  • @THEevtwan modern day Nas: Nas

  • @THEevtwan you only say that about Elzhi just because of the Elmatic tape. I really don't think he sounds like him.

  • @dougmac1001 I think that Elzhi's delivery is kinda similar to Nas', honestly. I agree he doesnt really sound like him though.

  • @THEevtwan I hope he would kind of sound like him, seeing ow he's re-doing the entire Illlmatic lol

  • @MisterJimbo101 This beat is originally from 'Common- Love is', it's produced by J Dilla. I hope that helps.

  • @CoDPerformanceHD

but krs one has a big ass nose

  • Kendrick Lamar, j cole, big k.r.i.t. & jay electronica are the future. I like where rap is going.

  • @LucasgEntertainment j cole is kind of following drakes direction. not sure bout him tbh, but jay 4 sure

  • DILLA

  • honestly I love this song but the girl singing and calling Jay hot has nothing to do with his verse LMAO

  • j cole nor this nigga is kendricks level.

  • @ThaSubzstance have you listen to all of jay electronica ..obviously not with this statement....and im a huge Kendrick fan but you have to give credit where credit is due...both are on the same level but i agree that j cole is not quite up with these two heavyweights

  • @ademilker lol, im sorry i wud like to agree with you because i like J elec, his style is rugged and old school but kendrick is the future, and YOU have probly never hurd the kendrick lamar EP, because we would not be having this discussion.

  • ASAP ROCKY>JAY ELECTRONICA

  • this niggas homies with nas, post this nigga on ur facebook tumbler twitter whatever this fool needs to BLOW UP!, this is the FUTURE of RAP

  • Plz some one help me get an instrumental to this!! best instrumental ive EVER heard... EVER!!! D:

  • @NintendoTillDeath It's not even his song....Love Is - Common produced by the one and only Jay Dee

  • @NintendoTillDeath how do you know this song and dont know j dilla? He is embodies music.

  • smh 36 ppl dont noe whats real hip hop fuck yung money! Roc Nation all day!

  • thank god some ppl out there are saving hip hop... i fuckin hate big SEAN

  • right when i heard the Matrix sample i knew this was gonna be a great song

  • Jay Electronica is the future.

  • This is the song that's supposedly better than Common's "Love Is"? I'm sorry, but it's not.

  • "creepin' on the come up"

  • Matrix sample at the beginning, but you knew that already, didn't you?

  • He Reminds Me Of Mos Def.

  • Love Is anyone?

  • I've ot a real challenge to all you hiphop heads!. Im lookin for some rare shit i had someone stole the cd and m computer friend... its a 9-10min super freestyle that covers many many many topics has 2-3 people and the only line i can remember from it is "wile the blackteria goes stronger' theres themes of space among other heavy type things if you can put me on thsi id e eternally greatful and a friend.

  • The content of this verse just doesn't resonate with this soulful, emotional beat. Don't get me wrong, it's super lyrical, but it just seems off. No way he outclassed Common.

Also, all of you that think Jay Elec is the rightful heir to Nas have clearly never heard of Elzhi...lyrically, no is one touching him right now. Listen to Memory Lane, Colors, D.E.M.O.N.S., Guessing Game, and his verse on the Detroit Verbal Intercourse. Then come back and thank me.

  • @thamidwestmob couldn't agree with you any more..

  • @thamidwestmob respect that (had already heard of ELzhi, and thought Jay was better). Jay is just on that next spiritual flex, after all its that black eloheim annunaki rap. No one spits like Jay, that's why he's my top lyricist atm

  • @thamidwestmob and top artist atm, he just does it so differently, its unexplainable. peace

  • @thamidwestmob LOL at this guy who thinks Elzhi is better than Jay Elec.

  • "You reppin that dirty south dog? Aight, MY nigga!"

  • kendick, jay, and jcole are the top period.

  • @frome2uful you just forgot blu&exile

  • @frome2uful You forgot eLZhi.

