BTW the scanner "display" sticker on the bottom of this is not screen accurate in regards to the original show. Additionally, the science and engineering scanners are of a totally different design.
AA/DST are currently offering a somewhat paired-down version of this item with their new Trek Tek Tricorders. Unfortunately they do not spin but they do include sound effects and/or lights. Adding a motor for the spinning effect should prove no problem.
Can you post the measurement of the scanner's display? I have the Playmates Dr McCoy's medical kit, and I'd like to get, or make, removable display stickers for it. One for medical, one for science, and one for security.
