x120mm fans below the rad, and it works fine, I have my cpu oc'd to 4.0ghz and my gtx 480 on the one loop and they idle at 35c idle and go up to 42c under full load
@unokilo321 well it depended if you were gonna push pull with 120mm fans. Yea thats good temps. What rad are you using? I just got xspc 360 and my final purchase would be reservoir and tube and I'll be good to go
@6psycho9 rgr, yeah I was thinking about doing a push/pull with it, I bought six fans for it. but the way it's set up, I don't know how it would work. the rad i'm using is the mcr320, I also added a single mcr120 on the back exhaust to try and lower temps but it didn't help, it's usually -5 here now so the heats always on full blast which is lame and causes my temps to go up.
@unokilo321 ah that sucks, yeah I heard adding another rad really doesn't help temps but you should show a video of yours. I got a video of my Haf X and will update it as soon as I finish getting all my WC parts together
@ the retards saying this chassis sucks - Maybe for you it sucks... doesn't mean everyone else will like the gay lian li cases that do nothing more than sit on your table with *ahem* aesthetics *cough* coz it's cooling and airflow system is crap... Coolermaster always made good stuff and will continue to make them! AND PEOPLE RATE THIS CASE HIGH BECAUSE IT'S JUST THAT AWESOME AND FUCKING BIG!!
@HallfinG2080 LoL ...you say Lian Li is just for aesthetics...dude if you were a TRUE CASE MODDER wouldnt YOU as a modder add better cooling fans? mod the case?? use water cooling??? etc etc...why the F would Lian Li's poor interior cooling really matter if you did all that??? durr...dumb shit. Ive seen a video of a guy who added 4 x 140mm radiator to the front of a lian li full tower case and it's looks killed this HAF ugly piece of crap...
Coz i don't want to bust my nut modding a stupid piece of shit case for it to work better... when I have better and friendly cases available on the market to work with in the first place, you retard... maybe you like to put a thousand holes into your case... But If I did then Mountain Mods* is always available... fucking douchebag
@HallfinG2080 oh yes...and another thing...ever been to million dollar pc website??? ever noticed that the best modded pcs of all time have been lian li's???? oh gee there must be a reason why huh????
@iamthewizard2 Just because some people like to mod for the looks doesn't mean everybody else have to do it too, learn the difference between opinions here to begin with... and 70% of the people normally don't mod at all... because most of the time it's just perks and brag rights and nothing more. I use my time configuring OCs and Adding top notch Parts... *sigh*
why oh why do so many people buy and rate highly the HAF cases???? if you had any class at all you'd realise how ugly they really are. compare the aesthetics of HAF cases to Lian Li and youll know the difference between cheap and classy
@iamthewizard2 I have a lian li case too. Lian li makes great quality cases, but it is mostly on the looks over functionality. I gave up my P50 case because of the maintenance hassle and cooling. Now i use an Antec 300, and it is easier to maintain, cools much better, and quieter. The Haf x does not look too bad compared to the 932. The original was too ugly for me.
@GreenyPoop yeah i gotta admit you have a point there. the functionality of the lian li cases arent as good even though they have killer looks. ive overcome the functionality side of the lian li by mostly modding the lian li's to suit my needs ;D
This is the first I have seen of water cooling mounted on the top of a Haf x...Was any special bracket necessary. I'm waiting for my swiftech watercooling system, and really want a Haf X, the only thing stopping me is the fact I dont think the Rad can be mounted up top! Please if anyone can let me know about this ASAP I would be so greatful! :)
@TheNotoriousGamer Hey mate, thanks for the reply! Yeah I got it! :) It's fantastic, and have a installed my first watercooling system too...awesome. You were right about it being amazing. THere are so many great, and huge cases out there, but none come close to the airflow in these cases. Not by a long shot!
@ppfriggen It depends on the fin design and the fan power as well but yeh if your water cooling CPU and GPU's, it's best to have another radiator, 120mm in my opinion that cools heat from CPU then goes to GPU's then to reservoir and so on...
I have a question. Does this case come with an external 3.5" Drive Bay front bezel, so you can convert a 5.25" Drive Bay into a 3.5" Drive Bay and put a card reader in it, etc? Like the Antec 1200 did? If it does let me know, or if I can buy one separately for it from Cooler Master. Message me if you know the answer, thanks.
@daddydanne27 Thank you, but I found out the answer about two weeks ago. Also you can make it have it, by buying a part I have bookmarked. I should have said that I found the answer, but now you know.
@cyberpowerpcinc great video guys, and thanks for the upload, I was planning on upgrading my case and switching to a bigger radiator for my loop, and I think i'll borrow your idea on routing the tubing from the video cards up behind the mobo tray to the res. it makes it look super clean, when I get around to it i'll upload a video and added it as a response if that's ok with you guys. :)