  • @frome2uful j.cole is too mainstream now. Replace that ish with Blu

  • @frome2uful Elzhi is lyrically on top of the game right now with Royce da 59, Joe Budden, Phonte, Blu... Kendrick is up there too... J Cole is hip-hop's biggest dissapointment right now... and Jay Electronica needs to put out more shit, even thought he does show that he got what it takes to be on top...

  • @MUZIKis4lyfe if you think j.cole is a dissapointment you are plain ignorant or youre a snob who hates cuz people love j.cole...you decide what you wanna be

  • @bahouse7 u gonna cry over it? his album put me to sleep..in other words it was ass... his mixtapes where way better... plus J Cole cant go a song without saying a corny ass line like "i let you bet the shit but i bet you cant out fart me" if you like that then hey do you..at least i take the time to listen to him and many other talented hiphop artists.. alright so dont cry over it

  • @MUZIKis4lyfe lol okay i can tryn wipe my tears now.

  • @bahouse7 lmao

  • @frome2uful jcole sucks

  • @PureL0gic your a fucking dumbass for even typing that.

  • @frome2uful dont forget about KRIT too homie

  • @frome2uful shady 2.0

  • @frome2uful The Left, listen to The Left and you will be amazed...

  • @frome2uful Those 2 don't even deserve to stand in Jay Electronica's shadow

  • "my gandmother wont leave the fucking projects" lol. Jay E > jay Z

  • @No1EvrRelyDies Come on man...I mean he's nice, but that's sacrilege. He hasn't even released an album yet. Jigga is the greatest to ever pick up a mic. Period.

  • @thamidwestmob no he is not. im not a hater i wont say he sucks but jay z is not teaching us anything.. jay E is food for the soul. he can inspire and make ppl think outside the box or futher than they have been. jay z just dosent do it for me. Jay - E is hip-hop Jay -z raps..

  • and u mentioned a album. no1 cares about albums. look at my name. NO1 EVER REALLY DIES.. JAY-E's words will live forever.

  • @thamidwestmob lol. Anyone who really belives Jay Z is the best ever needs backhanded with Slick Ricks 4 finger ring. Jay Elect would eat Jigga in 8 bars. The Game tore Jigga a new ass summer 09. After Reasonable Doubt he had songs, thats it. Pacs All Eyez on Me is better than Jiggas whole discography. Greatest to ever pick up mic? This cat aint even the best out his fuckin neighborhood.

  • He reminds me of Nas... BIG UPS DUDE!!!

  • SO when's the album droppin'?

  • J Dilla ladies and gentleman.

  • gold from dilla as usual

  • Too deep Jay...you too deep.

  • Jay Elect is One of the Deepest Nigga out...

Nas Got Jay Elect in that Category Nas is the Greatest of All Time.. Jay Elect comes next.. Not Biggie, Not Pac... Jay Elect and Nas Are Prophets and Deciples of God.. These two Nigga Rap the Gospel in ways that almost everyone of us can Relate,,, not just Gangstas.. and J. Cole is on his way up there if he go back to his Mixtape ways.. the Album was kinda upsetting but Cole is still my Fave.

  • the word SWAG killed HIP HOP

  • Matrix it's too obvious

  • anyone know what's sampled in the intro?

  • @eswagmoen matrix

  • the begginigns the matrix?

  • @TheAkiTv that's the dumbest shit I've ever heard...you do realize jay elect is signed to the roc, right?

  • Isn't odd that there are 34 dislikes, and that's the same age as that illuminati person Kanye West! Hip hop is on the rise.

  • @TheAkiTv Lmao.. Wtf are you talking About? What was the Moral of that Comment?

  • @0xd34dx0 It's the contrast of the two genres you fool! Don't be searching for comments to hate. Get a life

  • @TheAkiTv What the Fuck did the Illuminati has to do with anything

Prick?.. and Stop Searching on Youtube whos in it.. if u think Kanye in it.. your obviously Ignorant of what the Illuminati is.. Get a Life

  • @0xd34dx0 Who said I was searching youtube. Something you do probably. At least I know enough words to not have to swear. Just go to sleep, you're obviously tired. Don't make me embarass you!

  • @TheAkiTv Lml?? Embarrass me?.. You say that like You can lmao..

  • @0xd34dx0 Im gonna have to be the mature person and end this.

  • @TheAkiTv Lml.. If that what makes u feel mature

  • @0xd34dx0 Please shut up now

  • I honestly haven't been able to stop listening to this. This might be IMO, jay's best song. Infact, I think he did justice to this beat better than common.

  • sounds a bit like a black milk beat, good tune tho

  • @VOFS its a dilla beat

  • @VOFS black milk used Dilla beats. This is a Dilla beat. there ya go.

  • needs to collab wiff nas

  • thumbs up for thumbs up...........cause it'll make my life complete

  • HE A ST. AUG GRAD

  • ***ATTENTION***

If Just one person reads this it'll make my day

I'm a 17 year old rapper from Texas People write this stuff all the time but im Guaranteeing you I'll be the one you'll be happy you listened to

I'm Versatile and have many different sounding songs. If ONE PERSON could just give this a thumbs up, you'll be one step to helping a young talented kid's dream come true I'm different from the others

I promise you won't be disappointed Just give me a chance and 3 minutes

  • Thank You to the Hip-Hop Gods for bringing Jay Elect.

  • I'm from Baton Rouge too, much respect, Louisiana's true artists.

  • Rest in power Jay Dilla - without you half these cats wouldn't be in the game.

  • go on my page to check out Jay Electronica's new song with Mobb Deep "Call of Duty" It's two of the best lyricists and concious rappers coming together. Dope.

  • yo jay...im from baton rouge ,just wanted to show you my skillz....no diss...just tryna get on ya know....thx...one love (poe)

  • Kendrick Lamar jay electronica :)

  • @SnoopDiZzYKJ69 heard about that, can't fucking wait! #realhiphopontherise

  • @TheFlygerian So it's probably not my place to judge Jay Z, but none of his songs that I have heard (so far) has blown me away. But I will listen to Reasonable Doubt within the next week now that you've asked. Got any other suggestions from his other albums?

  • @AlphaAccount Blueprint album is dope too. But Reasonable Doubt is his best work by far

  • @TheFlygerian nope, I've actually only listened to individual songs, I've never really sat down to listen to any of Jay Z's albums. I'm the same way with Kanye. I know for a fact that their early stuff was pretty great, but within the last 5-ish years, their quality has gone down. I didn't start REALLY listening to rap until about 2 years ago. I never really took an interest in the big rappers, so I never got around to listening to their stuff (I know I should).

  • #JUSTBLAZEPUMPPUMPITUP

  • EUPHORIC

  • @yoshful Cole is the best rapper out right now. SO SHUT up thanks. Listen to all of J.coles mixtapes and then slam ur head against a fork. THANKS. dnt bother by replying "cause i dnt got time to respond to niggas"

  • @80017700 Man shut the fuck up, J cole is average as fuck. Real lyricists are people like Blu & Jay Elec

  • @Leezo2k10 wow average? KILL URSELF BRO PLEASE U FUCKEN PUSSY BOY

  • @80017700 He is tho, he said "you cant outfart me" on cole world, if that aint weak, then idk what is nigga

  • Jay Electronica is one of my favorite rappers cannot wait for his album if it ever comes out I have not been dissappointed in any of my new up and comers Kendrick lamar - Section 80, Jae Apollo - A Night at the Apollo, and J Cole - Cole World

  • @topdog90U And if you have sat down and listened to his stuff, he wants fame and respect so he can get his message out. Underground rappers are more concerned with their content, which is why they don't sign with labels that could distort their words. And they sacrifice money to maintain creative control. I'm not saying that he doesn't want money, he was homeless, but he's not after it like a mainstream rapper would be. He's not as materialistic as most people, hence the enlightment.