he clearly said you could fit a 360 rad in the top.... it has a 230mm blowing air in through the front, a 200mm on the side both front and side have duct's blowing air right over the cards, a 140mm blowing any hot air out the back.... and on the rad they mounted two 120mm fans, on the top of the case there are two 200mm fans all four exhausting air out with a push pull config on the radiator. that's seven fans... four of which are 200mm or bigger, I can't really see it getting too hot.......
I like my 932 more. I think the option for fans is better on the 932, 4x 120MM on side, where here on the X only a 200MM. I think the 932 cools better, because all the fans are bigger on it. The black painted inside is only better IMO, but you can paint it yourself too ofcourse. So I won't upgrade to the X, because the 932 looks, and cools better I think.
You know why they got a 240mm its because of the large res and the fact they cant move the res down as there 2 dvd drives and the hot swap bays that's really bad feature that no ones picked up on.
I like to see you go quad sli, with 980x, all OCed. with only that 240 rad for cooling... Seriously, since going tri sli and i7 980x, why not spend more on cooling? gl.
Cooler Master ATCS 840 is still better than CM HAF-X because the dimension size is a little big to fit in Longer Video Cards. E.G. If there's 14" or 15" Long Video card, it'll fit in CM ATCS 840, but not CM HAF-X since it only supports up to 13.46" Long Video Card.
@rebourne783 I have an ATCS 840 and I'm going to upgrade to an HAF-X. The ATCS 840 has the advantage of larger size, two PSU mounts, an aluminum construction and a removable motherboard tray. It is also available in two colors. I modded mine - I'm running twelve case fans. So why am I going to "upgrade"? Well the HAF-X has better cable management, even better airflow potential, hot swap bays, easily removable top/front panels, fan LED button, etc. The ATCS 840's side panels bend a bit.
Dude you guys failed hard on the cooling. WHY WHY WHY have hardware that nice and only use a SINGLE 240 rad to cool it? That is mind boggling, you guys are supposed to know what you're doing.
@cintrik Because they are cooling 3x GTX 480s and a 980x cpu on a single 240 rad. which is no where near enough cooling for that kind of set up. They should have a separate loop with at least a 360 rad for just those 480s and a second loop for the CPU. The amount of heat produced by the 480s is unreal. If they stressed that system at stock settings it would get pretty damn hot, leaving no room for any overclocking at all.
@jlebesis I wouldn't even consider it average its less than average. A single 240 radiator is not enough to cool 3 Fermi cards and a 980x. They should have used a 360 rad just for the video cards. And then another 360 or 240 for the CPU. GTX 480s produce TONS of heat and it takes a lot to cool them. I honestly think they would have better temps by air cooling everything instead of relying on that one Rad to cool everything.
@ProtectionDirect Thanks for taking the time to reply..Sorry Im such a noob to watercooling! I understand now what you mean. I wasn't sure at first what double or triple rad meant, then it hit me. A single rad is nuts on this. I just put in my first ever Swiftech kit (H20-220) with a double rad, dual 120's. Temps are great (i7 950 @ 4.5Ghz) And I'm already going to upgrade to a triple rad which the Haf X is designed to take! Can't wait!
@eppopipe Def not the only one. I was pretty screaming at the screen when I saw how they set up the cooling. I couldn't even pay attention to the rest of the video it bugged me so much. I would love to see the temps on full load under STOCK settings. I cant imagine it's pretty. I use 2x 360 to cool the same minus a 480
Extremely ugly case, but it's what's on the inside that counts. And it certainly has room for upgradability. Will definitely consider when I buy my new Cyberpower PC next year!
I know that's one hell alot of heat in that one watercooled setup and i don't know anything about watercooling but i don't think this will grant better temperatures than air cooling.
Nice features but ugly as hell.. 932 was much better looking.. also a 240 rad for cpu and 3 480s??? are you insane?? your going to cook everything!!!!
wow I like the features but this case is so ugly.. 932 was much better.. CP you guys did a nice job on this build.. better layout than your normal rigs!
@VermilIlion Yeah, I saw the video...And maybe it is enough, but I am still skeptical...
Sorry, but I've been looking around quite a bit as I have a similar build coming up and I just want to make sure before I tell someone it's going to be fine. It seems to me that everyone is running 2 PSU to power a 980 4-480's 12GB ram 2 WC pumps.ect
Anyway I would like to see not only the CPU OC' but the ram and GPU's and see if it changes the pwr consumption. And if he's going to stay with air pretty dumb
how the hell can you run a processor, 4 graphics cards all on a 2, 120mm rad??? What are your temps???

he clearly said you could fit a 360 rad in the top.... it has a 230mm blowing air in through the front, a 200mm on the side both front and side have duct's blowing air right over the cards, a 140mm blowing any hot air out the back.... and on the rad they mounted two 120mm fans, on the top of the case there are two 200mm fans all four exhausting air out with a push pull config on the radiator. that's seven fans... four of which are 200mm or bigger, I can't really see it getting too hot.......
unokilo321 1 year ago
I like my 932 more. I think the option for fans is better on the 932, 4x 120MM on side, where here on the X only a 200MM. I think the 932 cools better, because all the fans are bigger on it. The black painted inside is only better IMO, but you can paint it yourself too ofcourse. So I won't upgrade to the X, because the 932 looks, and cools better I think.
BoseATI 1 year ago
@BoseATI Actually if you think about it it is better because:
A. It has room for a second 200mm fan a the top greatly improving exhaust from the case allowing the hot air to escape quicker.
B. The side fan has a duct on it to direct air right to the gfx cards cooling them better.
C. there is a duct to direct the intake from the front of the case over the gfx cards for even more cooling.
D. The graphics support device can have an 80mm fan put on it
E. It supports xl-atx for 4 way sli/xfire

You know why they got a 240mm its because of the large res and the fact they cant move the res down as there 2 dvd drives and the hot swap bays that's really bad feature that no ones picked up on.

I like to see you go quad sli, with 980x, all OCed. with only that 240 rad for cooling... Seriously, since going tri sli and i7 980x, why not spend more on cooling? gl.
Rion83 1 year ago
It blew me away that you got the CPU and THREE GTX480s on a single 240 rad.
please tell show us the temps at idle/load, because that's just unbelievable.

Cooler Master ATCS 840 is still better than CM HAF-X because the dimension size is a little big to fit in Longer Video Cards. E.G. If there's 14" or 15" Long Video card, it'll fit in CM ATCS 840, but not CM HAF-X since it only supports up to 13.46" Long Video Card.
rebourne783 1 year ago
@rebourne783 I have an ATCS 840 and I'm going to upgrade to an HAF-X. The ATCS 840 has the advantage of larger size, two PSU mounts, an aluminum construction and a removable motherboard tray. It is also available in two colors. I modded mine - I'm running twelve case fans. So why am I going to "upgrade"? Well the HAF-X has better cable management, even better airflow potential, hot swap bays, easily removable top/front panels, fan LED button, etc. The ATCS 840's side panels bend a bit.

3 GTX 480's on a... 22" monitor? AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA wahat a flippin waste.
Lovely case though and everything inside it must have cost a ridiculous amount.