  • If you like thisyou should listen to team freestyle by nickdismusic

  • v-nasty would destroy this beat

  • AS JAY ELECTRONICA FANS WE NEED TO PROMOTE HIS UPCOMMING ALBUM. Guys, check his twitter it's comming out REAL soon, but he has done NO promotion. It's gonna be like a pin drop in a loud room, yet I know the content will be classic material. Promote on FB, twitter, youtube, tell all your friends both on youtube and in real life lol! Lets make him get million in the first week he deserved and promote real hip hop!

  • @MrCommenterguy I agree my nigger!

  • I fiend for Jay Elec music. Props to his promo team and marketing strategy. They keeping me starving, and every time a little nugget shows up it gets devoured. Enigmatic and mythical. I go through sprees of hating and loving this guy for being so good. Makes me never wanna try rapping for this simple fact that I will NEVER be better than him. We are not worthy!

  • check out my tune I'm inspired by positive uplifting music like j coles, erykah badu, Bob Marley, J electronica and the list goes on id really appreciate any comments love constructive criticism

    Royal Empire

  • @topdog90U Is that what talent is to you? Buying a G5 airplane? 'Swag' through the roof? Jay ELectronica doesn't have enough money to buy a plane, but in terms of talent he is on a totally different level. He is one of the most potent MCs I've ever heard, lyrically and conceptually, THAT's talent. Hrmph, funny, soulja boy could buy a G5 plane yet in terms of talent, the ex- homeless 35 year old wins. Tells you something about the workings of the modern world doesn't it?!

  • "If you can't feel this rhyme sorry jack you don't know about rap"

Jay Electronica one of the nicest niggas doin' it

I'm tired of niggas fuckin' up the game with subjectmatterless ass rhymes, Jay reviving it you can tell how he flow like no other niggas in the game.

Niggas like Elect, Elzhi, Blu, DOOM keeping hip hop alive nowadays despite all the fuckery and trendy ass dance music and shit.

Search Eddie Pesos "Greatness" Puerto Rock kid from PA droppin' ill joints on the mic.

  • Comment removed

  • the longer the wait the better the album :) thumbs up for jay-e

  • nicki minaj doesnt even deserve to be in the fuckin suggestion bar for this video

  • This nigga 40 years old. Where your album nigga. There's a age limit on rapping and this shit need to be enforce.

  • @topdog90U i'd rather hear a 35 year old spitting real shit than some 19 year old kid screaming SWAG. fuck swag.

  • @pesely I mean I have nothing against the dude. All I'm saying is his buzz shot up and that was like 4 years ago now he 35 and still droppng mixtapes. a song here a song there. He killed his own buzz before he got his shit started. And for your diss to Soulja boy, he may not be the type of rapper you like, but that young nigga got talent. He just bought him a G5 airplane and his swag thru the roof.

  • @topdog90U i get the feeling that jay is not very concerned by his "buzz" or how many records he puts out. hes clearly not making music for a reputation or popularity or any of that, i think he makes music because he likes it and because he wants to get a message out. he may only drop a song every few months but id much rather listen to that one song then soulja boys whole album. soulja boy doesnt have talent actually your wrong all he has is marketability.

  • @topdog90U Jay Elect did kill his own buzz, but he isn't concerned with being famous. And "that young nigga got talent"... is that a joke... what talent? I mention this everytime, but did you know that Soulja Boy stole "Pretty Boy Swag" from a group of 12 year olds? To make things worse, those 12 year olds responded with a diss track on worldstarhiphop that ended up being better than Soulja Boy's "Pretty Boy Swag".

If he had talent, he wouldn't be jacking entire songs off of kids.

  • @AlphaAccount Why isn't he concerned about being faamous. That's the biggest bullshit ever. I can see if he tasted fame and was like I had that or was rich and wasn't concerned about money. He a rapper that haven't made it. His buzz didn't buy him a mansion, or a maybach you feel. He want fame, respect, and money. He just aint getting it and believe me he want that. Talk about soulja boy if you want he got that and money. He weak ass fuck as a rapper, but his talent is markability. He sell.