@Johny40Se7en well at least ull get like 150 frames in crysis lol

Dude you guys failed hard on the cooling. WHY WHY WHY have hardware that nice and only use a SINGLE 240 rad to cool it? That is mind boggling, you guys are supposed to know what you're doing.
Thumbs up if you think their cooling is bunk
ProtectionDirect 1 year ago 138
@ProtectionDirect the system has water cooling....how is that a fail??
cintrik 1 year ago
@cintrik Because they are cooling 3x GTX 480s and a 980x cpu on a single 240 rad. which is no where near enough cooling for that kind of set up. They should have a separate loop with at least a 360 rad for just those 480s and a second loop for the CPU. The amount of heat produced by the 480s is unreal. If they stressed that system at stock settings it would get pretty damn hot, leaving no room for any overclocking at all.
ProtectionDirect 1 year ago
@ProtectionDirect oh ok, thanks for explaining. Ive never installed 3x video cards but I know video cards do get very hot.
cintrik 1 year ago
@ProtectionDirect the cpu water block is also completely shit

@ProtectionDirect
Um dude if you would know anything you would know that hardrives work peak performance @ higher temps, they slow on less heat.
TRclown 1 year ago
@ProtectionDirect Why is this cooling so average? What's wrong with just one rad? Im bit new to watercooling so your feedback would be appreciated :)
jlebesis 1 year ago
@jlebesis I wouldn't even consider it average its less than average. A single 240 radiator is not enough to cool 3 Fermi cards and a 980x. They should have used a 360 rad just for the video cards. And then another 360 or 240 for the CPU. GTX 480s produce TONS of heat and it takes a lot to cool them. I honestly think they would have better temps by air cooling everything instead of relying on that one Rad to cool everything.
ProtectionDirect 1 year ago
@ProtectionDirect Thanks for taking the time to reply..Sorry Im such a noob to watercooling! I understand now what you mean. I wasn't sure at first what double or triple rad meant, then it hit me. A single rad is nuts on this. I just put in my first ever Swiftech kit (H20-220) with a double rad, dual 120's. Temps are great (i7 950 @ 4.5Ghz) And I'm already going to upgrade to a triple rad which the Haf X is designed to take! Can't wait!

Am I the only one who thinks that a single 240 rad will not cool a i7 and 3x480s?
I have three 360 rads to cool the same.
eppopipe 1 year ago
@eppopipe Def not the only one. I was pretty screaming at the screen when I saw how they set up the cooling. I couldn't even pay attention to the rest of the video it bugged me so much. I would love to see the temps on full load under STOCK settings. I cant imagine it's pretty. I use 2x 360 to cool the same minus a 480
ProtectionDirect 1 year ago
Extremely ugly case, but it's what's on the inside that counts. And it certainly has room for upgradability. Will definitely consider when I buy my new Cyberpower PC next year!
chronocream 1 year ago
I know that's one hell alot of heat in that one watercooled setup and i don't know anything about watercooling but i don't think this will grant better temperatures than air cooling.

wow that case its huge.

Good job bro,
so much space in there and such a good airflow which im interested on.
Wish it looked somehow like the antec or the 800d though :/

Nice features but ugly as hell.. 932 was much better looking.. also a 240 rad for cpu and 3 480s??? are you insane?? your going to cook everything!!!!
zoop425 1 year ago
wow I like the features but this case is so ugly.. 932 was much better.. CP you guys did a nice job on this build.. better layout than your normal rigs!
zoop425 1 year ago
so this is their answer to the 800d case. need better cable mang.

I wonder how the noise is on this case even with his water cooling.

very nice case i really like it,
Mupp1t 1 year ago
That is one ugly case IMO....and do you think that is enough pwr to run 480's in 3way SLI?
WestCoastMods 1 year ago
@WestCoastMods Definately enough
MrHJPlayer 1 year ago
@WestCoastMods I would be more concerned about a 240 Rad for an i7 + 3 480's.
NCIX have a video with 4 way-480 SLI w/ 980x, and a Silverstone Strider 1500w(80 Plus silver) and it pulls 1000-1100 from the wall.
VermilIlion 1 year ago
@VermilIlion Yeah, I saw the video...And maybe it is enough, but I am still skeptical...
Sorry, but I've been looking around quite a bit as I have a similar build coming up and I just want to make sure before I tell someone it's going to be fine. It seems to me that everyone is running 2 PSU to power a 980 4-480's 12GB ram 2 WC pumps.ect
Anyway I would like to see not only the CPU OC' but the ram and GPU's and see if it changes the pwr consumption. And if he's going to stay with air pretty dumb
